Up and coming Prog House artist Treyeful dropped their latest track “Faded Thoughts” on September 3rd, spilling onto the airwaves an energetic mix which makes no compromises when it comes to accessibility.
Bringing in Esther Rowena Louise for the vocals was an act of ingenuity, rather than opting for the usual archetypally sterile vocals which shriek random repetitive words at you, the vocals added a real sense of connectivity to the soundscape as the lyrics do plenty more than just scratch at the surface of superficiality. The vocals may be unflinchingly powerful, but they also offer a potent amount of pensive emotion – and that’s a pretty raw alchemic sound to ingest.
To amp the emotion up even further, there’s no predicting the switch-ups in Faded Thoughts, the progressions have short bursts of fresh melodic momentum which has a tendency to ebb and flow throughout the mix. It’s a rhythmic rollercoaster which stands as a testament to the up and coming Leeds, UK-based artist’s talent.
