Love it or hate it, no one can deny that Trap is dominating the urban soundwaves right now. It’s fresh, it’s relatable and it’s infectious. Edgy lyrics have always been synonymous with Hip Hop, yet, the lyricism behind TRAPKid $ID’s latest drop “Powerade” may even be enough to make N.W.A a little uneasy. Yet, it would seem that TRAPKid $ID is just giving the fans what they want with his unapologetically abrasive lyrical approach.
At just over two minutes long, Powerade is a short and sweet in which the verses remained prominent throughout not too dissimilar from what you’d expect from MC Lars, yet, instead of versing about Shakespeare TRAPKid has kept his latest hit as salacious as possible. With pitch-perfect production, the beat moves through a fluid almost lucid arrangement proving that TRAPKid $ID is as serious about his beats as he is about making his tracks as hard-hitting as possible.
