Never Change: Connecticut rapper Senseibatch keeps the tempo on high with ‘Life Goes On’

With his street smarts and subtle hustle mentality forming together naturally all at once, Senseibatch knows that he is in the right lane of success and is only going to keep the peddle to the metal on ‘Life Goes On‘.

Trevor Cumberbatch Jr aka Senseibatch is a Windsor, Connecticut-based trap artist and music producer who makes his own beats. He fuses together that new school sound together, and adds in lyrics about life as he sees it in this wild world.

With a shuddering soundscape that might shatter windows aplenty if played loud in your revved up car, this is a song that speaks volumes for an emerging artist on the rise. His raps are hard and full of bars — the flow is confident and with very little flash — only straight up lyrics enter his mind, as he makes a splash on this top new single.

Life Goes On‘ from Connecticut-based rapper Senseibatch, shows us to where you need to be in life if you want to be successful in life. After dealing with so many fake people before, he knows who his true crew are and intends keeping it that way.

With a thumping beat and some laid-back vocal raps, he appears to be in a very confident state of mind to only move on upwards. He is not changing for anyone as believes in his abilities, to do whatever he sets his mind to.

Saiint Pat goes viral with his latest trap track, ‘Come Thru’

The official music video for Saiint Pat’s latest hazy melodic trap single, Come Thru, is well on its way to racking up half a million streams on YouTube since its release on March 29th; the vibe-master’s track is the pinnacle of new wave trap. It’s clear that Saint Pat doesn’t just create hip hop, he lives and breathes it.

Saiint Pat’s journey started with a $30 mic and a love for Tupac, Chief Keef and 50 Cent but no matter how many accolades he has collected, you can count on his refusal to move away from the raw and intimate freestyle vibe to his tracks that flow with unbridled versatility and talent.

Laura Tanifum smashes stereotypes in her RnB Trap track, ‘Sugar Cane’.

RnB Hip Hop fans will want to turn their attention to Laura Tanifum’s fierily melodious standout single, Sugar Cane. The Canadian singer-songwriter and rapper made her debut in 2019; in 2021, she’s coming into her own as increasing numbers of fans are scouting her out for her sweet yet subversive tracks.

With Sugar Cane, she plays around with the notion of female stereotypes and proves that there’s plenty more to women beyond the sweet and superficial facades while the trap beats grind through plenty of atmospheric reverb. It’s a stunning, almost-reminiscent-less release that puts Tanifum in good stead for her breakthrough from the independent underground.

You can check out Sugar Cane for yourselves by heading over to Spotify.

Feenyx – Atlantan rap with a brand new ‘Horizon’

Raised by The Church and honed by the streets, Atlanta-based hip-hop artist and producer Feenyx is far from the typical rapper; on new single ‘Horizon’ we get a fresh combination of thunderous bass mixed with sampled brass and horns underlying Feenyx’s unique flow and grind. There’s elements of Snoop in here, little flourishes kind of reminiscent of Snow and that bombastic, edge-of-reggae delivery, it’s brash, loud, and in your face, with a catchy hook and that big, bold three-note ostinato phrase that lodges in your head for hours after listening. ‘Horizon’ is already getting national radio play, and – as Feenyx’s first single of 2021 – promises to be dropping hot in the clubs this summer.

Edword Evwrit wants to talk to us ‘Right Now’

Hailing from the Bay Area, California, Edword Evwrit is a solo hip hop artist, as well as a member of both Liquor Mouth and Lunaclick; ‘Right Now’ then is a delicious slab of old-school hip hop, funky and grooving, with a deep, deep pounding bass and a pretty little closed hi-hat pattern keeping everything ticking. At times it’s reminiscent of De La Soul, at others that questioning call-and-response rap style that Eminem does so, so well. There’s moments of ‘The Real Slim Shady’ here, mixed with little bits of ‘Three Feet High and Rising’ and Cube’s ‘Today Was A Good Day’.

