Bentley Robles – Cardiac: Meet Your New Queer Pop Icon

“Cardiac” is the latest euphoria-laced track to drop from breaking Pop artist Bentley Robles who hasn’t failed to amass plenty of hype since they made their debut in 2019. When you experience the wild energy in their bold and daring pop earworms, you’ll quickly understand why.

As a fellow queer, I can’t even express how in awe of Bentley Robles I am for the unapologetic expression contained in Cardiac. He provocatively owns his sexuality and invites listeners to embrace their own while simultaneously pulling you deeper in with the sultry grooves which come with a side serving of sticky-sweet romanticism.

Many artists fail to find the balance to feed you nothing but good vibes and grooves, Bentley Robles discernibly didn’t. Straight from the intro, you’ll be hooked into the anthemically-charged production.

With their transfixingly inviting vocals and massive sound, Bentley Robles’ name belongs at the top of festival bills. Remember those? They’ll be back eventually, I’m sure, until then, the NYC underground Pop artist will continue to dominate the airwaves. He’s the Queer Pop icon we never knew we needed, move over Peaches.

You can check out Cardiac via Spotify.

The Meta4 Revue – Maltese: An Entrancingly Stylistic Infusion of Blues, Art Pop and Electronica

NYC has spawned an innumerable number of sensational artists, another act which can be added to that list is the smoother than smooth up and coming Electronic Blues Pop act The Meta4 Revue.

May 2020 saw the virtuosos of stylistic soul drop their debut album “Magnum Opera”, the perfect introduction to their ambiently entrancing funk-soaked style is undoubtedly “Maltese”. It doesn’t take long for the magnetic grooves to pull you into the Bluesy feat of Electronically crafted Art Pop which you’ll undoubtedly want to give repeat attention.

I never thought I’d see the day where I’d get to hear an artist offering more sensual evocativeness than Cigarettes After Sex, but here we are.

Christina Li has made her debut with “Truth” featuring Cameron Herring, Yas Akdag, Thomas Bergeron

18-year-old singer-songwriter Christina Li is set to release her debut EP “Strings”. We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the standout single “Truth” featuring Cameron Herring, Yas Akdag and Thomas Bergeron. After the track left us utterly speechless, we can safely say that Truth is an infatuation-worthy soundscape which stands as a testament to the talent of the NYC & HK-based artist and her collaborators.

Finding an artist who offers instrumental prowess, organic good vibes and ingenuity within the song structure doesn’t happen every day. Yet, Christina Li was able to pull each awe-inspiring element together and achieve an ethereally blissful radio-ready hit.

The dreamily melodic yet galvanizing feat of Pop sets Christina Li leagues apart from the other breaking talent we’ve heard this year with her vocals alone. There’s a Nina Simone-level of magnetism within the smoothly soulful versing while there’s a whole manner of up-vibe funk-driven alchemy on offer from the instrumentals. Expect everything from stunning sax solos to intricate piano melodies to transfixingly grooving basslines.

Truth is due for release on August 22nd, you’ll be able to check it out for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud.

Rob Benny – Speak: Accordantly Arrestive Folk Pop

https://soundcloud.com/robbennyofficial/speak

NYC Singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Rob Benny released their latest resonantly raw single “Speak” on May 13th. Anyone who appreciates soundscapes which ooze nostalgic appeal whilst simultaneously leaving you excited over finding fresh new talent won’t want to hang around hitting play.

It’s simple, it’s understated, yet, at the same time, it’s emotionally striking to the point where it feels like you’re battling with the melodies while they’re attempting to ensure that you don’t get to the outro dry-eyed.

With a similar lyrical style to Waits, Cohen and Elliott Smith, there’s a candid honesty to Speak. Hearing Rob Benny open up his soul leaves you feeling compelled to follow suit.

Indie Soul Pop artist Font Leroy has released their latest ethereally warming single “BUBBLE”

Up and coming Indie Soul Pop artist Font Leroy has recently released their latest tonally hypnotic, sublimely sensuous single BUBBLE.

Kicking off with smooth popping Indie Blues guitar licks, BUBBLE quickly evolves into an ethereally atmospheric rendition of rhythmic ambient Soul Pop which boasts a palpable amount of mature ingenuity.

If you’re anything like me, sometimes, you’ll feel a little like you’re living in a bubble, shielded from the world and all its varying atrocities and you’ll know just how sweet acknowledging that feeling is. That’s exactly the sticky-sweet vibe Font Leroy offers through this magnetic lullaby of downtempo Pop which carries the perfect pinch of Psychedelia which amps up the power of the trippy transcendent tones.

In short, it’s a flawless track and your blood pressure will probably thank you for having it on your playlists.
