Sad Boy Hour shows his independence with ”Seeya!”

There comes a time when you just want to be left alone and be single. You are tired of being pushed around and want to do your own thing. You are in a rebellious frame of mind and nothing is going to change it. Are you willing to push your lover away for good or will they find a way to get through to you?

Sad Boy Hour is a brand new rapper-producer who has only started releasing music this year. For such a young artist he is very raw and it will be scary to see how good he is in a few years with more experience. The UK producer is in a crowded field and with so many quality artists he must be very inspired.

Seeya!” could be the runaway anthem of 2020. This is a song that means a lot to Sad Boy Hour. He believes that he is going to make it and feels it deep down in his soul. He wants it bad. This type of attitude is the only way to go in the music business. I like the beat and this man can sing and rap. With a Post Malone influence we need to pay attention to Sad Boy Hour. Happier times await.

Louisiana singer Rhonda Merrick is ready for the one in ”All the Way”

You just know when you are ready. You love the person and they love you back. Side by side you know you can be strong together and make each day special. It’s time.

All the Way” from Rhonda Merrick is a story of love and so perfectly explained. She is ready to settle down and sing. Her family is important to her and with these three passions, she is now happy. Coming from a music family has been a blessing and a curse. Rhonda is now moving above all doubts and the time is now here. After being close in 2011, the timing was off when she almost signed with Universal Music. Being a Mom meant so much more. 2020 has been a challenge but when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

I feel like Rhonda Merrick is starting to build up her confidence and she will make a huge impact from now on. She is a musician who has been waiting in the wings to fly. It’s your time Rhonda. Be free and do what you love.

Newcastle Rockers Indoor Kids leave no doubt to their brilliance with ”Down”

Ah yes. This is such a quality sound and they are going places. Indoor Kids have a powerful style with incredible production and the band executes the sound like no other.

Down” is just over 5 minutes and you can’t get enough. Newcastle natives Indoor Kids take us into the unknown with breath-taking precision and rock 2020 into shape with 80’s style music that is timelessly crafted for this lost generation. Get off your phone and turn this up until your speakers shake into shape.

The start of the song is a bit haunting and then we are told to settle down. The band are in control here and they are taking us into another world like Neo in The Matrix. They have built up for this moment and each member knows exactly what they need to do. This is the Champions League final and the boys are lining up for that Free Kick. My body shakes as I anticipate the next build and listen even closer. It’s not often that a band has me jamming like this. Always ready for the fight. This is an act that is breaking through to the very top and they are going to put on one heck of a show.

Taken off new album ”The Great Outdoors, Pt. 1”, ”Down” is a powerfully fused anthem and sits comfortably seated in the front row of majestic music releases from 2020.

”I Don’t Like You” from Space Pop leader Guy Bachelor, The Bachelorettes and Oliver Lee

I Don’t Like You” is a new single from Guy Bachelor’s latest album and is off ”Never See Me Again”.

This is a pop tingled daydream and it is so well sung. The message is kind of sad. This is all about hiding a romance from friends and keeping things very private. A very common theme these days which can’t be healthy but happens anyway. The beat is quite chilled and simple with some impressive features from The Bachelorettes and Oliver Lee.

This is a song that will be played on radio and at friends BBQ’s this summer as an escape for all the seriousness in the world currently. I like the well sung vocals on this one and the chorus is very catchy and mellow. A pleasant single to vibe with- ”I Don’t Like You” ticks all the right boxes and is perfect to dance to on a Sunday afternoon while outside in the garden.

Malene Markussen is here with enchanting anthem ”Some Kind of Rescue”

Malene Markussen is a fantastic Norwegian singer-songwriter based in Oslo, Norway. Her music is rooted in the pop-electronic sound style and is inspired by artists such as Sia, Røyskopp and The Midnight.

This song is all about staying strong no matter what. You might seem strong on the outside but inside things could be way different. It’s so important to see more that what meets the eye and to be sensitive to this. We all need to look after each other in this world no matter what our differences. A hug and a gentle conversation always helps when someone is down. We can all rescue someone if we care enough.

Some Kind of Rescue” is a stunning song from this stupendously talented performer. She sings with her heart on her sleeve and I feel like I’m in another world while listening to her so intently. The violin in this song top everything off and she is a special talent that is going to blossom globally.

Ontario singer-songwriter Hunter Sheridan releases memorable ”Fires Fade”

Life is a Dream” is the name of the debut album for Hunter Sheridan and this marks a shift for the talented artist. He was formally in Ontario band West Hammock who are currently on hiatus. ”Fires Fade” is the latest single from this new album and it’s a beautifully self-reflective song all about love and how sometimes that spark fades. You remember the good times but sometimes things don’t last.

