AK Diorr. takes us on a ride with his latest melodic hip hop single, ‘CHROME FORGIATOS’.

With so much hype around LA-based singer-songwriter AK Diorr., we dove into his latest single, CHROME FORGIATOS. The grooves in the light and ambient feat of melodically sun-bleached hip hop instantly affirmed how Diorr. has garnered so much acclaim since his debut single, ‘Eager’, dropped in 2020.

CHROME FORGIATOS may explore lavish excess, but the through his magnetism and the romanticism of the soundscape that breaks the monocultural mould, the track becomes so much more than just another series of status symbol boasts. You would struggle to find more soul in a contemporary hip hop track.

It’s easy to predict his trajectory to the top soaring in 2021 and beyond. Save a space for him on your radar.

CHROME FORGIATOS is now available to stream via Spotify.

Constant Flow make the bass thump with ‘Pac Lyfe’

It’s been a bad few weeks for rap and hip hop, with the recent tragic deaths of both DMX and Double K, but it’s just possible there’s the slightest little glimmer of light in that darkness with ‘Pac Lyfe’, the new single from Floridian crew Constant Flow. Taken from new album ‘Unexpected – The Mixtape’, ‘Pac Lyfe’ grooves and grinds like proper old school dirty, gritty hip hop should, all deep bass, 808 beats, and smooth, lyrical flow.

It’s grimy, it’s sexy, and at times it’s downright despicable, all thump and punch, hard-hitting bass beats sitting behind that repetitive ‘…I can make the bass thump…’ vocal stamp; and yes. Yes, they absolutely can. You should check it out, right now, before the foundations crumble.

Hear ‘Pac Lyfe’, and the rest of ‘Unexpected – the Mixtape’, on Spotify; check out Constant Flow on Facebook.

B7ayre prepares us for ‘Summer Days’ with his latest single

Instead of dropping a mindlessly archetypal summer hip hop track, B7ayre is here with his latest single, ‘Summer Days’, which resoundingly reminds you that the days getting longer isn’t a guarantee of your life instantly getting better.

With the sun-bleached reggae and blues-infused Hip Hop beats bringing the high vibes and B7ayre’s bars demanding that you stay grounded in reality while the track runs through, it’s an exceptionally subversive track that breaks the mould and blows your mind while doing so.

You can check out the official video to Summer Days that dropped on March 1st via YouTube.

Hippie Tribe put urban grit into romantic pop grooves with ‘MARGEILA MISTRESS’

NYC Hip Hop duo Hippie Tribe lay down sticky-sweet soul in their latest release ‘MARGEILA MISTRESS’, which dropped just in time for valentine’s day to prove that urban grit and romantic pop grooves can sit in hand.

As the duo, consisting of Niko Thorpe and Dee Pickney, take care of everything from the lyrics to the mastering, there’s an authenticity to their self-produced sound, and you’d still be hard-pressed to guess a big-name producer wasn’t reeled in to polish and finish it.

Before lockdown, the indie artists graced the stages of Mercury Lounge, The Knitting Factory and Bowery Electric. We can only imagine how high-energy those shows were thanks to Hippie Tribe’s reggae-tinged sun-soaked mellifluous style.

MARGEILA MISTRESS is now available to stream via SoundCloud.

Riese Kendrick delivers sun and optimism-soaked beats in their latest release, ‘Celebrate’

Reasons to celebrate may be few and far between these days, but Riese Kendrick’s sophomore single, ‘Celebrate’, will allow you to believe otherwise.

Celebrate follows on from the success of the up and coming hip hop artist’s 2020 debut single; it’s yet another testament to their ability when it comes to creating a vibe with their enlivening sun and optimism-soaked beats. While the smooth and stylistic melodies drip-feed dopamine, the lyrics remind you of the power of perception; you can either get into bed with apathy or follow Riese Kendrick’s enigmatic example.

Flow has brought RnB into a new era with ‘Where You Been’

https://soundcloud.com/flowsadventure/where-you-been

North Carolina RnB Soul pioneer, Flow, released his latest sun-soaked hit ‘Where You Been’ on December 11th, with elements of Deep House and Afrobeat weaved in, it’s impossible not to catch the infectious high vibes.

While playfully experimental progressions allow glitchy beats to add to the energy of the smooth RnB melodies, Flow gives you an idea of how he came about his moniker. By switching between soul-dripping crooning and energising Rap verses, there isn’t a moment in the track which will allow your attention to falter from the fresh ingenuity on offer.

You can check out Flow’s latest single via Soundcloud.

Good.To.Go + Phelonius Munk raise the roof with their Euphoric Hip Hop track ‘Heard Em Say’

Euphoric party Hip Hop vibes and Punk Rock attitude will be blazing through your speakers if you hit play on the latest release ‘Heard Em Say’ from Good.To.Go + Phelonius Munk.

The energy in the witty and playfully cutting freestyle Rap bars match the anthemic momentum delivered by the high-octane EDM Hip Hop beats cooked up by the LA-based emcee who always stays true to his raw DIY ethos.

You couldn’t ask for a better festival Hip Hop artist, festivals may be a no-go in many places across the globe, but Good.To.Go’s galvanizing energy is still as efficacious when delivered through your headphones.

He’s already found himself on the bill for ‘House of Vans Showcase’ at Vans Headquarters in Costa Mesa, Boogaloo ArtCar Music Festival, the Honeypot Unlimited Music Series, and the Punky Brewster Series. The commercial potential in their sound tells us that he definitely hasn’t finished dominating stages and the hearts of feisty Hip Hop fans.
