“Mother and Sister” is just one of the hauntingly stunning singles found on Vidaus’ second album “Don’t Check My Arms, Pt. 1”.
The sublime mix of Indie, Post Punk, and Shoegaze comes together in an ambiently pensive arrangement creating the perfect lucid platform for the softly versed vocals to bleed into.
The light guitar progressions match the melancholic sting of the lyrics as they synergistically offer a bleak catharsis. Even though Mother and Sister is a dark track, there’s still a warmth within its concordance making the single incredibly distinctive. But it’s safe to say that for any fans of the Verve, this up and coming artist should already be on your radar.
