After previously releasing an EP under a different stage name, Jaarna cruises to exactly the place she has been envisioning forever on the lovely new single Bike Ride.

Jaarna is a Toulouse, France-based indie pop singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has been writing for over 14 years.

Sung with so much honesty and a sweet vocal experience, this is a rather special song which will clear all eyes and get us back into the right mindset again.

House of Asha broke through silence and stigma with her debut dream-pop single, Talk About It

With her diaphanous debut single, Talk About It, the alternative singer-songwriter, House of Asha, broke the silence and stigma which often stifles the conversation around mental health in South Asian communities.

It is one thing to be candid when there will be no negative consequence or connotation, it is quite another to defy culture to break the cycle of generational trauma. The mellifluous dream-pop synthetics are a sublime pairing for the harmonically poised bleeding vocals, which effortlessly coalesce with the shoegazey dream-pop layers that will leave your rhythmic pulses on a plateau while the lyricality leaves you grounded.

Talk About It is the first single to release from House of Asha’s debut LP; it set the bar for what is to come, although, our faith is well-placed in the elevated grace of the songstress who scores her melancholically demure tracks around influences from the likes of Imogen Heap, Billie Eilish, Hozier and Young the Giant.

Daniel de Boer is a Dutch indie pop singer-songwriter and bassist who was deep within the freelance world before deciding to fly further than first imagined and has started his own project by first studying at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain.

Lost in Wescott’s Music

I recently came across two versions of the song “Lost” by the talented musician and award-winning songwriter, Matt Wescott. One was a studio version, and the other was a live performance at White Noise Studios. And if given the option, I will always choose a live performance.

The song itself is a toe-tapping blues-country riff-driven ballad, and Wescott’s voice is a pleasing gentle baritone that adds a layer of emotion to the lyrics. The song’s melody is catchy and will have you humming along in no time.

It’s not surprising to learn that Wescott has worked with some big names in the music industry, including Portishead, Alabama 3, Razorlight, Dodgy, Newton Faulkner & Fionn Regan. And he has played some of the best venues in Bristol, Bath, London, and beyond.

But it’s not just his impressive resume that sets him apart. Wescott’s latest EP, “Echoes Around The Sun,” released in 2023, showcases his incredible talent as a songwriter and musician. And the lead single, “Lost,” co-written with Aimee Proal, is an excellent representation of the EP’s quality.
