Indie Folk vibes with Jeff Jepson’s ‘On Repeat’

Isle of Man based singer Jeff Jepson reminisces about love on his brand new single called ‘On Repeat‘.

Jeff Jepson is a prolific singer-songwriter who was born in music city Liverpool. Now recording & performing in the Isle of Man and beyond to a loyal and attentive following, he has been a mainstay of the thriving Liverpool acoustic scene, having supported artists as diverse as Martin Carthy, Slow Club and the Fratellis.

An artist with a voice of gold that makes each day better. This is a fine singer-songwriter that sings from the soul with his real lyrics and passionate vocals that are a pleasure to listen to.

‘On Repeat‘ is a fine song from the talented singer-songwriter that has a strong voice and who tells real stories. The passion in his voice tells you the story of this artist that loves to be on stage. Also a producer, there is nothing Jeff can’t do in the music scene. I love his honesty and the music makes you feel calm. Just what 2020 needs.

Digital Dan rides through to see if the ladies follow through on ‘Baguettes In The Mouth’

The mysteriously brilliant artist Digital Dan aka Danny Digital aka Don Danny slides in with the stylishly smooth Hip Hop single ‘Baguettes In The Mouth‘.

After 3 years in the game, this is one of his best songs yet. Featuring a raw start, getting out there that lots of people like to talk but can they back it up? Talk is cheap and you wonder if what you are saying now will follow through later on in life, or never.

Digital Dan breaks this song into two and I like the way he starts off with the build up and sees what happens at the end. He definitely got his answer it feels like. Some people go quiet and others stepped up to back their talk.

It feels like Dan knows what he wants and ‘Baguettes In The Mouth‘ is a quality Hip Hop track from the artist who seems like is getting better and better. Perspective and self-awareness has propelled him to make music that is real.

Zak Lyon speaks about a destructive relationship on indie-folk ‘Nothing Changes’

‘Nothing Changes’ from Zak Lyon is a sad indie-folk song about how relationships can get out of hand sometimes.

Zak Lyon from Glasgow is back and this is quite an interesting story. This is the story about how things can get physical even though you don’t want things to. You blame yourself in the end and things will never ever be the same again. The relationship will be scarred forever sadly.

‘Nothing Changes’ from Zak Lyon strums through with his passionate vocals and a guitar style that is very unique. The Glasgow singer-songwriter is a quality singer and speaks on a subject that is often taboo. He sings with such power and you can feel the pain in his voice. This is a soulful song that is very sad and I feel rather down after hearing this. Sometimes things never change and it’s up to us to deal with it and make changes where we can. In the end we are in control.

Young Nutter aka Honey Jack $hawty hails from Carson in Los Angeles, California. He rips the script for his new track ‘Talk Is Cheap‘.

This is a new music video that reflects how life is right now for this talented young rapper. His flow is mellow but real and the beat is quite moody. The dark undertones shows us how Young Nutter is dealing with life. He is spending a lot of time alone but is still being very creative and loves Hip Hop.

‘Talk Is Cheap‘ from Young Nutter is all about how some people like to talk nonsense and act all fake. This is a rapper that is really living life and is determined to make it big no matter what the odds stacked up. He makes real Hip Hop and I love the real life video which shows us the inside of this artists mind.

The Fabulous Red Diesel add some stunning jazz to our lives on ‘Mama Josie Said – The Queensbury House Session’

The Fabulous Red Diesel return with a jazz-filled gem with ‘Mama Josie Said – The Queensbury House Session‘.

The Fabulous Red Diesel are all about original off the wall jazz-fusion, funky mayhem, flute and sparkly tuba soul. This style of music is such a fine way to get over 2020 due to the authenticity that the band shows. You don’t get too many bands like this anymore. The whole band seems perfectly in sync and play with such joy and happiness. After starting to play together in Hastings in 2006, this eclectic gaggle of musical inventors have been creating their own brand of jazz and acoustic soul that lights up the stage and our hearts. This is fine music that can be enjoyed by all humans- young and old.

This is a conversation between the amazing singer Mama Josie & the band. This happened while they were working some harmonies out at the rehearsal space in Queensbury House.

The Fabulous Red Diesel are a fine jazz band with lots of offer as they cruise in with a stunning song called ‘Mama Josie Said – The Queensbury House Session‘. I love this song and this has calmed down my heart in this wold full of madness.

Australia’s Gordon Holland sings for the colder months on ‘I’m Looking Forward To Winter’

Gordon Holland is back with the soulful ‘I’m Looking Forward To Winter‘ and this is such a gem to the tired ears.

