Up & coming Hip Hop Rap artist Vooms has just released his first ever single Padded Walls. No, you don’t get any prizes for guessing the content of the track, but you may not be prepared for the gritty realism which got caught up in the progression of Padded Walls. With each punchline of the lyrics as compelling as the last it’s hard not to get caught up in the momentum and hype that Vooms lays down with his fluid bars. The beat runs ambiently in the background whilst Vooms absolutely vocally dominates the track, whilst I could be inclined to suggest that the levels on the beat were brought up in the mix a little, Vooms almost ventured into an Urban rendition of spoken word poetry which was all too easy to get caught up within.
