Buzzkills be damned in Nothing but a Nightmare’s post-pop-punk single, She Always Ruins a Good Time

The Philly-based alt-rock innovators, Nothing but a Nightmare notably sharpened their pop-punk hooks for their third studio album, The Salvation, which features the playfully protestive single, She Always Ruins a Good Time. If any single could take down the boss-level Karens out there that seem to be becoming increasingly prolific, it’s this riotous earworm, which comes complete with frenetically witty verses and choruses that will absolutely consume you in their euphoric pit-worthy energy.

With hints of Fallout Boy and Panic at the Disco woven into the sticky-sweet 00-Esque tapestry, Nothing but a Nightmare delivered a smorgasbord of modernised nostalgia that proves that there’s never any really growing out of an emo phase.

Ristlynn takes us with him in his funk pop hit ‘I’m Going Down’.

Anchorage, Alaska-hailing artist, Ristlynn, dropped their debut single, ‘I’m Going Down’, on November 20th. The party pop-rock anthem has already received an exponential amount of attention; it is almost like we are all simultaneously experiencing the most confusing period of our lifetimes and need an aural pick-me-up.

Timeliness aside, I’m Going Down is a riotously enamouring single, while the instrumentals adrenalize, the lyrics raise an eyebrow and ask “really?” at self-destructive behaviour patterns which have previously been mindlessly glamorised by alt-rock artists. The single was penned during a transitional phase where the artist was starting to acknowledge the pitfalls of hedonism-aided avoidance, I’m Going Down is a subversively-titled reflection of that turning point which led to the commitment of making positive change.

Through pulsating bass, funk-riddled riffs, snappy rhythmic temper and Ristlynn’s sardonically charismatic vocals, you will be pulled into the infectious piece of hyperpop rock from a plethora of angles. Ristlynn’s talent is exhibited throughout the release, but it is in the chorus where he proves that he deserves a spot on your radar with their soul-filling sound. Especially, as there will be plenty more to come in 2021 and beyond.

Any fans of Panic! at the Disco, Prince, Maroon 5, Fallout Boy and Maroon 5 will undoubtedly find the same appeal in the artist’s funk-pop earworms.

MǾǾD dropped his latest track Vegas 4 ThWeekend just as 2017 drew to a close, offering fans the most twisted mash-up of Dancehall, Electronic and Alternative Rock one could possibly hope for. Forget reaching across genres, MǾǾD’s latest track transcends the foundations of sound by creating his own delectable mix of resonance that regardless of your musical persuasions is a pleasure for you to sink your teeth into.

The talented Singer Songwriter & Producer has utilized his penchant for old-school Alternative Rock with his infinite command over music production to create some of the most fulfilling beats on the Alternative Dance scene today. MǾǾD uses his eclectic list of influences of acts such as Drake, Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco & Frank Sinatra to bring his soulful renditions to life. The production to the sound is highly powered by a euphoric mix of Hip Hop Electronica.

In just 5 months, MǾǾD released an album along with 3 mixtapes, in 2018 he’s made it his mission to release a new album every month in 2018, it will be interesting to see if he pulls it off, but with that commitment to the cause, it’s hard to see where the uniquely talented artist can go wrong.
