With every progression, you’re eager to experience the next succinct evolution in the downtempo soundscape which almost shimmers with the warm and vibrant tones. Discernibly, Arijjazmine didn’t hold back when penning the lyrics to Apply the Pressure, there’s a rare depth to the lyricism which tackles the age-old frustration of wanting to know where you stand.

John MF Ward has made their debut with the smoothly sensuous RnB hit “Make It Right” featuring Exzac Change

With melodies made for melting into, sensuous crooning and strikingly contemporary lyricism, it’s safe to say that John MF Ward has made an ever-lasting impression on the airwaves with their single Make It Right.

There may be one or two elements of old school Soul. But the up and coming artist was able to lay his soul on the line while painting a stark portrait of 21st-century dating without over-romanticising it.

To add to the dynamism of Make It Right, John MF Ward borrowed the magnetic vocal prowess from Rap artist Exzac Change who lay down cutting bars over his smooth amorous harmonics. The collaborative chemistry is as potent as it comes with Make It Right.

We certainly don’t come across tracks as captivating as Make it Right every day. Or as authentic. We’d strongly suggest putting John MF Ward on your radar.

Trevor Quest has dropped their sultry dancefloor hit “Shake It” prod. Cratez

Up and coming RnB artist Trevor Quest dropped their sensually soulful EP “Mix Emotions” on June 28th. While each of the Hip Hop-infused hits provides a potent hit of salaciousness, the best introduction to the authentic artist’s contemporary style is “Shake It”.

With renowned producer Cratez in charge of polishing the mix, it was never going to fall flat. Instead, the light and intricate beats ooze earworm potential, there’s no reason why Shake It couldn’t become a charting summer RnB hit. It’s the perfect anthem for hedonistic summer nights.

Hourigan has released their optimism-invoking Indie RnB Folk Single “Fly Your Kite”

The word ‘arrestive’ may get thrown around a lot in reviews, but in the case of Hourigan’s Indie RnB Folk single “Fly Your Kite”, it’s more than justified.

The unfiltered soul which Hourigan projected into the Indie RnB mix has a way of crawling under your ribs as you drink in the organic accordant ecstasy in the sublimely serene soundscape.

If you could imagine what it would sound like if Jack Johnson, Hozier and Cosmo Sheldrake all collaborated on a single, you’d get an idea of how mesmerizingly transcendent Fly Your Kite is.

Lyrically, Fly Your Kite is a poignant message to the younger generations facing overwhelming levels of uncertainty. It’s a gentle optimism-invoking invitation to keep on going and to see past the crushing illusion society attempts to sell us.

London Singer Songwriter Yazmine MB has released her Chillingly Soulful single “I Do”

London-based Neo-Soul artist Yazmine MB released her tension-stripping, soul-baring single “I Do” on May 24th. If it’s been a while since an up and coming artist has given you chills, prepare for the prickling evocative intensity in I Do.

Yazmine MB’s voice will leave you searching for the right adjectives even though none seem to be able to accurately capture her harrowingly ethereal harmonies which perplexingly ultimately resonates as soothing. The poised and minimalistic Neo-Soul instrumentals share the same alchemic propensities to leave you spellbound whilst simultaneously leaving your soul full.

In a feat of lyrical ingenuity, Yazmine MB used the age-old declaration of commitment “I do” in a sublimely resonant homage to the act of giving in. The added poetic twist is the icing on this raw and intimate cake which will stay with you long after it has faded out.

RnB Soul Artist Marquarius Has Made Their Debut with the Sensuously Smooth Slow Jam “Can’t Stay”

RnB Soul artist Marquarius has made their debut with the sensually rhythmic downtempo perennial earworm “Can’t Stay”.

With the intricately immersive melodies, polished production, and amount of soul which has been poured into the mix through Marquarius’ vocals, you’ll be hooked in this sticky-sweet slow jam before the first verse has finished.

The duration of Can’t Stay may be criminally short, but the track is the perfect introduction to the up and coming artist’s sound. We’ll definitely be placing them on our radar. Their contemporary take on RnB may be roots-deep. But there’s an unparalleled stylistically magnetic element to Marquarius’s approach to production.

Put Your Self-Worth in Check with Jaonere’s Standout RnB Soul Single “Hopeless”

For a track with such a pessimistic title, Jaonere’s single Hopeless serves up some seriously accordant soul.

The melodically mellow RnB Soul single invites you to slip into the artist’s introspection surrounding their self-worth. And it may inspire you to pontificate on your own. But don’t worry, there’s very little chance of slipping into an existential hole as you listen to the deeply romantic single unfold.

The magnetic grip of the vocal melodies in Hopeless isn’t something that we come across all too often. Neither is the sincerity in the vocal delivery. The London-based singer-songwriter may deliver soulful retro vibes through his music, but you’ll only need to hit play on Hopeless to affirm just how much commercial potential lingers in his sound.

You can check out Jaonere’s single Hopeless along with the rest of his 2020 album All We Have Is Now via Spotify.
