Sonny Step is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Philadelphia, Pa. He first began playing and studying music in grade school and has since been expanding his music vocabulary to an array of instruments including the piano, guitar, and saxophone. He went to The New School for Jazz and Contemporary music and it was there where he started writing his own music. In the later years of his degree he realized his passion for singing and he quickly began to dominate the live scene around the city. He just graduated and looks forward to touring and leading his band upon the release of his upcoming EP.

Tyler C. is a producer/songwriter born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He began writing songs on his guitar at 12 years old and studied jazz throughout highschool. He went on to Berklee College of Music to study Classical Composition and soon after moved to New York City to pursue a career in the Industry. He started as a session guitarist and now is focusing on developing his own unique catalog and sound.

Sonny and Ty’s friendship began while living together in Brooklyn in 2012. Tyler was producing a lot of music at the time while Sonny was developing his artistry playing live throughout the city. It was in 2015 that they decided to combine forces and make an ep. Tyler’s pop sensibilities were brought to the next level with Sonny’s soulful vision and personality. Sonny and Tyler worked tirelessly together to develop a new sound and are currently working out the live show. Bring Me Back The Music is the first single off of their self entitled ep and highlights some of the flaws within the music/entertainment industry. With its dub/trap inspired track and Sonny’s virtuosic vocals, they hope to elevate the genre and it’s expectations.

A&R Factory Present: Victors

Leeds indie/pop quartet Victors have announced the release of their new single ‘Two Hearts’ for June 17th. Produced by Andy Hawkins (Maximo Park, Kaiser Chiefs), ‘Two Hearts’ is an immense and infectious festival-ready piece of premeditated pop. Speaking of the track, lead vocalist Harry explains: ‘It originates from personal experience of past relationships, it explores the physical as opposed to the emotional’. It follows on from the buoyant, bright debut ‘Tonight’ announcing the band’s forceful arrival onto the 2016 new music scene.

The anticipated track is the first new material since the band’s critically acclaimed debut single was released in early April. ‘Tonight’ was featured by a variety of publications and was also supported by respected industry aficionados including Huw Stevens via his BBC Radio 1 show and Charlie Ashcroft of Radio X who commented the track was ‘absolutely stunning!’. They also performed the track as part of Youtube’s Reload Sessions at their headquarters in London.

Victors have been on the radar of the likes of BBC Introducing for some time after making huge waves last year out of their native Leeds. The band hold their own when faced with mammoth crowds after a variety of sell-out support slows including The Pierce Brothers at London’s O2, Billy Lockett at the Brudenell and hotly tipped Lisbon who recently appeared at the infamous Oporto.

The debut EP and full UK tour is expected for later in 2016.

A&R Factory Present: Teenear Renee

Born and raised in Miami, music found 17 year old Teenear Renee at the tender age of three. She gained her determined and positive spirit from a supportive family and from a musical influence that she emulates; an artist like Michael Jackson left an indelible mark and has truly molded Teenear into developing her own soulful pop sound.

At a young age Teenear discovered that she could sing and has showcased and honed her skills in pageants, talent shows and the praise team at her church. A prolific moment for Teenear was a talent show in her early teens where she performed Rihanna’s “Stay” and captivated her audience and that performance helped her decide that she wanted to share her voice with everyone “Being on that stage and singing gave me such a push and drive and I loved it so much” says Teenear “I remember when I went back stage after the performance and people came up to me telling me they enjoyed the performance and asking for my picture. It was a great moment and it gave me so much confidence to push further.”

The past year has been a defining time for Teenear, with the encouragement of her parents she uploaded pop covers on YouTube and received incredible feedback. That feedback has given her the opportunity to record original records and she is currently working on a fun, summer song she wrote called “Friday Night” that is sure to cause some waves online “The song is basically about a girl who recently broke up with her boyfriend and how he is constantly worrying about her and checking up on her but she’s moving on, Its Friday Night! She’s going to have fun! ,” says Teenear “I love it, it’s fun and gives a little confidence boost to us girls.”

Teenear Renee is currently in the studio recording and prepping her new single. With all that is happening, Teenear is destined to share her voice with the world “…I plan to strive and perform in unbelievable places, grow vocally, grow as an artist, touch people with my music,” she says “and most importantly glorify God throughout my entire career!”

Produced by Malkia “Milk” Hornsy and Kazha “Sizz” Hornsby, “Streetlights” is a brand new offering from the Miami native that details her personal struggles between balancing a love life and career as an artist. Of the single, Teenear says, “Let’s just give it our all. Let’s dance and enjoy the moment”. Dreamy and melodic, “Streetlights” is a precursor to bigger records, dropping this summer.
