New American Hustle roll in with elegant ”Flexxx For You”

New American Hustle is a virtual band from California & Italy. Led by Ian Smith and a sultry cast of female vocalists, they create unique and transcendent music for all of us to enjoy on full volume. They return with the new spectacular song called ”Flexxx For You”.

This is the new single after the scrumptious EP debut ”Harlot For Days” from earlier on in 2020. A much simpler time. Just like this absolute gem.

Scotland’s The Plastic Era make debut with dark-pop song ”Rid of Me”

The Plastic Era is the brainchild of Charlie Rees who is a Scottish solo artist and drummer for the metal band Cerberon. ”Rid Of Me” is the name of the debut release from this new band and this is a thought-provoking track.

Currently staying in Stirling after being born in Falkirk, The Plastic Era are a vibrant act that delve into a hectic subject. Breakups are never pleasant and this can lead to us doing things we normally wouldn’t do. This song is all about wanting to stay with that person and to avoid breaking up with them. This however is not natural and sometimes things are just meant to end.

”Rid Of Me” is a dark song and the video below will attest to that. The Scottish act The Plastic Era show lots of passion for this indie track that is full of twists and turns.

The Hague, Netherlands is the home of Tech House DJ and fashion icon, Benny James. He is back on the airwaves with his freshest release yet. This new funky disco track is an absolute statement song and is called ”Get Out Of My House”.

”Get Out Of My House” from Benny James is such a fun ride that doesn’t let you go the whole way. This is a fun song to listen to and I even dusted off my dance shoes for this one. Benny takes us into his world with a party vibe that makes you smile and jive along.

This is a perfect song to turn up loud at a house party and enjoy with friends. Benny James has a magnetic energy that glides through the speakers. ”Get Out Of My House” might be the grooviest house tune you hear all year.

Marquis Drive roll in with honest classic ”Truth Don’t Shock”

Marquis Drive are a 7-piece UK band from Cannock in the West Midlands region of England. They smash through the speakers with their new terrific track called ”Truth Don’t Shock”. This is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Founded in 1991 under a wandering star somewhere next to a Weatherspoons pub, this quality indie band were born from a mutual love of football, clobber, and of course great music.

You can hear that Marquis Drive are a tight band who are one of the best around. This new music video is highly impressive as well as being such an honest release about the state of affairs in the UK.

”Truth Don’t Shock” is a fine Brit-Pop classic from the Marquis Drive boys as they send us a real message to confirm their place at the very top of the UK music scene. The riffs are fantastic and the vocals powerful- just what we needed in this tumultuous year. There is a 90’s feel to this top track that barrels into our hearts.

Philly rapper Talibvndit fires in with ”Runn It Upp”

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the home of rapper Talibvndit. His new track is called ”Runn It Upp” and it fires in through a skate park and hungry lyrics from an underground emcee.

”Runn It Upp” is a hungry track from a young rapper who is building his name up in the game. The Philly scene is well-known in the Hip Hop scene in the USA and Talibvndit is slowly emerging as one of the finest talents from the area. His verses are fired up, he has seen it all and is running things the way he likes it.

”Runn It Upp” from Talibvndit is another addition to his growing collection of music. After only being in the music world for just over a year, we need to keep an eye out for progression from this talented rapper.

Chicago emcee Tae Gwapo scorches the mic with touchdown track ”Visions”

Tae Gwapo is a Chicago based indie emcee with a fine flow and he get the MVP with his new track called ”Visions”. This is a life-lesson masterclass with a sumptuous beat that bellows through the speakers with hauntingly beautiful female vocals added in to complete the team.

What are you main goals? This is the story here and the real advice continues. People are either gonna love or hate you. That is facts that might seem hard to understand at first but it will sink in eventually. Tae Gwapo has seen it all and he fully aware of feeding your team and keeping your eyes wide open in this crazy world.

