Any fans of Fontaines DC and the Fall are going to want to check out the latest single “Airport” from Liverpool-based Alt Rock artist Yammerer. The deadpan swaggering vocals may share reminiscences with iconic artists. Yet, Yammerer has perceptibly strived to make the cutting, punchy instrumentals as distinctive as possible. You’ll only need to hear the jagged, bendy guitar progressions to know that they’ve succeeded in their endeavour.
With elements of Surf Rock and Chamber Psych weaved into the Punk soundscape, the guitars sear through their absorbing riffs and spill a kaleidoscope of high-energy psychedelic colour.
After hearing Yammerer on record, I won’t sleep on any chances to see them live.
Check out Airport which was released on November 21st for yourselves by heading over to YouTube now.
