When a calm, quiescent frill-free soundscape instantaneously grips you, you know you’ve just stumbled across aural gold. From the first few notes in Australian Singer-Songwriter Tessa Devine’s stunning Indie single “Run”, we were hooked.
It’s natural, it’s organic, and it boasts the same even mellifluous magnetism as singles such as Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car”. Run might not be able to offer the same nostalgia when you press play, but you’ll hear the exact same talent and level of raw undiluted emotion. Additionally, Tessa Devine went one step further and ensured that the melodies were crafted for 21st-century airwaves. There’s a slight hint of Moody Indie Pop in Run. But with the warmth in Tessa Devine’s vocals and the light melodic guitar work, the full tonal palette was covered.
