Dances In The Spotlight: Groovy Nashville band Tear Ducks return after heartbreak with that glowing ‘Shine’

After a few unforeseen delays and waiting longer than they expected for their ten-track album ‘Another Late Night‘ to drop, Tear Ducks wipe away the tears as they move on swiftly from someone who wasn’t worth it on ‘Shine‘.

Tear Ducks is a happy-go-lucky Nashville, Tennessee-based indie soft-rock band with a real soulful vibration. They make that introspective type of vibe that has you rather thoughtful and also feeling warm inside from their welcoming style.

After a series of graduations, breakups, and job moves, former bandmates of several projects return to their suburban Nashville hometown after an 8 year hiatus of playing together.” – Tear Ducks

The vocals here are super chilled and kind of reminds you of Dr Dog back in the day, with an authentic sound that is never too rushed, and always honest to the core bone. You feel a sense of reflection here as you remember when you met someone who thought that they were too good for you – and moved on to their dream human – whilst leaving you with a sour taste in your mouth. However, you were happy that it happened, as then you could move onto greener pastures.

Shine‘ from the super mellow and meant-to-be-jamming-together Nashville-based indie soft-rock band Tear Ducks, shows us into a true story that has you wishing that they would take a chance on you, but don’t seem to want to. Sometimes you think that you should be with a soul that seems to be the right person at first, when actually you two couldn’t be more different in reality.

UK Blues Rock band ‘Near Earth Objects’ return with galaxy-stretching ‘’Run For The City’’ single

Never said I was ready to leave you, be a while but the City won’t keep me from you.

Near Earth Objects’ aka NEO are a South Cumbria-based band with a variety of genres in their blood. It’s old-school bluesy/Rock with a new school modern folk feel-good-energy going on in the speakers. A very tight band with years of experience playing together, you can feel the harmony and love for the music when you turn them up loud.

‘’Run For The City’’ is all about just going for it, leaving good things and memories behind in order to do what you feel is right and really desire. Believing in your soul is the main thing to do in life, taking a chance and heading upstate to start something fresh and new. With incredible solo guitar riffs and groovy bass lines, ‘’Run For The City’’ is a memorable song with all the right ingredients.

In 2015, Lead Singer Grant Huck was sadly diagnosed with an immutable nervous system disease that has left him suffering chronic pain and muscle weakness. As a result, he is unable to continue playing live at gigs. However, the band rallied together and decided to continue to work together as a unique recording band.

A fine thing to do indeed as most bands would have packed it up and moved on elsewhere. The love of music and not wanting to play with anyone else lives on strong with faithful NEO, showing old school values to inspire us all.

Handmade, Amigo Proves It’s Better to DIY

There aren’t many tracks that can get me to proclaim feelings of love before the chorus even begins. But Handmade Amigo’s second debut single “Let it Roll, Or the Whale” hit the spot like no other musical collective have before. The Psychedelic Soft Indie Rock & Roll Jam is a carnality of uplifting pleasures that reminded me of the sweet melodies of bands such as Dinosaur Jr.

They teased the introduction with a lullaby of sonorous sound before crashing into the verse with a raucous ensemble of percussion headed by a bass soaked atmospheric beat. Attempting to deconstruct this track is ion impossible. The complexities and melodies fuse themselves so tightly together, it’s just best to sit back, relax and enjoy the cacophony on offer from The Orlando, Florida based quartet.

The Handmade Amigo’s switch from rattling guitar riffs with an adequate pinch of moody reverberations straight through to piano sweeps to reincarnate the song through every second of the 04:26 duration.

Judging by the innocently charming music video, they’ve got a long way to come in the industry, but I’m most definitely sold on what they have to offer.