In 2020, Hunter was nominated for two Oshawa Music Awards as Emerging Artist and Best Songwriter of the Year. This shows that he is definitely on the right track in his career and the buzz is starting to build. Major attention in the US is the next step and it’s easy to see why he is much acclaimed. His lyrics are real and sad at the same time on ”Fires Fade”. I’m drawn in and feel a sense of reflective while listening. You can tell that he is a music teacher as this song feels like a lesson and he has crafted this with care and precision.

Hunter Sheridan has a massive future with his strong voice, inspiration lyrics and quality production. With the world slowly opening up this singer-songwriter from the beautiful hills of Canada is singing into our sore hearts and making new fans each day.

Indie artist Bonsai Bison trims off the edges with ”No Respect”

Bonsai Bison is a musician and visual artist based in East London in the UK. ”No Respect” is the new release for the newcomer in the music scene and this is an enjoyable single.

This is all about getting that respect that you deserve and not settling for anything else. This is a vital way to go about things otherwise you can go crazy. Being manipulated and hearing lame stories all the time that you know aren’t true is no way to live. This is experimental electronic music and I haven’t heard any style like this before. The beat takes me to a strange place and I am reflective and feel like I am in a far away place. Quite a lonely place.

Bonsai Bison is creating a niche for herself and this East London artist doesn’t conform to any particular box which is refreshing to see. There are some creative sampling here and I like the home kind of feel. This is an artist keeping busy during these crazy times and getting better and better.

Ontario producer Pavalon sizzles with ”Nothing’s True”

In life, it’s so hard to work out what is real and what isn’t. When you meet someone that you like you don’t want to give away too much. Being a bit mysterious is always a good way to go.

His home town is King City, Ontario in Canada. Marco-Attilio Ventresca-Clarino aka Pavalon is a new producer in the game and wow does he make good music. The beat flows in with a subtle intro at the start and we are fooled into thinking this is a folk singer-songwriter. Pavalon has different ideas and the beat soon reflects an electronic-pop summer hit for the ages. The vocals are so nicely done and I love the sax that just adds that sprinkle of lust that we needed. This is a good song and is all about not telling that future lover too much. A trap that a lot of us fall into. Giving the keys to our heart too fast gives off the wrong energy.

If this is the standard to come from this Canadian producer then we are witnessing a new star in the making. ”Nothing’s True” is a quality track.

Jeroen Bloeming releases electro-pop inspired new single ”Sky on Fire”

Inspired by his best friend Babette, Jeroen Bloeming is on a mission in 2020. What is that goal? Making beautiful music together with his close friend and make incredible memories. This is what he wants. You can hear it in his voice and feel it in the music. This hunger is there and he wants this real bad.

Jeroen Bloeming takes us on a flight up into the skies with this exciting electro-pop soundtrack. The pain in his voice is very apparent from the way he expresses himself. ”Sky on Fire” feels like he is speaking to his first love. A woman that he cares very deeply about but perhaps the timing is not quite there at this precise moment in time. This is a promising artist who seems to improve all time. I’m excited to see and hear more music as he is only scratching the surface on what he can deliver. With the new album on the way, this is a pure time and this will be a much-awaiting release later on this year.

Detroit Emcee Ebgbev drops deep debut ”Numb to the Pain” in memory of his late father

You feel the pain deep in your heart and all you want is for it to go away. You can’t make it go away so you drown it out and soon everything feels all numb. You sink in a hole and you think you are never going to come out. You miss that loved one. Will you be strong for them. Or will you sink in the quicksand and never reach your goals in memory of the one you lost?

I haven’t been feeling too much new Hip Hop lately. As a 90’s Hip Hop fan I miss the old school beat and the storytelling. When I turned on Ebgbev’s Numb to the Pain” for the first time I experienced a feeling I hadn’t for so long. This new track has a real story.

Ebgbev unfortunately just lost his father due to to horrible coronavirus pandemic that has changed the way the world works. This is a terrible loss and we extend our condolences to Ebgbev and his family.

After losing my own father back in 2001 I got emotional after listening to this song. The pain eases sometimes but it never really goes away. Ever. You always want that one more moment to ask the old man a question. All you can do is remember the good times and cherish his memory.

This new Hip Hop track is well executed and the beat captures the moment to perfection. It’s piano background adds to the picture that he has created for us. This is new school Hip Hop with a new school feel. I like the lyricism and I’ll be keeping an eye out for more releases from Ebgbev as we all should.

Detroit in Michigan has a new emcee to embrace. With his Pops looking out for him up above, the sky is the limit.
