Party is the latest sensually soulful urban Trap Pop single by up and coming artist Audrey. There was no forgetting her first single release earlier this year with ‘80deg’.
With Party, she’s slightly mixed up her styles to keep the synthesised chord progressions a little more mainstream and predictable, yet she’s kept the same overwhelmingly seductive style of vocals that you really can’t forget when they’re matched with the big hooks and lush synths. Whilst the lyrics were a little more brash in her first single, she’s shown that she’s not just a one trick pony with her second release and created an emotionally steeped Trap ballad. Let’s face it, I’m pretty sure we’ve all been there, dating an absolute party boy waster and reaching breaking point. (I really hope it’s not just me now). The track has once again been polished to absolute perfection and packs in plenty of synthy reverb for you to get caught up amongst. Perhaps what I adore the most about Party is her almost comedic use of a heavily reverberated male voice saying ‘sorry’. What an absolute Queen.
