The Plot Thickens: Arizona’s Depollock mystifies our mind with ‘Tell Me A Secret’

With a spark to the mind to light the fuel in our minds, Depollock is back with his second single that will be stuck into your head all day called ‘Tell Me A Secret‘.

Depollock is a thrilling Phoenix, Arizona-based multi instrumentalist & producer. He makes enthralling soundscapes to get away from the negativity, as he loves that true creation that puts a smile on his face, away from all the unhelpful news on television.

He fuses his incredible talents together to help others deal with their problems, as much as it helps him too. Not telling anyone what he does is his way of breaking away from the norm — his style is mysterious and this is for a reason — that he keeps close to his soul.

The song is breathtakingly break-beat, full of surprises and twists, with feeling that has you electrified beyond belief, the sound catches your stomach and doesn’t let go anytime soon.

‘Tell Me A Secret‘ from the free-feeling Arizona producer Depollock, is that deep look inside their heart as you don’t want them to go, but if they do, you want to know something that no one else knows. That urge to be closer to that person you love no matter what is sometimes rewarding, however it can also break your heart too.

L.A. BAND CAFÉ SOCIETY FLY IN STRONG WITH ‘DAYLIGHT STORM’

Café Society stride in with their catchy sax and drum-infused new release “Daylight Storm”.

Café Society, originally formed in Phoenix, Arizona as the power-punk trio The Convertibles in late 1981 by Chicago born and raised musician, singer and songwriter Richard Morris, the original lineup featured Morris on guitar and vocals, Burton Korer on bass and Monique Bera on drums. Inspired by local Phoenix bands The Jetzons and Meat Puppets, they played about a dozen live gigs and recorded a seven-song demo at Camelback Studios in 1982.

After raising five children and retiring from a 26-year teaching career, Morris re-formed the band in the Netherlands in 2019 with Russian bassist Andrey Zakharov and Paraguayan drummer Christian Palmieri, reviving the original 80s-esque style of Café Society and releasing the band’s first single, “Daylight Storm”.

The new band—re-formed and rejuvenated—has a vibe that is alight, musicianship of a high standard and energy that is peaceful; especially refreshing in a year with so much turmoil, this is a fantastic listen that is both healing and hopeful.

“Daylight Storm” takes us on a musical journey through a dark and gloomy storm whose cheerful and upbeat energy reveals a silver lining and sunshine beyond the tempest. Simply put, a wonderful experience and a top track.

David Givens shows us his strong vocals on new R&B track ”Delusional”

South Carolina native David Givens is a USA based singer-songwriter who performs mainly Pop/R&B and EDM.

”Delusional” is the new and powerful single release from Trinidadian David Givens and he gives it all on this one. With a strong voice and lots of passion, this experienced singer impresses on this new song. This is all about knowing someone that things that they have control over you but they don’t at all. David makes it very clear that this isn’t the case in no uncertain terms.

David began performing when was a child and began his life as a pull-time performer in 2015. He maintains his proud Southern Gospel influence he gained growing up in Green Pond in South Carolina.

After the success of his previous work, David is hard at work with his upcoming album ”Phoenix” which is set to drop in 2021. This is a fine musician with a bright future as he has what it takes to reach the top.

Cleveland born singer Corry Michaels pulls on our heartstrings with ”Bridges”

You want to be with that special one in your life. You are so in love but you feel like it is so far away right now. Trying hard to get over them is so tough and you don’t know what to do. You build bridges to try and get as far away from them but you are still in love.

Corry Michaels is here with his new single and this guy can really sing. His huge voice is on full display with the powerful pop ballad ”Bridges”. This song is all about building that barrier from heartbreak and he sings with such passion. The US singer has a strong voice and impresses highly here.

Formally known as Phoenix Ashes, Corry is a future International star with widespread appeal for all ages. Lots of tissues and hugs are going to needed while playing his music as it is so real.

”Bridges” is an impressive single as the vocals are spectacular and the lyrics strike a chord. A lot of us have gone through this feeling before and can relate to the pain. We await more quality songs from the soulful Corry Michaels.

“Rum” by Soulful Sara aka Sara Maatouk might be the most delicious music video of 2020

Phoenix singer-songwriter Soulful Sara aka Sara Maatouk has such a subtle voice that flies into your ears like a pleasant dream of winning a million dollars. She likes rum too. This is the story about why this is the best drink to consume into your thirsty throat without having a mega sore head the next day. Responsibly of course.

”Rum” is the brand new single from this talented singer who dazzles here as she blends in smooth jazz with a bluesy ice style added for good measure. I feel relaxed and the visuals are fantastic. Sara Maatouk is in the local bar and tells us why she doesn’t enjoy other drinks. She is a woman of the people and always makes time for the locals. I feel like if Sara was a super famous star she would still be a local and head there to see friends and have a game of pool.

Shot stunningly by the ultra-talented Dana Bruhn, this is a wonderful music video that is enjoyable from start to finish. She captures Sara’s personality like a real professional that knows her quite well.

Midxnite Ft. Hi Rez – The Point!: A smooth patch on a music marble

A fast-paced hip-hop song flow moulded with a rather mid-tempo beat is what splashes first in your ear when you listen to the intro of this song.

Followed up pretty fast in the second line was a long stretchy lyrical stealth of music flow that’s skilfully interwreathed from pitch to pitch on the same tempo within the actual baseline of the already heightened sound.

The featured artist (Hi Rez) didn’t forget to live up to expectation, with the whole morale high and tensed, he brought his A-game on this song by giving it his all towards his part of the song.

