After a few unforeseen delays and waiting longer than they expected for their ten-track album ‘Another Late Night‘ to drop, Tear Ducks wipe away the tears as they move on swiftly from someone who wasn’t worth it on ‘Shine‘.

Tear Ducks is a happy-go-lucky Nashville, Tennessee-based indie soft-rock band with a real soulful vibration. They make that introspective type of vibe that has you rather thoughtful and also feeling warm inside from their welcoming style.

”After a series of graduations, breakups, and job moves, former bandmates of several projects return to their suburban Nashville hometown after an 8 year hiatus of playing together.” – Tear Ducks

The vocals here are super chilled and kind of reminds you of Dr Dog back in the day, with an authentic sound that is never too rushed, and always honest to the core bone. You feel a sense of reflection here as you remember when you met someone who thought that they were too good for you – and moved on to their dream human – whilst leaving you with a sour taste in your mouth. However, you were happy that it happened, as then you could move onto greener pastures.

‘Shine‘ from the super mellow and meant-to-be-jamming-together Nashville-based indie soft-rock band Tear Ducks, shows us into a true story that has you wishing that they would take a chance on you, but don’t seem to want to. She was so glad that she got out before it was too late. Hannah Kalfas walks away from someone that is severely damaged and manipulative beyond reason, on her much-awaited debut track called ‘Shoulda Known‘.

Hannah Kalfas is a young and motivated indie-pop singer-songwriter from the hotbed of the music world, Nashville in Tennessee. She has a rare gift of an aesthetically pleasurable vocal ability — mixed with smartly worded lyrics —  that gives you that thoughtful perspective, on what could of been if you didn’t close that door for good.

You feel her sugary voice washing over all you in the wind-swept ocean, as she remembers being pulled away by the lifeguard of her own intuition. She tried in vain to save him, as his selfish deeds took over and made him turn into someone that she didn’t want anything to do with. The story of trying to help someone who didn’t want to be helped is way too common in this know-it-all google world, and causes friends and lovers to be lost into the dark hole of despair forever.

Taken off her glorious comeback album called ‘Wonder World‘, MacKenzie Grant is so real on the story of the ‘Little Girl‘ trying to run away and find her own path.

Intimate singer-songwriter, pianist, artist, educator, counselor and loving Mother MacKenzie Grant, is an Upstate New York-born, Berklee College of Music in Boston graduate and Nashville, Tennessee-based creative, who is on a meaningful path to spread her loving message all over the world.

Her voice is so caring, firm but fair and so very sweet, her personal experiences and counseling work with various families of all backgrounds means that she has seen a lot. Perhaps too much for now.

Her path back to music feels like a road she has dreamed of for a while now, her love of performing and projecting her art helps her to heal inside, each word is so meaningful and loving, as she explores the world’s human condition and learns about herself again too.

‘Little Girl‘ from the wondrous voice of MacKenzie Grant, is a striking story about growing up so fast, making mistakes and then trying to run away from them, rather than dealing the issue and taking on whatever consequences come your way as a learning experience. This is a tough lesson for all of us whether we are young or old, but the only way to make sure that you can move on inside your heart and start the healing process faster.
