“Lucky Girls” is the second single released by the up and coming Neo-Soul Pop artist Taura’s debut EP. The London-based singer-songwriter’s sound may be heavy influenced by soulfully archaic soundscapes, but the attitude which Taura brings to the airwaves is unapologetically modern.
There’s a resonance behind Lucky Girls which sinks its teeth in through the ambience offered by the Jazz-style piano which accompanies the soft and melodic R&B Hip Hop Pop beats. And once you hit play, you won’t need any of my flowery words to remind you of the concordance which Taura is able to offer vocally. Not all voices are made to sit so synergistically against a melody, but Taura’s perceptively is.
