Icelandic Post Pop artist Seint has cooked up yet another Indie R&B Soul Trap masterpiece with his latest album “IV”, while all of the 14 tracks all perceptibly scream commercial potential there is no better introduction to the artist’s sound than the single “Good News”.
The track kicks off with an old school Hip Hop soundscape before seamlessly switching into R&B which could only have been born in this era. It is not all too often that you get treated to a generous serving of Soul alongside the harsh smacks of 808s, but Seint manages to wrap together a myriad of elements from various genres to create a track which is truly prodigal. Good News also finds space in the arrangement to squeeze in sonic synth melodies to give the track even more distinction. Whilst wavy Trap vocals may not be everyone’s cup of tea, for those who appreciate excessive vocal distortion is sure to appreciate what Seint has created with Good News.
