White Lake-based EDM artist Zephyr drops a rip-roaring single about finding your place on ‘I.R.D.K’

Featuring a breathtaking beat that thunders briskly into your mind with such a devastatingly entertaining aplomb, Zephyr seeks that enlightening path that will set the mind free from confusion on ‘I.R.D.K‘.

Josiah Johnston-Hicks aka Zephyr is a 17-year-old White Lake, USA-based EDM producer who loves to fuse in the swirling sounds of Future Bass, House, and Dubstep.

There is eerie energy wrapped all over this hot new single from a mental standpoint that so many of us have faced recently. With an overload of information and too many ways to turn, Zephyr illustrates this vital point to a wondrous effect to get your body moving and your mind thinking extra deep. He seems to totally get the situation that the world is in – and slams the bass down hard to get us dancing again – as he helps the soul revitalize and feel so in tune with the core of the earth again.

I.R.D.K‘ from White Lake, USA-based EDM producer Zephyr, is the type of track that will really make you think about where you actually fit in this rather strange world filled with sketchy alleyways and risky paths that can make you dizzy. Sung with a beautiful tone and featuring a gloriously compact beat that has the windows shuddering and the pesky neighbours startled, this is an absolute revelation of a release from a young artist who has the world at his feet.

Between the massive beats, hypnotic vocal harmonies, tension-filled breaks and exotic eastern strings, few tracks will take you higher.

Current shows us the meaning of conviction in his latest alt-hip hop single Under Pressure featuring STBtheDon

For his latest emotional firestorm of a release, Under Pressure, the breaking rapper, singer, producer and DJ, Current teamed up with the equally as luminary artist, STBtheDon. The Birmingham, Alabama-born, Kansas City-based artist has spent the last eight years fine-tuning his authentic sonic signature that includes elements of Lo-Fi, hip hop, electronica and RnB – and it certainly shows in Under Pressure.

For new fans, Under Pressure, is the perfect introduction to Current’s experimental production style. The track explores the pressure we feel from people’s expectations. The conviction in the track is the ultimate proof that pressure is even harder to bear when the expectation is for us to fail. For anyone who knows how exhausting yet vindicating it is to succeed despite condescending cynicism, there’s almost an infinite amount of resonance. Lyrically, each verse hits harder than the last. By the outro, you won’t fail to be blown away by the full-frontal emotion.

Under Pressure was released on January 21st, 2022; you can check it out for yourselves by heading over to Spotify.

John Wilson composed disarming etherealism with his upcoming soundscape, Echoes.

John Wilson

The UK multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, songwriter, artist, poet, author, tutor and CEO of Consciousness Productions Ltd, John Wilson, has given us a sneak preview of the etherealism that is to come in his upcoming 5-track EP by teasing us with ‘Echoes’.

The reverb-laden composition is a crystal-clear reflection of the artist’s influences that stretch far beyond music genres. For his eery yet consoling all the same soundscape, he found inspiration in spirituality, science, world culture, literature and videogames to deliver a phantasmally cathartic release. Echoes is simultaneously everything it says on the tin and so much more.

Agaaze proves that pace is the trick in his electro-pop-meets-neo-psych single, Take it Slow

The New York-hailing multi-instrumentalist and producer Agaaze is fresh from the release of this debut 7-track EP, A Portal Inside, which features the eclectically progressive, Take it Slow.

Take it Slow was curated to prove that when it comes to progress, pace is the trick. The progressive single starts with the downtempo, dreamy textures you would expect from a track under such a name. By the time Take it Slow reaches the outro, expect to find yourself in a trippy, psychedelic rabbit hole that is structured by Agaaze’s soulfully sweet magnetism and the sheer range of his experimentalism. At the age of just 19 years old, his songwriting talent transcends the majority.

The world will never see another David Bowie for the simple reason that they’d rather place icons on pedestals and believe independent artists can never reach them. As far as we’re concerned, Agaaze came pretty damn close with Take it Slow.

Ziyaad Luceō takes us through a ‘Moment in Time’ in his latest cinematic aural triumph

Remember when we anticipated all of the incredible art that would transpire through creative minds being locked away and forced to reflect? The breakthrough artist, Ziyaad Luceō, delivered exactly what we aspiringly yearned for with his latest single, Moment in Time.

The Toronto-based singer-songwriter and producer has become an international sensation since the release of his 2020 album, Through These Eyes. His most popular single, Summer ’21, has racked up over 1 million streams on Spotify alone, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why.

In Moment in Time, he lures you in with a simple piano melody before the electronic effects start to resound around his hypnotically smooth vocal timbre. His strident passion fuels the cinematically arranged single that artfully unfolds around the sound of waves crashing, minor-key melodies and lyrics that capture emotional cruxes that break through the monotony.

Moment in Time is now available to stream on Spotify.

Acrid Key has ‘Nothing to Lose’ in their Lynchian synth-pop meets electronic rock single.

“Nothing to Lose” is the latest Lynchian feat of soothing alt synth-pop from the up and coming experimental luminary Acrid Key. Once the Twin Peaks vibes in the intro are out of the way, the wavy distorted guitar tones continue to hammer and shine through in the downtempo instrumental mix in an indulgently hypnotic fashion.

The US-based artist and producer released Nothing to Lose as an entrancing showcase of his alt-indie inclination. Instead of following fads and making attempts at assimilation, Acrid Key follows his own vibe and lays them out in trippy synth-laced grooves. With that in mind, the hazy discordantly-tinted soundscape becomes all the more efficacious in aiding aural escapism.

Nothing to Lose is now available to stream on SoundCloud.

Wanted A Peek: N.A.V.E urges us not to fall down the rabbit hole on ‘This Is Hell’

After the downright mind-blowing events that needlessly caused ten innocent fans to lose their lives, over 300 others to be injured, and for so many millions around the world to be confused as to what really occurred, N.A.V.E discovered that the whole room went cold with frigid energy on the ominous new single ‘This Is Hell‘.

N.A.V.E aka Nathan Evans is a Bournemouth/Brighton, UK-based dark alt-electronic artist, singer-songwriter, and music producer.

This is the type of creative artist who loves to blend in rock, trip-hop, and electronica with a moody feel to proceedings, that eerily has you shuddering in suspense for what is coming next.

NAVE’s ‘This Is Hell’ was written and fueled by Nathan’s observation of the recent tragedy at Travis Scott’s Astroworld and the aftermath driven by social media to guide and coerce its users down numerous rabbit holes.” ~ N.A.V.E

This Is Hell‘ from the Bournemouth/Brighton, UK-based dark alt-electronic artist N.A.V.E, leads us into a mournful event that has caused shockwaves around the world for the needless events that transpired. This is a single to place on loud to get the full effect – as this excellent artist takes us into a mournful tragedy that has generated a lot of reflection – on how future music events are constructed to make sure that this never happens again.
