The time is now: ‘Ready to Go’ is young rapper Jackson Ace’s statement of intent

New rapper Jackson Ace throws out the school books and turns his attention to that real paper on debut demo Hip Hop track ‘Ready to Go’. After deciding to leave school for a full time music career, failure is not an option.

He raps fire throughout and you can feel his passion and desire that is clear via the fiery lyrical delivery and breathtaking bars. The start catches your attention as the classic sample brings you back to that classic Hip Hop. His style is raw and edgy as he finds his style and vocal output through experience. This is that new school rap music that has elements of the legends before him as this mixes these fusions into a welcome fresh sound.

This is the story of being ready for anything that creeps into the door as you are ready with a barrage of rhymes and stories to be that true storyteller that everyone looks up to. It will be fascinating to see how he evolves and what kind of musician he ultimately wants to be. He could either got the new school route of be that young emcee that adds in that classic feel, with his own twist of course. It’s all about being original after all.

Ready to Go’ by  Jackson Ace is the royal flush demo to build from and this is the step up to gain traction in this often fickle genre, that can make you feeling fresh and relevant one day and then washed out the next day. If she can stay focused and work out the end goals, he will be ready for anything.

The journey to a fresh start: Los Angeles singer-songwriter Huney gets out of negative energy forces on ‘Another Day’ (ft. NiSPLASH)

LA musician Huney is on a music and film-making mission in 2020 and she returns with her latest indie-electronic track with Hip Hop flavor called ‘Another Day’.

After learning to play the piano when she was just 9 years old, Huney has since turned her attention to her visual arts training and making meaningful videos. This is a self-motivated creative who has used this horrible pandemic to learn new skills and build her name up as much as possible. When it gets tough, the tough get going.

With an EP on the way in 2021, she has a long-term plan and is building step by step to make sure that her vision is portrayed in the best possible light without any shortcuts.

You feel the opening intro deeply as we are teased with a haunting piano start that draws you in quickly. The tiptoe in the door is such a salivating beginning and you wonder what is next. Her vocals make your back shiver and his raps mesh the two together like ice in water, keeping the vibe cool but chilly real. You feel the energy and remember those times when you just wanted to get out of a place and never return.

This is all about wanting to start the day again as you haven’t had a fun night out and just want to be back at home, safe and away from this negative energy. You are trusting your gut and if you could teleport home now you would.

Another Day’ (ft. NiSPLASH) from the the incredible LA singer-songwriter Huney is an excellent indie-electro journey that gives you the feeling that these are two artists that truly get it. Being somewhere that is unnatural is bad for the soul and the sooner you get away, the better. Being with your tribe is the only way forward.

Showing a humorously honest side in tough times: Berlin’s Grizzly Bird drop funny visuals for ‘The Drummer’s Trauma’

The elevator door slides gently open, the burning creativity has returned after two years of a hiatus away from writing, and the story begins again. The Music Shop is the home of this Indie-Folk experience that certainly wets the appetite of our eyes and ears. Berlin based Indie-Folk-Rock trio Grizzly Bird return to the airwaves of the world with their hilarious music video, named ‘The Drummer’s Trauma‘ which was produced by Cameron James Laing at The Famous Gold Watch studios in Berlin.

His voice shows the pain of life at work, it seems like a great idea but now he is growing tired of this charade. This is a funny video with the main character getting hassled all the time and waking up in sweats from the stress. The cheeky chorus is very cleverly constructed to make you sway around with a smile on yourself, reflecting on previous experiences with some musicians that didn’t make a good impression.

A mellow Indie-Folk flow that is formulated so neatly, the energy gets you to tap your feet and sing too, always a sign of a terrific song. The melody is filled with a vivid sense up humour, the chilled guitar makes you smile and this is a fun song to listen to. The percussion keeps ticking over, and the honest track is terrifically meshed together to put the listener into the mind of a business owner, who is tired of dealing with petty problems that engulfs his mind.

The Drummer’s Trauma‘ from Berlin based Indie-Folk-Rock trio Grizzly Bird, is such an entertaining video with an end that is out of The Walking Dead at times. This is a return to the music scene, and a fresh start to greater heights awaits.

The feeling of regret after a breakup: Excellent vocals amid pain sets Xavier Ralph apart from the rest on ‘Thoughts of Me’

The soulful Sussex pop singer-songwriter Xavier Ralph rides the love wave on his new single called ‘Thoughts of Me’. This is about that feeling of a relationship that was maybe a bit too good that you don’t think will ever get better. You want that lover back but the door has closed and the lock is bolted closed now.

Signed by the legendary indie Uprise Records UK, this is an artist on the rise as his team are beyond excited with his growth and the excellent results so far, shows their belief in him is on point.

The crashing waves flow through and make a soothing sound over the ocean as you wonder down the beach, lost in your own thoughts as you go through everything that just happened. This is the start of a music video that touches on a relevant topic that so many of us have faced. That pain after feeling love; that empty feeling that has you questioning your every move. Instead, this should be when you take it on the chin, get up, heal and move on. This is easier said than done however and will take that extra strength and discipline to be your life jacket and keep you afloat.

This is the story of a mind that is ticking way too fast and tormenting itself about a love that was going so well and then ended too fast. This is a harsh feeling that you probably shouldn’t feel but do anyway. You cared more about her than she did for you so swimming again to new seas is perfectly right in this moment.

His voice is so smooth and each note hits the right spot. You can see his youth and how being in love for the first time is proving more complicated that he originally thought. This is a quality track with the splendid production adding so much class. ‘Thoughts of Me’ from the Hastings singer-songwriter Xavier Ralph is such a clean pop song that it won’t ever need dusting.
