The Ukraine artist ГИБКИЙ ЧАПЛИНЪ (Gibkiy Chaplin) is back with a 20 track album that you can’t help but be intrigued by on Paris — Kavkaz.

The music textures are so mysterious and meaningful, the skill on the guitar to create this music is truly unbelievable. His deep voice is so alluring and is magnified on the lead single Kavkaz (Official video). The ability to tell a story is so majestic and the Jazzy Blues feel is so cinematic as it intertwines with your tired soul.

Other highlights are definitely ‘gellhorn‘ with the track taking things up a notch and this emotion filtering out onto the speakers to our absolute delight. ‘komnata uh da uh’ is another quality track and the bluesy beat gets your head moving and feet tapping with the ominous tone and atmospheric energy.

Paris — Kavkaz is the excellent full album from Ukrainian artist ГИБКИЙ ЧАПЛИНЪ (Gibkiy Chaplin) is one of those underground gems that deserves its due listen. Even if you don’t understand the language, you can appreciate the fantastic music that fills your heart with a sound that reminds you of a movie. San Jose Hardcore Rockers Dead Engine kick the door down and drop 2020’s them track ‘Broken’

San Jose, California Hard Rock band Dead Engine bring us the years theme song with the new single called ‘Broken‘.

The thunderous thump of a start slaps everything else in its path away like a pesky fly. The band smash in with a sound that so many love and so many absolutely hate. While they might split opinion, you have to appreciate the musicianship here as they don’t leave anything left in the locker when they morph into an act that want to make as much quality noise as humanly possible.

With an electric guitar that bursts your eardrums, this is a truly honest picture of the world right now from their eyes. The self-aware act turn up the heat on what has been a cooking year that has overheated even the most sensible mind. I love how this stomps the yard down and brings through a rugged sound that is ominous and so raw, there is no skin left.

The shredding vocals power in and gives your mood a real lift with a song that pretty much sums up the the year. The world is really broken and needs forward thinking leaders that can see through the money and actually help its community.

Broken‘ from San Jose band Dead Engine shows the desperate nature that so many people are in right now. We need to move on with our lives but money is really low and its forcing us to do things we wouldn’t normally do. If you can’t re-invent yourself and find new streams of income, things are going to get desperate and that spells danger.

The endless search for that healthy balance: ‘Stars in My Eyes’ from the magnetically fabulous Sydney talent Beks is the story of how music can take over everything

Sydney, Australia native Rebecca Callander aka Beks captures the dreams from her childhood to real life, on her indie-pop electro pearled gem produced by Tasker on the uniquely mesmerizing on ‘Stars in My Eyes‘.

This is the true story about how sometimes, just enough trust is okay if you are willing to follow your dreams and be weekend friends with someone close, as you are too busy with life and your music for more. Time is so precious and lots of people just don’t get it and blame you quickly for not meeting up, not matter the reason.

Her voice and style is truly uniquely brilliant as this music video shows Beks at her best. Her music vision shines through and there is no one else pulling the strings here but herself and director Murli Dhir. The various costumes are a pleasure on the eye as she transforms herself and brings out her true character in each shot. Her vocals are excellent and the passion she has for her craft is so welcome to see in this bloated era of fake role models with no substance.

Her massive goals have manifested from vivid dreams and she sees herself playing on massive stages all over the world, finding the perfect label that will put in 100% backing and let her keep her incredible creativity and getting her team together. In a sometimes sketchy music industry with hungry sharks wanting to bite off musician souls for profit, you need a small and loyal team to do things right. After all, reputation should be everything.

Beks is quite simply spectacular on her indie-pop dazzler ‘Stars in My Eyes‘. Her story of how she tries to balance life and music is truly eye-opening and relevant, in our overly fast-paced and distraction-filled world.

A happy blend of awesome noise: Flight of Fancy urge us to remain close on ‘Hey Man’

Flight of Fancy bring that classic sound-that was playing hide and go seek- back on their rip-roaring indie-rock single that will have you singing along heartily called ‘Hey Man‘.

With a stomping mesh of strong lyrics, stomping drums, excellent electric guitar solos and edgy vocals, this is a gem in the rough that needs to be crowned. The fun style is magnified with a story about how some people want to hide away but you won’t let them. The friendship is there for life and we can all win if we pool our resources together.

”If you like Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, RHCP, and similar bands, Flight of Fancy is for you”.- Flight of Fancy

Released from the aptly-named Rat Poison Records, ‘Hey Man‘ is the type of song that all your 90’s-head friends can truly get behind. There are no big egos here, only a sound that brings you back to the days when rock music was dominating the world and mosh pits were in full abundance.

They bring the heart and soul into full picture and you don’t want to crop anything on this fantastic track. Rock will never die and a song like this, certainly helps to fill our ears with something worthwhile to snack on.

Sung with so much heart and soul, it’s hard to dislike Flight of Fancy on their debut LP that features ‘Hey Man‘. They bring us an indie-rock power track that might nibble on all the electricity in the area when they play live again but that’s okay. Bringing those you care about closer to you during this horrible year, is all that matters.

Filling up our appetite for live music: Nightbird Casino combine genres beautifully on ‘The Mains’

Nightbird Casino swoop into our lives to feed our hungry hearts with their latest epic track called ‘The Mains‘. This is a new song that has been made-ironically-due to the current pandemic as the band were able to lock themselves into their home studio and make an absolute gem of a track.

Taken off their first full length release for two years called ‘Gregorian Nap‘, this is a dreamy indie rock track that has so many genres inside, you might need to get extra fillings to add into your packed sandwich. The sauce is so delicious here and the multi-instrumentalists James Moore & Don Shepherd certainly know how to put on a show with the way they bend genres like an Avatar and destroy any pre-conceived notions about what a band should sound like.

