Living one day at a time: Memphis artist Imsorryzach drops rap track ‘Gemini’ to bring some flavour to 2020

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaxsN4fWptk

The highly motivated Pop/Rap artist, producer, and engineer Imsorryzach from Memphis, Tennessee enters our galaxy on the party song with a regret filled tone added to twist the story on ‘Gemini’.

This is the adventure about having fun and doing what you want with your best friend as the night is still young. It’s been a wack year so keeping the circle small and tight has been necessary. The raps are new school and have the popular Post Malone type of delivery and beat to it. This is a fresh track that shows off the lucid skills of a rapper who has big goals. He wants to be up there with the best and feels like he can get there.

The music picture goes into small detail about knowing that you want to be with that special human but things are up and down for that relationship at the moment. One day they want you and the next they don’t. This is a common theme at the moment unfortunately as social media and dating apps have distorted our brains into the worrying compare mentality syndrome.

With a riveting beat and plenty of swag in the video, Imsorryzach shows us what he is made of on the quality ‘Gemini’. Life is full of ups and downs but he is a rapper on the rise who flows so smoothly and keeps it fresh like his stylish coat. Gemini’s are bright, quick-witted, and the proverbial life of the party after all.

US Singer-songwriter Reverend James Elmore Jenkins sings with such self-awareness and realness on the Black Lives Matter inspired- ‘A Lament‘.

Reverend James Elmore Jenkins is a minister and musician from Manchester in Tennessee. He seeks to entertain and educate through songs, sermons, and sayings. As a Christian, he hopes to honor and glorify the Lord in all that he does.

This is a song all about the sad loss of life that is happening especially in the USA at the moment. Pointless killings that seem to be motivated by racial hate. This is a shocking story that is so sad to see.

A Lament‘ from Reverend James Elmore Jenkins is an indie-folk song packed full of thoughtfulness and love. This is an artist that seeks peace and this is a fine effort indeed. Hopefully his message will inspire change, change that is so needed in a world that seems to be full of hate but deep down, is full of love.

Basement Brain release album Big Things

Indie artist Basement Brain has dropped their eight-track collection, ‘Big Things’ with a variety of sounds, through these truly mesmerising pieces.

There’s something about basement brain that as soon as you listen you’re instantly hooked. Infusing that Indie sound through the calming sound of the instrumentals and the eerie brittle vocals that are filled with this roar emotion that pours through each word that is sung.

Having that powerful use of the acoustic guitar strings clasping together to create that melodic tune, the way it automatically connects with the vocals is what makes these tracks such incredible pieces, they flow together perfectly never out of tune and together they make this truly remarkable sound.

It’s safe to say that the vocals are insane, they’re unique and have their own style and tone, one that you don’t hear a lot of and that’s why basement brain is one that stands out because everything about the music is their own style and not copied from other artists.

Each track on this anthology is a hit, it has a lot of feelings running in and out, through the slight crack in the voice as the emotion fills up, the way in which the acoustic guitar has this in tune upbeat instrumental. It’s an amazing Album, to say the least, and one that should be given all the recognition.

The Skeleton Krew – Love: Jaw dropping, Eye popping Goth Rock!

If all good things come in small packages, expect to listen to this song and get one of the best surprises from a dynamic duo from Jackson, Tennessee. Hunter Cross and Cameron Briley make up the members of The Skeleton Krew and their latest offering called “Love”, is already making some serious waves on the internet.

The song starts off with sweet, intricately woven harmonies, reminiscent of Crosby, Stills and Nash or Alison Krauss, and one would be forgiven for thinking that they were about to take us on a journey down the best of a scenic Country or Soft Rock road. Instead, a few face melting guitar solos, talented drum rolls and riffs that are played deep in the pocket, and an incredible vocal performance, make for a heady mix of Punk, Rock, and Goth that is teeth clatteringly good. It’s eight short bars in the back of Buick but the rest is pedal to the metal in a Mustang all the way!

You are going to want to rewind this track a few times as the musicality and vocal dexterity is subtle but brilliant.

Listen to “Love” by The Skelton Crew here at Soundclound. Have fun, we sure did!

Shadow Horse twist that bridges the gaps between old school and contemporary metal

The Visitor by Shadow Horse

Shadow Horse is a heavy metal band hailing from Nashville, Tennessee. Their music immediately stands out for its broad range and for the band’s unique approach to songwriting, denoting a truly special personality and an original twist that bridges the gaps between old school and contemporary metal.

The band’s recent single, “Spear”, is a great example of the well-refined sonic mechanism at the core of the band’s tone. The song has some really great riffs, a dense, heavy beat and more importantly, a smooth vocal flow that sits perfectly on top of the instruments, easily cutting through the mix.

On “Spear”, Shadow Horse showcases a driven attitude, with lots of talent and a unique vision. Their tone could be described as a refreshing blend of doom and heavy metal, echoing the work of influential artists such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest or Arch Enemy, only to mention a few of the bands that come to mind while listening to this music.