The perfect ingredient that’s needed were all in the right quantity here. For some reasons, the best part of the song was best saved for the last. Finishing the song with special lyrical rigmarole that’s actually golden is all that’s spectacular about this song.

Both rappers further marked up their own respective territories in this song by consciously laying bare all the aesthetic musical features that have distinguished them from the everyday uneventful acts. None of the rappers slacked in making know to their audience the reason why they’ve been quite outstanding over the year.

The song is actually very short, just a two minutes rap song but the punch line was uptight and 100% bespoke. This is an interesting rap/trap music that’s worth your time.

Crow Quilled Confessions Release Fascinating Track ‘A Human Being on the Planet Earth’

I recently attended a De La Sol set at a festival in Queens. I enjoyed an interlude in which a voice from the trio said that sometimes you just need to let the beat play. It’s always nice to hear how artists feel about the things they make and how they make them. It’s also nice to see how artists whose styles vary greatly can agree on certain sentiments. Such is the case with Crow Quilled Confessions. Their track A Human Being on the Planet Earth perfectly demonstrates a group who know how to let the beat play when it needs to.

For the first half of the song, there are several elements introduced that seem to orbit around the catchy, strongly-mixed beat. You might miss some details along the way if you aren’t careful, but one thing is for certain, you will feel that beat. It doesn’t seem like a drum part that needs much elaboration. It may not have much to say. This doesn’t stop Crow Quilled Confessions from letting it lead the charge into the second half, which quickly but organically reinvents its status quo with fuzzy guitars and a bass that triumphantly makes its presence known.

From here, the track becomes a ride. Suddenly the beat has taken a backseat for the exploration of all the other themes that had previously been allowing it to lead. For such a dramatic change in priority to occur while holding onto the mood and tone of the song is a major challenge. Even as the song fades out in its last 30 seconds, you can’t help but feel the beat play on in your mind. This is a song that leaves the speakers and really does affect your mind for moments at a time. It’s not overly complicated, but it’s certainly a fascinating track.

Today Connecticut’s Jay Pray reveals the gripping, moody, lovelorn official video for fan favorite “I’d Go Anywhere (Do Anything)“, which premiered with Northern Transmissions. The Wild Honey Pie also debuted the full album stream earlier this week, offering fans an early glimpse into Jay Pray’s repertoire.  

Justin Romanos learned how to make music growing up in rural Connecticut, both by playing and by recording in his own makeshift home studio. During college at Drexel University’s Music Industry Program, he found a home with like­minded peers, and gained the nickname, “J Pré.” He honed his craft by continuously writing, and spent much of his time in the close ­knit Philadelphia basement community, where he fronted the indie rock band SHMNS. After graduating college in 2014, he moved back to Woodbury, CT to regroup, refocus, and reinvent himself as a musician. He spent the last two years writing and recording songs for this album as well as many, many others that may never see the light of day.

A&R Factory Present: Ruby Empress

Having already amassed 500K plays on Soundcloud, Ruby Empress, with their brand of Scandinavian indie pop, are clearly building up quite the following.

Ahead of the release of the band’s 6-track EP Empressionism out later this week, Ruby Empress have treated fans to a piece of synth pop perfection with their latest offering; Escapism Deluxe.

The track boasts a truly bountiful production. Piecing together elements of electronica, synth and pop behind a thumping baseline probably sounds like a lot all happening at once, but Tom Serner’s light vocals work brilliantly against the amalgamation of sounds.

The song kicks off bubbling under the surface to only then erupt into full-blown euphoria. It may feel like you’re being transported to another world, but you want to stick around to see where else this song can take you.

In the past few years Sweden has really been at the forefront of producing excellently crafted pop songs and stars. With the likes of Tove Lo and Zara Larsson already establishing themselves as ones to watch, Ruby Empress can now be added to the list of Scandinavian acts showing the rest of the world how to do pop properly.

Based out of Los Angeles, CA, Heffron Drive is an Alt Pop band started in 2008 by lead singer Kendall Schmidt and Guitarist Dustin Belt. The duo began making music together when they were teenagers. Both Kansas natives met while living on the same street in Burbank, CA called Heffron Drive, which ultimately inspired the name of their band.

Before Heffron Drive had a chance to take off, Kendall booked the lead of a television show/music group and gained worldwide popularity as the lead Singer of the Nickelodeon/Columbia Records project Big Time Rush. After 5 years of success, Kendall, alongside guitarist, Dustin Belt, got back in the studio together as Heffron Drive.

The two best friends and band mates have been busy touring all parts of the world since the revival of Heffron Drive. From Europe to South America, the Philippines and all over the US. Their first album Happy Mistakes was released in 2015, shortly followed up by Happy Mistakes: Unplugged; per the fans request for an acoustic album. Happy Mistakes is a soaring example of how pure songwriting can be. The music is thoughtful and meticulously crafted to go along with lyric and melody that pull on every individual heart string.

 

So far the band has only impressed and they aren’t slowing down anytime soon. With the release of their two new singles “Rain Don’t Come” and “Don’t Let Me Go” in 2016 they have brought a new sound to their music that has pleasantly surprised the fans and attracted new listeners. These two new singles push the limits of what HD is all about; unforgettable music. “Rain Don’t Come” is a heart racing track full of desert vibes and incredibly thoughtful production. “Don’t Let Me Go” is the new sound for the project, showing the love that Heffron Drive has for electronic music while keeping their unique sound alive.

The band has been hard at work in the studio writing and producing new music. Their first new song of 2017, “Living Room”, was released January 13th, followed by an EP entitled “The Slow Motion EP” released February 10th. They will be playing a few shows in Mexico in January, and then of to Europe for a full European tour in February.
