To Myself: The Lonely People knows what the mission is on No One Else

Dropped in 2020 amid so much uncertainty and fear, The Lonely People light up our emotions and blaze a web of intrigue through heightened feelings and speaker-soaring awesomeness on No One Else.

The Lonely People is a Southern California-based indie alternative electronic/psychedelic rock/shoegaze/hip hop fused outfit.

The Lonely People have begun building a community of like minded people who value being themselves but not always being social accepted by the crowd usually causing them to be isolated or alone. The band makes it their mission to make sure people know that they are with them and they understand and because theres so many like them out there we are all in this together.” ~ The Lonely People outlining their vision for this incredibly meaningful project

Making music to heal us all from all the worries that can plague our souls when things get a bit too much, The Lonely People are in divine form and might thrill the power socket of anyone who just wants to plug out from the world.

No One Else from the multi-genre Southern California act The Lonely People is a creatively stirring performance that James Bond would be proud to play from his gadget-filled car. Laden with a pulsating beat that will get your blood flow dripping properly, we find ourselves in a nostalgic glow with a dreamy style to take your mind away for a few minutes.

When you’re wrapped into a spell, it’s best to see where it leads.

Robert Jameson delivered cosmic pop catharsis in his latest single, Stay Awhile

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTtuBbBRp0E

Taken from his first full-length album, Robert Jameson’s seminal dream pop single, Stay Awhile, is sure to appease any fans of My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive. But this colourful burst of sonic bliss, which comes with psychedelic hints of The Zombies, takes a slightly jazzier trip back to the alt-90s.

The signature bleeding vocals are there, but the cosmic pop factor is heightened in the complex time signatures of the warm synths and jazzy piano keys. His composition skills that allow the layers to envelop you in all of their kaleidoscopic magnetism certainly make it easy to Stay Awhile. Rarely do I hear a lead single and feel inclined to indulge in the album from a previously unknown artist, but Robert Jameson’s affable innovation makes it all too tempting.

Stay Awhile was officially released on September 21st. Check out the visualiser on YouTube.

Kablamo traverses the otherworldly in their post-punk-y indie release, Unnatural

Kablamo self-proclaims their debut self-titled EP to be personal, genuine and, at times, indulgent; I can fully attest to the indulgence being universal once you slip into the seminal single, Unnatural.

Unnatural unravels through dreamy guitar melodies, glassy synths and ragged post-punk basslines beneath the dream pop vocals which mellifluously breeze through the sentimentally heartfelt release, which all too readily imparts the emotion. An evocative response to the kaleidoscopic colour of Unnatural is non-optional.

Any fans of Deerhunter, Beach House, Tame Impala and Wild Nothing will undoubtedly want to sink their teeth into this paradoxically ambiently striking release.

The debut self-titled EP hit the airwaves on September 9th. You can hear it for yourselves by heading over to Spotify.

newmath traverses loss in the noisy dream pop discord of his latest single, Without You

As someone who will always hold a candle for the shoegaze pioneers, I will eternally be enthralled by 21st-century experimental iterations of the genre. newmath, the creative project of Chris Fish, certainly didn’t disappoint with the noisy dream pop discord in his latest single, Without You.

The lo-fi to the core production goes heavy on the sludgy effects – being from Seattle, it would be rude not to – but Without You is far more in Grandaddy’s arena rather than your definitive Seattle sound icons. The shimmeringly bright vulnerability of the release is incandescently sweet. Without you may be a song of mourning, but notably, no love has been lost.

With his forthcoming album, BLOOM, due for release on September 9th, save a spot on your radar.

The official music video for Without You premiered on August 29th. Check it out on YouTube.

London’s Lemonade Sin defied gravity with their elevated dream pop single, Melanie Nods

Melanie Nods by Lemonade Sin

Following the saturated-in-tape-delay indie dream pop intro, Lemonade Sin’s latest single, Melanie Nods, unfolds as a transcendentally playful aural crumble of the definitive UK sounds from the 80s to the 00s. The hazy shoegaze textures, chilling nods to post-punk and the Manic Street Preaches-Esque riffs in the middle eight pull together to form a sonic trajectory that you will want to follow time and time again.

With vocal reminiscences to Joy Division’s Atmosphere and the Human League’s Mirror Man happening simultaneously, Lemonade Sin is for every 80s fan out there looking for artists innovative enough to pull new aesthetics out of the synths, unmistakable percussion, and vocal layering.

Melanie Nods is now available to stream and purchase on Bandcamp.

Fleeting artfully revived the alt-90s take on dream pop with his latest single, Enso

The angular indie ambience in the latest single, Enso, from the Philadelphian bedroom producer Fleeting is something for every alt-90s fan to get excited about.

Beyond the Gorillaz and Radiohead influences are the hazy textures of dream pop and Slowdive-Esque shoegaze guitars spliced with the trippy discord of the downtempo artfully placed breakbeats that keep you centred in the mostly instrumental mix. For even more catharsis, turn to the other 24 artfully orchestrated hits in his 2022 self-titled album. We know we will. Repeatedly.

Enso is now available to stream on Spotify.

With a reverb-soaked experience to listen intently to as we curiously contemplate our current uncertain path in this bloodbath-saturated world, Palm Trees In Moscow returns with an ear-soothing new single that shall get you thinking profoundly with, ‘Drunk At The Airport‘.

Created by Chris Frantz, Palm Trees In Moscow is a Baltimore, Maryland alternative rock outfit that makes an anthem-sounding blend of harmony-packed awesomeness to be uplifted by.
