Describing completely authentic soundscapes is never an enviable task. But rather than trying to allude to reminiscences or haphazardly slap a genre label on Wavesy’s debut track “Radio City” I’ll make an attempt to define the soulful, yet powerful emotion which oozes from the mellifluous restorative arrangement.
The up and coming artist kicked off their track with an atmospheric, tentative, reverb-soaked prelude before steadily picking up the momentum with a moody Indie Trap style beat, then progressing once more into a soft Indie Rock arrangement. Radio City is a track which unfolds with complete unpredictability, each seamless shift in the tempo leaves you even more tangibly immersed. The addition of vocals from the stunningly talented Alexis Rose provided the perfect dynamic to this deeply provoking track which offers some of the purest aural catharsis I’ve heard in a long time.