Australian singer-songwriter Gordon Holland has been making waves all over the Melbourne’s music scene and is on top form here. Following his relocation from Perth and bringing with him his musical partner, the pair formed The Naysayers in 2010 and soon took their garage rock to live stages around Australia.

While still writing and working within The Naysayers, Gordon found himself on a solo path which saw him merging his musical creativity into waters that had previously been uncharted. Soon after, he collaborated with fellow singer-songwriter Charlie Lane where the two constructed her successful The Darkest Time.

Following on from such successes, Gordon has been sailing the seas between his Takamine acoustic and Fender Jaguar in a way that enables his music to flow through lyrics that are confessional and nostalgic yet humorous and wistful.

‘I’m Looking Forward To Winter‘ from Gordon Holland is an ode to the colder months where you can cuddle with your loved one. You smile when you think of all the hot chocolate and blankets. Perhaps your cat is close by and you can watch movies together and hide away for a while. All you want to do is snuggle close and get away from the world. The soft singer-songwriter vibes are so pleasant and I love the true stories here. This is a quality track for 2020.

London-based singer Israel Nke is magnificent on ‘Moonlight’ ft Shakira

Nigerian-born singer Israel Nke is here with a fantastic Hop Hop soul single called ‘Moonlight‘ ft Shakira.

‘Moonlight‘ is about the pain of a loss, the depth of a split-second decision and the lasting effects. With beautiful piano sounds illuminating with some noises of the street, we are soon underway. From there there beat turns to reflective Hip Hop and mellow rap vocals that gets you in the mood.

After leaving his polygamous father in Nigeria, to a life on the streets and a term in prison, this all led to his eventual redemption as a singer-songwriter. This is the debut single is ‘Moonlight‘, a song that speaks about how a split-second can change everything.

London-based Israel Nke has found his way after a life that was close to the bottom. He has emerged from the onslaught and is happy inside. He is happy as he is making great music and spreading his message of never giving up despite the odds. A comeback is always something to support if the intentions are pure. ‘Moonlight‘ ft Shakira is a fine track that lights up 2020’s peace flag.

South Carolina’s Brett Weller sings to summer days on ‘Carolina Sun’

Former New Orleans native, singer-songwriter Brett Weller sends us a summer anthem here with his brand new indie rock fused ‘Carolina Sun‘.

Set for release on 27th August, this is a riveting indie rock reflection into the sun. The solos are fantastic and get the pulse rising just like you want it to. This is a soul message that leaves you feeling you are out on the road, looking for that perfect sunset. This sultry sun-soaked song simmers in the BBQ as you reflect on life’s adventures.

After moving his family to South Carolina in 2020, indie-rocker Brett Weller soon felt the effects of quarantine and the impact it has had on the whole event industry. Despite the challenges of navigating a new season of life during a pandemic, the singer-songwriter is riding a fresh wave of music inspiration that has been bubbling in his veins. Brett has begun working with Atlanta based producer, Matt Jackson, making a mesh of electronic rock and synth pop vibes.

Mixed and mastered by Grammy Award winner, Darrell Thorp, the debut single ‘Carolina Sun‘, this is the song from Brett Weller we have all been waiting for. With a road-trip theme tune, we can all enjoy summer days with this on loud.

London singer Max RM’s ‘Little Bird’ is a fantastic self-reflective indie journey

Max RM is back with his latest song and this is such a peaceful listen called ‘Little Bird‘.

This is the London singer’s 2nd single following up from this debut called ‘Wayside‘. A new name on the scene, this new song shows maturity and the guitar rhythm puts me into a mellow zone. It’s time to fly and leave sometimes, just like a little bird. You just know when it’s time to leave and fly to a new journey in your life. Sometimes you can take that love for granted and mess it all up.

I love the chilled energy here and we are taken into a story of love and regret. However, we can’t get a happy ending in life. You think about the person all the time and wish you could of done things differently. Sadly, this was not to be.

Max RM from London is a new talent who has brought out a super indie-folk single here and the UK artist has our attention.

Caverns creates beauty with her boyfriend on ‘Moonlight’

Los Angeles artist Caverns is here with her new song called ‘Moonlight‘.

This song is a collab with her boyfriend that was made during quarantine. It was inspired by some daydreams of dancing in the forest with our friends. It’s a very unique, uplifting dance track that the world needs right now and I love the vibe here.

With the drums, sounds of crickets and wolves in the background, I have a really good feeling about this song. The style is so mellow and is of trying to find peace during this crazy time in the world. I feel at ease here, my stresses are very mild as I use this song during mediation. Everything seems so calm now.

‘Moonlight‘ from LA artist Caverns and her boyfriend is an uplifting experience and I love this indie-dance song that puts a smile on all of our faces. Just the way it was intended.
