To really appreciate the latest track “O.N.E” by The Ady Baker Sound you’re gonna have to crank the raucously indulgent track right up to experience the electrifying reverb which is paired with the intricately light guitar progressions.
O.N.E. kicks off leaving you under the impression you’re in the safe confines of a melancholically mellow, yet angst riddled Post Punk Track. But when the chorus hits, you’re in the midst of a polyphonic psych rock track which may as well have been produced by Trent Reznor.
While the sonic soundscape thrashes through progressions of ingeniously placed samples around Post Punk guitar and drum arrangements, it’s all but impossible not to get caught up in the arrestive quality of the viscerally fierce yet sonorously hypnotic soundscape. With their authentic and simultaneously distinctive Post Punk sound, the Reading-based band definitely won’t fall short of music fans in Manchester. And, I’m sure anyone with a penchant for My Bloody Valentine, Magazine, Bauhaus, and PIL will want to save space for the Ady Baker Sound on their playlists.
