From the first few seconds of listening to the Atom’s latest track Idea X, you know you’re in for a cataclysmically raucous mix. Yet as you slip into their fluidly progressive style it almost becomes a point of frustration as you wonder where to place the Leeds based band’s sound. With elements of Classic Rock, Sleaze Rock, Electro Rock and Alt Indie, you can be sure that you’ll be treated to a smorgasbord of high-octane energy, anthemically crushing instrumental breakdowns. The accessibly fuzzy synth and poised lyrics are going to ensure that you’re going to fall a little bit in love with. With influences including Joy Division, Muse, the Killers and Genesis their records were never going to sound flat.
You can check the earlier EP’s and singles from the Atoms by heading over to Spotify, follow the band on Facebook to keep up to news of the release of their new music.