I love how the intriguing electronic-type start taps in hot and then the smooth vocals catch you off guard for a few seconds as you close your eyes and imagine being in a packed sweaty music bar, listening to this quality up close and personal.

The bass-lines are so heavy here you might need a new speaker after blasting this loud to annoy the pesky neighbors, who kept you up late last night with their rubbish music. You can feel the love and care that was put into this new single. This is about that love that was so strong but things turned sour like off milk and you feel a sense of regret about what happened but relief at the same time.

The Mains‘ from the New York and Southern Californian fused duo Nightbird Casino is a song that leaves you gazing outside the window and its easy to get lost in the song. This is a welcome distraction from the morbid news and seeing grumpy and sad people all over the place. The time spent locked inside has worked and this is a quality single to add to playlists and is best played really loud.

Southeast Texas born Billy Beaumont of Peace and the Chaos (Billy BMT) is back with an amazing song that sends a loving message to those special ones that sadly lost their lives during this dreadful pandemic on ‘I Know‘ (feat. Gram Rea).

This is a man who has been in many bands and toured all over, but this means something extra special. Family and friends are gone and the feeling inside his stomach feels like a tangled scout knot that needs time to untie.

The special sounds of the fiddle and violin blow into the dusty room where the friends once sat. Soon, we hear the emotionally charged vocals that speak of laughter and those incredible moments that will never be forgotten. His vocals are so tender and loving and show strength to help those left, deal with all this terrible loss.

Time goes too fast and you wish that you could have some moments back but you can’t. This is the story of a love that has gone too soon and this horrid year of 2020 has taken way too many lives. You wish that you could turn back time and do something but its out of your hands sometimes and you need to dig deep and remember the great moments, and take care of their families, as best you can.

I Know‘ (feat. Gram Rea) from Billy Beaumont of Peace and the Chaos (Billy BMT) is a sweetly delivered indie-folk/rock single that sends a true message to his loved ones that have gone way too soon. 2020 was an emotionally taxing year and with too many good people lost, he has gone above and beyond to show his love and frustration with this wild year.

Music has the power to truly heal. When the foggy mist eases, we can then see clearly again to keep those lost ones in our memories forever and to do justice to their memory.

This is a song you will never forget so hear it on Bandcamp and hold those close to you extra tight tonight.

After they came up with their band name due to a misheard lyric, Dead At Twenty Two aka da22 flow in like a winters day at the local water-park with their brand new pop track ‘Gone Cold‘.

The 80’s type intro is a fresh wave of atmospheric air that flows in through the door of a love that was once so strong but went chilly like the back of a refrigerated truck. This is the story of how you felt the extra beating blood flow from the hungry heart, things were so sweet but then it ended really quickly and you wished you could of changed it. Sometimes things happen for a reason however the deep love will always be there even though you might be forever in the friend-zone.

Colorado artist, singer-songwriter and podcast host Andy Eppler brings his unique style to the fore of our minds on ‘Much Less Under‘.

The jazzy start gets you in the mood rather quickly and you get the feeling that this is going to be a song full of much heart and soul. The bouncy intro is a pleasure on the ears as the gritty vocals have so much blues and soul wrapped around the edges here. His voice is real and simmers hot like a hot cuppa coffee, this is a man that is a true storyteller and has clearly lived life to the fullest.

His artwork seems to be the main passion in his life and probably pays the bills as the music is a treat he teases the world, as this is an incredible singer-songwriter. The way he tells stories is a blessing to hear as he tells us about how he was invited into seeing more of their heart but something is holding him back from seeing the whole picture. Perhaps they are either too shy to let you know more or they have been hurt before and are making sure that you are the real deal. Sometimes people let you in but wait a while until they feel the timing is 100% right, if that ever happens.

Andy Eppler is a multi-talented singer-songwriter, artist and podcast host who clearly has the gift of the gab and he sings with such intrigue here on ‘Much Less Under‘. That delicious treat for our ears: Portland’s Soft Cheese are scrumptiously excellent on ‘Raspberries’

Portland’s grunge-rocker trio Soft Cheese urge us to lick our thirsty lips on their lead single-‘Raspberries‘-that is taken off their much-awaited 25th December self-tilted LP release.

”Connecting the dots between the heaviness of 90’s-inspired grunge and the fog of shoegaze.”- Soft Cheese

The edgy start is such a breath of fresh air from hearing mask-like music lately. The freshly picked juicy sounds are a pleasure on our timid ears and this is something that jumps your heart like a car battery sparking up after a coma-induced rest away from the world.

Gosh, I love the soothing vocals and he steams the windows as the busty bass-line makes you blush in excitement as the deft drums dazzle the airwaves; to mesh together a marvelously created mixture that doesn’t need any further tonic. The temperature is so right here and this daze-filled atmosphere makes you have deja-vu for a short moment, remembering when this type of music was so common. If this is the rebirth, then we will need a nurse to hold our hand tight as this is a happy journey that hugs the speakers just right.

This is a trio that has more charm in their pinkie fingers that most of us have in their whole bodies. You can tell by their social media that they don’t take themselves too seriously and have so much fun together. They do have big goals however, and being on the right label for them is up the list. I hope they stay indie however and have 100% creative influence always, or work with a team that totally gets it.

There is something classy about this grunge-rock act as they impress the soul on ‘Raspberries‘. Sometimes people don’t get your journey and its lost on them as they selfishly carry on with their lives. At the end of it all, Soft Cheese are here to hopefully stick around for a while and take charge of their own destiny and play in front of thousands of screaming fans, singing every song as if it was their last. Then, they will be the ones blowing raspberries at all the ones that didn’t believe in them.