Evwrit’s got some gorgeous flow, little double-rhymed couplets, some of the syllables cut up and spat bullet-like, others drawn out and rhythmic, with multiple rhyme patterns and a cute little semi-psychedelic drop at around the two-minute mark making ‘Right Now’ a cut above the average modern hip hop release; Evwrit’s rhyme patterns and intelligent wordplay, coupled with cracking backdrop instrumentation and arrangement, make this a stand-out track. You should check it out. Right now.

Linden Tyson brings the ‘ENERGY’ with his latest boom-bap track.

Fiery trap, 90s RnB, boom-bap, and jazz hip hop pull together as the cornerstones in Linden Tyson’s latest single, ‘ENERGY’. The New York-hailing artist brought that definitive NYC sound into the mix and plenty of his honesty through the lyrics that allow you to prize inspiration from Tyson’s hard-fought-for introspection.

The sharp and playful bars groove along with the boom-bap beats that come with a touch of classic RnB in the keys. ENERGY is practically an aural orgy of urban 90s sounds that will bring plenty of nostalgia for 90s kids.

Since 2017, Linden Tyson has been making heads spin with his dizzying canter and soul-filling 808s as an independent artist; it is only a matter of time before he gets scouted by a major label. Watch this space.

Linden Tyson’s latest single, ENERGY, is now available to stream via Spotify.

808Riot – Hide & Seek featuring Jared Anthony and Project Zak

With an intro that holds reminiscence to Sweet Dreams by the fallen goth icon, the haunting dark indie tones in the prelude to 808Riot’s latest single, Hide & Seek, featuring Jared Anthony and Project Zak, makes no bones about immersing you in this evocative firestorm.

The Queensland, Australia-based producer and engineer takes inspiration from the likes of XXXTENTACION, Internet Money and Metro Boomin. Instead of following a path of assimilation, he’s paved his own and earned plenty of acclaim in the industry as a direct result.

Hide & Seek certainly isn’t without melancholy, but you can’t help but feel galvanised by the inventive contrasts between tone and texture in the track that paints all across the tonal palette.

Hide & Seek is now available to stream via Spotify.

Pick Patek has got us a problem with ‘GUAP’

Pick Patek

The second of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-native producer and performer Pick Patek’s collaborative singles with ProdOMG, ‘GUAP’ (Got U A Problem) shows off Patek’s more playful side with high-energy beats and a smooth, controlled lyrical flow. Lyrically, ‘GUAP’ is kicking back on haters, and defending Patek’s own lifestyle choices – it’s tongue-in-cheek, fun, and it kicks like a mule when it wants to, Patek’s delivery quickfire and machine-gun like, over subtle bass and beats. There’s elements of Kanye and Chance the Rapper in here, soft and subtle, but the track’s also got some serious bounce and groove and Patek has a sound of his own with those gentle nods to influences. It’s a cracker of a hip hop piece, and a definite for anyone who’s grown tired of having other people’s opinions forced upon them.

Pray4Diego just can’t ‘Forget You’

Based out of Brooklyn, NYC, Pray4Diego is an independent recording artist and producer; new single ‘Forget You’ is a great mix of higher-tempo, hi-hat-focussed beats, tenderly picked electric guitar, and gentle, laid-back rap groove from Pray4Diego’s chilled, controlled delivery. Lyrically, it’s a plea to an ex-lover, where regret mingles with hope and a plea for another chance to make things right. It’s a well put-together track, nicely balanced between upbeat and longing, entreaty and repentance, all set to a simple backing of bass, hats, and that cute little repeating guitar line. The simplicity of the music and melody makes the track work, focussing the listener on the vocal line and lyrical flow, encouraging us to listen and take in Pray4Diego’s appeal. It’s tidy, it’s tasty, and it’d genuinely got soul.

You can hear ‘Forget You’ on Spotify; find Pray4Diego on Instagram and SoundCloud.
