Rap Producer

7ELIX found a new depth in intimacy with his emo rap vignette,  ‘CALLMEWHENYOUGETBACK’

CALLMEWHENYOUGETBACK taken from 7ELIX’s seminal LP, emergency exit, pt.3: death of a memory, is the perfect introduction to the Asheville, NC-born artist’s music which is offered as a salve for the outcasted soul.

The songwriter, producer and audio engineer created the ultimate testament to his motivation to advocate for mental health and suicide awareness by orchestrating this confessionally evocative emo-rap vignette of vulnerability. By illustrating the power of candid expression and giving an outlet for jagged emotions that become scars if they’re harboured for too long, he gave a lesson in catharsis in CALLMEWHENYOUGETBACK.

The light production work on the intricately melodic track ensures that none of the visceral sincerity from the recording was stripped away. Painted in nocturnal light that depicts the intimacy of late-night thoughts cascading into vocalisation, CALLMEWHENYOUGETBACK captures 7ELIX at his most uninhibited as he attempts to hold onto a relationship that is precariously hanging in the balance despite his tight grip on the affections that bring warmth to the bittersweet release.

It’s a heart-wrenchingly authentic release which is a clear sign of even bigger things to come from 7ELIX. We can’t wait to hear what’s lingering in the prodigy’s timeline.

CALLMEWHENYOUGETBACK is available to stream on Spotify.

Jah-Sun Collier futuristically reconfigured old-school boom bap in his latest single, RICH THOUGHTZ!

A blast of retro boom bap hit the airwaves when the latest satirically sharp rap track, RICH THOUGHTZ!, dropped as a courtesy of the ultimate urban antagonist, Jah-Sun Collier, who is also well-known as a popular YouTuber, actor, and video editor.

By futuristically reconfiguring the retro tones and adding a further lyrical trajectory to the evolution of hip-hop, the US rapper and record producer did far more than revisit vintage sounds with his tongue-in-cheek track that points out how contrived society has become through its obsession with capitalist gains.

He set the resilience to mercenary vanity bar transcendently high with the introspection-rich hit that proves that being rich in any real sense has no correlation to numbers on a screen, the brand names on your clothes or the car you drive.

RICH THOUGHTZ was officially released on September 1st. Stream it on YouTube.

Enrichment put his name on the New Jersey hip-hop map with Play to Win ft Termanology & Chris Rivers

Different by Enrichment

For his latest single, Play to Win, the New Jersey flow king and producer, Enrichment, collaborated with the two trailblazers, Termanology and Chris Rivers, to create the grittiest hip-hop drop of the summer.

Enrichment’s killer cadence flows over the Eastern rhythms in the production that punches with East Coast flavour. Any fans of Blackalicious’ innovative take on contemporary hip hop will want to make a playlist staple of the lyrically sharp hit. The complex and multisyllabic rhymes will leave you on the rap hooks which sink their teeth so that the introspection in this no-mercy exposition of what it takes to strive for greatness is mainlined into your veins.

When Enrichment isn’t crafting his own tracks, he’s in the studio working with Kuniva (D12), Omar Ray, and Nino Man. Competition may be tough in the dog eat dog industry in 2023, but clearly, he’s got the strongest bite.

Play to Win was officially released on June 9th; stream it on Bandcamp.
