NIGHT RIDE Release New Single LAY YOU DOWN

Trailed by a captivating overall musical performance which was further adorned with a catchy electro-pop sound that leaves one twirling and swirling to its gracious vibe, Night Ride really proved that they are still belligerent, camera-ready and more focused to reach the zenith of their music career in their sojourn thus far. This duo is the next best thing to happen to the Electro-pop music industry.

No, this is not like the usual drudge we do take in with a hard pinch of salt, It only takes 3 seconds out 4 minutes total play time of this amazing song for you to be entrapped and unfurled into a forever porch light of beautiful reverie.

So out goes the pop-electro-rock hybrid; which in its place sits a broad EDM party mix that initially manifested itself as One Republic pastiche on a subtle tale of unrequited love and emotional trauma. It’s exactly when the beam of awesomely pitched melody and amazing sexy vocals entwines with the synth-pop vibe of this song that its power of transfixion sets in.

The accentuate music group; Night Ride, is an electronic pop duo embracing synth-pop and rock, and fusing it with theatre, fashion, technology and art which creates a comfort zone that feels genuine.

Night Ride band draws their inspiration on this song from the tale of their sexual experience and couple of situation-ships which isn’t really what you would likely notice at the first listen since the vibe would rather make you pay less attention to the lyrics of the song. This also further backed up the reason why their music influencers happen to be the likes The Weeknd, CHVRCHES, Grimes, GusGus, and Paramore.

As the first track to be released from their forthcoming E.P. ‘Neon Dreams’, Lay You Down gives a good insight of what to expect from the up and coming duo and I simply hope they’d surpass my imagination just like they did in this song when I eventually get my hands on their EP album when it’s released.

A north star in a psychedelic milky way is the overriding theme of Night Ride’s “Lay You Down”. Everything was more than I expected. Simply put, It was nothing short of class and quality.

A&R Factory Present: Lauren Carter

Based out of Los Angeles, Lauren Carter, according to GQ Mexico, proves that ‘talent and beauty can co-exist.’ Viva Glam Magazine states, ‘if you love Lana del Rey, you’ll love Lauren Carter.’  Vents Magazine states, her single Rulebreaker features ‘an eclectic melody blending seductive vocals with pounding drums that is a work of pop perfection.’ Maxim Magazine called Lauren a ‘triple sexy triple threat,’ and DJ Fresh, who featured her in music video ‘Lassitude’, called Lauren ‘easy on the eyes, and a pleasure to work with.’ As a vocalist, she has a resonant three octave range that can deliver haunting ethereal notes to a full on belt.

A self-proclaimed ‘music nerd’ Lauren has completed a Masters Degree in Music, resulting in her knowing Beethoven and Schubert as well as she knows Lana del Rey, Bjork, or say, Leonard Cohen. Featured extensively in her career in magazines such as GQ, Maxim, Esquire, she explores the relationship between audience and performer, the male gaze, and her writing delves into topics like sexual politics, female independence, life in Los Angeles, and the American Dream. Combining an exhibitionist quality with an academic/ introvert’s soul…Lauren Carter continues to push the envelope.  In 2016 her track ‘Around the Globe’ was picked up by Volkswagen for a radio commercial. She is an award-winning vocalist who attended prestigious Northwestern University and University of Southampton, UK and has lived and worked primarily out of London and Los Angeles.

Lauren’s full EP, ‘American Dream,’ will be released in January 2017.

A&R Factory Present: Dotter

Born Johanna Maria Jansson (she adopted the name Dotter – Swedish for daughter) in the striking and artistically-friendly environment of Arvika, not far from the Swedish/Norwegian border, she started playing music “so early that I must’ve been born a musician.” Enamoured by her parents’ record collection – which featured everything from Led Zeppelin to indigenous music to Enya – Dotter experimented with home recordings and started writing piano compositions as a child.

After collaborating with producers online, she decided to head to Stockholm: not only to study music, but to also to benefit from the potential connections that can be found in a capital city. “I found a guy who wanted to record a demo with me,” she recalls. “And then we fell in love, so I’ve stayed in his studio ever since.”

That connection with producer Dino Medanhodzic also sparked a rich creative partnership as they crafted her breakthrough single ‘My Flower’, her follow-up ‘Dive’ and this summer’s new track ‘Creatures of the Sun’.

“My inspiration is always the ‘70s, but sometimes I don’t think about it so much – it just becomes something that doesn’t sound like anyone else,” she says, noting her love for using natural phenomenon as a metaphor for human emotion. “I grew up surrounded by nature and amongst mountains and I want to bring that feeling into the music. I also wanted to express the importance of protecting and caring for our planet.”

Those themes, she explains, are also prevalent in ‘Creatures of the Sun’. “It’s interesting to think about all of the coincidences that led to us being here on earth. All of my ancestors before me have led to this moment. It could’ve been totally different. Whether you’re a human or an animal or a flower, every second in life we’re important to the earth. And when we die we go back to the earth.”

Since releasing ‘My Flower’ and ‘Dive’, Dotter has focused on developing her live show, with a huge homecoming festival at Arvika’s Hamnfest a particular highlight to date. Mostly, however, she’s been working extensively on new material, both for herself and as a songwriter for other artists. ‘Creatures of the Sun’ is likely to be followed by another collaboration with Medanhodzic with ‘Evolution’ (“It’s about my own evolution as a person”).

Dotter has also been working with London-based producer Michael Angelo, whose credits include Sam Smith and Lady Leshurr. It’s a natural progression for an artist whose ambition is to reach audiences in the UK and North American, as well as at home in Sweden.

Possessing a unique approach that separates her from the pack, Dotter’s inimitable charm will be the calling card that enables her to be discovered by the wider world.
