Jibba James – Forced Conversations: The Ultimate Taste of Indie Revelry

Jibba James new track Forced Conversations, In a nutshell is subsequently disappointing if you’re looking for polished and authentic indie ensemble, however if you’re looking for something raw, natural and rhythmic you’re in for a treat.

The sound is as minimalist as it comes. Just one man and his guitar taking you on a journey through his own plaintive pain and misery. In a way it’s rare to hear someone so unadulterated as Jibba James, however, there isn’t much that sets the acoustic singer song writer apart from the other acoustic indie musicians that are filling up the soundwaves.

It sounds like every other track that you would hear as you walk down the high street in whatever city you’re from, it’s not that I want to detract from the talent that is on display in his latest track Forced Conversations, but I feel as though it’s not enough to really invoke any sense of feeling through the soundwaves if you listen to this track at home.  Grandiosity certainly isn’t his style as he allows his tracks to progress with angst, revelry and sonorous acoustic effects.

If you’re a fan of minimalist indie, head on over to YouTube to listen to his latest track now!

KTWG Releases Intimate Poetic Song “Jaded Seaguls Singalong”

Jaded Seaguls Singalong - folk version by KTWG

KTWG is an artist from Paris with a sound that cannot be strictly categorised or labeled. His music, particularly the song “Jaded Seaguls Singalong,” has a strong Folk element with poetic lyrics and a guitar accompaniment, but it also presents a strong sense of individual creativity in the way the voice is used to create effects towards the end of the song. The music carries a sensitivity in its character that brings out a strong human aspect even through sets of cryptic lyrics. The strong accent which comes through as the lyrics unfold also adds an even more naturally raw human element to the whole song.

“jaded Seagulls Singalong” starts off immediately with an image evoking verse that transports the listener directly to the story which, although carrying a sense of melancholy, manages to bring out even more the effects of strong human emotions. Some of the phrases can sometimes be more abstract that others and this element of mysteriousness makes the song even more intriguing. The instrumental backdrop is kept calm and smooth-flowing throughout and as the song reaches its ending, the vocal phrases turn into juxtaposed melodies that add the the melancholic naturally human sensation that the song creates. KTWG definitely has an imitable sound that stands out and this personal touch is what makes his music so unique.

A&R Factory Present: Luke De-Sciscio

Home movies show him at three years old singing ‘boo-boo-bah-loo’ over Louis Armstrong records under the nurturing watch of his grandfather, John.

Himself, a music junkie and keen guitarist, it was to emulate John and follow in those loving steps that Luke De-Sciscio took to music and hungered to learn guitar. Those early years, playing the blues with his grandfather, sank their teeth deep into Luke’s soul. The seed was sewn.

He had dabbled in bands throughout school; exploring Funk, Rock and Blues though it wasn’t until spending several years living on a boat in the English countryside that he began to find his own voice – stripped back, unguarded and delicate.

Debut LP “Gossamer Rose” was recorded live over the course of one evening with a few good friends over a few bad beers – its raw honesty invites the listener into that night to share in the stories told.

Universally personal and cutting with truth, ‘Gossamer Rose’ has been praised for its intricate guitar work and described as “a haunting example of the beauty of the folk genre.”
