Settle in for a ‘Long Hard Winter’ with Ben Brooks’ Americana Folk single, ft EG Vines

If you can already feel Seasonal Affective Disorder kicking in, sink into the latest single, Long Hard Winter, by the Americana folk raconteur Ben Brooks.

Created in collaboration with EG Vines, the meta single cleverly runs in the parallels between the winter phases of our lifetimes and the bitterly cold season which leaves serotonin in short supply; both of which leave us yearning for the spring and summer of youth and the warmth that allows the trees to blossom.

With a sonic style as arrestingly affecting as Bob Dylan and Neil Young, Ben Brooks, who has recently found his voice and inspiration again post-Covid, is perceptibly back in his stride. This bitter-sweet earworm will undoubtedly become a great source of comfort for many as the leaf litter thickens and days darken. Even though it was written during the hardest winter during the pandemic, it’s a smorgasbord of sun-toned soul.

The real deal: Tekyume! thrives gloriously where others get cold on ‘Winter!’

With a hot delivery that bakes those tasty smells of goodness through those cold haters who only see the worst in people, Tekyume! is highly impressive on his new single about keeping your heart alive called ‘Winter!’.

Tekyume! is an emerging underground American emcee with a laser-like lyrical sequence of rap delivery force fields, that busts your mind into a new world of intrigue and imagination.

The earthy beat of sumptuous quality breathes more life into your curious mind, as you sit back to hear this quick-fire song that shows you his ultimate intent up close and personal. This is a confident man with a cape on and he is certain of his place up at the front of the table, not the back with all the rest.

This is the story of feeling really good and wanting to let everyone know that you demand respect. This is a fickle game and you want to serve out for the set, your ruthless flow simmers all over the small-minded doubters, to make them think twice about opening their mouth twice.

‘Seasons’ is the kick ass track with so much luster by Ascot’s finest Picture The Scene

With winter in the UK coming around right about now- just as their 2nd lock down has begun- this is a Post-Punk firecracker with sparks of Pop and Rock, that is a like a warm blanket right now for our cold feet. Surrey band Picture The Scene are to thank for this, and they smash the ice right off the windows, with the brand spanking new single called ‘Seasons‘.

With so many different elements and influences in their music, you get the feeling that this is a professional outfit that love to constantly evolve, and they take you on a whirlwind of a carpet ride with their latest single. They are cutting edge and seem to sharpen as this track morphs into a water slide of exuberance- that you won’t forget too easily.

‘Seasons‘ from Ascot’s Post-Punk revelers and the act with the most awesome name- Picture The Scene– is a real shot in the arm, as they bring forth some rugged attitude and an ode to the grand days of summer. They vividly show us what is going on in the UK right now and this will definitely warm you up quite nicely.