Tae Gwapo’s ”Visions” is without a shadow of a doubt my favorite Hip Hop track of 2020 and this song serves a purpose. This quality storyteller who is on top form and shares his view of the world on this one. I like how self-aware he is and how the fame hasn’t gotten to his head. If anything, it has made him wiser. Turn this up and hit that repeat.

Psyrena shows us that life should be bright with electro-pop dream ”Rainbows & Unicorns”

London-based Indie Electro Art-Pop artist Psyrena aka Madeleine Wise is back with ”Rainbows & Unicorns” and this is a color-filled dream that has just blown my mind. In a good way.

Psyrena serves up her own specially designed unique mix of electronica, cinematic scores and pop music all wrapped into glowing legwarmers. We are now entering part 2 Psyrena as she embraces the light and shines through like a happy dream.

Her new single ”Rainbows & Unicorns” is a creamy n’ catchy electro-pop anthem with a clear message to embrace diversity in the world. Bears, mushrooms and fantastic adventures in the woods make a huge feature in the video too.

Born out of the frustrations of social distancing, Psyrena uses her imagination to enter into her own inner technicolor dream world. Mentor Yak Bondy plays a massive part here and these two make a dream team of note.

This track forms part of her forthcoming EP “Quarantella Rockefella” released later this year. We can’t wait for that full release as this is one of the most vividly intriguing songs of 2020. The way this song was made causes my brain to work better and inspires me to smile more. ”Rainbows & Unicorns” from Psyrena is simple magical.

David Wakeling returns with brilliant ”Stolen Moments, Borrowed Time”

David Wakeling is a singer-songwriter from Portland in Oregon. He is a full time physician and his music allows him to escape the crazy world for a while. He is back with his new song ”Stolen Moments, Borrowed Time”.

This is an Original retro synth 80’s pop track written and filmed at David’s home during the wild Covid isolation times. The song is perfect for these times as it reminds us all that we are on borrowed time and need to make the most of it.

”Stolen Moments, Borrowed Time” is a lovely song from sushi fan David Wakeling and this humble man who donates all of his music earnings to charity has given us a magical song that is so full of love.

The Portland singer-songwriter with a heart of gold is a terrific listen as he reminds us of being present in life. After 11 albums in his collection to date, David is a sucker for harmonies and a good story. He hope to convey those elements in his music.

DJ Akawave’s ”Yaquanu” is a live loop Hip Hop wonderland

Edgar Weltens or as he is known in the music game- Aka Wave– is a Dutch music producer and performer based in the stunning sea-soaked South of Spain in Europe. This former bboy is a Hip Hop culture fan, sound design and ambient soundscape lover.

After lots of practice and working out what style of music he wanted play, he decided to go for a technique called Live Looping. This style has worked and organic live experiences is what Aka Wave creates.

”Yaquanu” talks about the pain and suffering that stems from our modern world ignoring its own roots. We have built a system on top of nature’s system. The current system does not respect or understand the ways of nature we see suffering all around us.

The new album off the same name is an instrumental Hip Hop album that pushes the boundaries and 27 tracks are set to be released. Aka Wave has been busy.

”Yaquanu” is a fantastic song and the video is so stunning that it might put you in a difference frame of mind. In a good way.

Mister Boddy shines on debut video for ”You’re The Reason”

Mister Boddy is a Hip Hop artist and producer based in Texas in the USA who has just released a fresh debut track called ”You’re The Reason”.

I love how the song starts as the beat is so calm and tranquil. There is a statue with a mask on which is surely one of the pictures of 2020. The female vocals are simply stupendous and beautiful. This is a story of old love and you still think about it. The pain hurts so much and you reminisce about the great times. You toss and turn but nothing will unfortunately change.

”You’re The Reason” is such a top track from the new artist. This is a fabulous debut and the video is so well done and simply stunning. It’s one of those videos you can’t stop watching. The beat grabs you by the heart and doesn’t let you go. Mister Boddy is here to stay and with new music expected in a few days, this artist is going all the way up in the music biz. The cream always rises to the top.
