Belle Scar is set to release her most transfixingly arcane Dark Art Pop single yet

The Eeriness is the arcanely transfixing forthcoming single from Montreal-born, London-based multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer Belle Scar.

It’s almost a paradox how the soundscape unfolds as raw and cinematic simultaneously, but Belle Scar achieves it with her vocal timbre which is enough to make your soul quiver. The resounding vocals don’t just project power, but plenty of striking emotion which won’t fail to resonate as you listen to the artful instrumentals set up tribalistic intensity behind some of the best vocals we’ve heard this year. Belle Scar would seriously give Miley Cyrus’ larynx a run for its money.

You’ll be able to watch the surrealist official music video to The Eeriness for yourselves from November 11th. In the meantime, you can head over to Bandcamp and check out her equally as mesmerising releases.

MICLEY has made a cuttingly catchy debut with their Dark Pop single “Inside My Head”

“Inside My Head” is the alluringly dark debut single from Alt Pop artist MICLEY who utilises the raw evocativeness of artists such as MCR and Muse and pours it into a Pop production which oozes with commercial appeal.

The tender vocals verse lyrics which convincingly tell you that change is inevitable, but despair doesn’t have to be. Embrace it, ride the waves of torrid emotions and appreciate that such melancholy, apathy and grief can inspire things as beautiful as Inside My Head.

It’s catchy and cutting at the same time. More pertinently, the piercing vulnerability in the soundscape has earned MICLEY more respect than we know what to do with. Naturally, we’re obsessed with their debut, and we’re all too eager to hear what follows.

You’ll be able to check out Inside My Head from October 15th. You can pre-save the single via Spotify.

HONA drop stunning debut single ‘Drop In The Ocean’.

Sparse and stratospheric, ‘Drop In The Ocean’ is a moody slice of Electronic Dance Music, the debut single from Swedish pairing Valentina Ahlmark and Mathilda Ulfes; the tension is evident from the opening chords, the pain of separation and longing palpable and unmistakable and tangible throughout the three minutes ten seconds of the song.

The space in the track adds to its power, perfectly offsetting the strength of the vocal, the ambience and reverb carrying the beats and the swell of the programmed chords to perfection; ‘Drop In The Ocean’ is a stunning debut from a duo that are clearly ones to watch.

‘Drop In The Ocean’ is on Spotify; check out HONA on Facebook.

Head down the rabbit hole with Winter Rae’s new Alt Electropop single “One of Us”

Atlanta-based Pop artist Winter Rae has invited you down the rabbit hole with her latest single “One of Us”. With a touch of archaic experimentalism within the infectiously fresh Alt Electropop mix, you can’t help but be immersed in the ingenuity which boasts quaint nuances of cabaret. Yet, One of Us stands as one of the most stylistic Pop drops of 2020.

“Fuck you but have a good day” may just be my new favourite lyric of all time. Winter Rae’s sound exceeds expectation on every single level. The authenticity, the alluring vocal timbre, the witty sass-dripping attitude in the lyrics, the commitment to ensuring that a song like One of Us has never been on the airwaves before, it’s all there. Watch this space.

Tyler Garrett has released their Sultry Synth-Carved EP “Potential Love”

Potential Love” is the recently released seductively atmospheric debut EP from up and coming artist and producer Tyler Garrett. While each of the sultry synth-carved singles hits the spot, the best introduction to Tyler Garrett’s ahead of the curve style is the title track which will prove just how much vulnerability and soul a Synth Pop single can possess.

Starting off with a downtempo, light and dexterous dreamscape, Potential Love steadily builds in tempo up to a striking EDM Pop single with plenty of stylistic edge. With no hint of hyperbole, it has to be said that Tyler Garrett’s approach to Synth Pop is one of the freshest we’ve heard this year. Not only will you find a smorgasbord of sincerity in their music, but you’ll also be pulled along by lush synth lines which have plenty of razor-sharp hooks to throw your way.

You can check out Tyler Garrett’s single Potential Love along with the rest of their EP for yourselves by heading over to Spotify now.

Pop artist Brianna Marie has released her strikingly atmospheric sophomore single “Losing Friends”

After a successful debut, Brianna Marie has released her striking sophomore single “Losing Friends” which captures the intensity of the emotions felt when friends become strangers.

You’ll find countless lovelorn singles about problematic romantic relationships. Yet, many artists never even think to address the torrid emotions which can manifest when we lose friends. Brianna Marie’s second single is real talk, and I can imagine that many listeners will find plenty of resonance in the moody yet compellingly evocative feat of contemporary Pop.

There is a myriad of arrestingly distinction features in Brianna Marie’s sound. The most tangible is her uniquely resounding vocal approach which amplifies the emotion in the soundscape instead of masking it.

You can check out Brianna Marie’s single Losing Friends via apple music and Spotify.

Stelahr – Hundred Thousand Miles: Piercingly Artful Alt Pop

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNgXPhi4D5U&feature=youtu.be

Berlin-based Breaking Pop artist Stelahr’s latest single Hundred Thousand Miles quite literally left me lost for words. In my extended mentally-incapacitated state of awe, the adjectives for Stelahr’s unique artful style alluded me.

The soundscape was as instrumentally, atmospherically and lyrically complex as you’d expect from the likes of Elliott Smith. Believe me, that’s not a comparison I make lightly. Yet, Stelahr allowed the dreamy and blissful track to sting with piercing melancholic longing which emanated from the stabbing notes in the piano and her haunting semi-operatic vocal style.

The ethereally moody soundscape paired with the official video which was created with a little help from the Sims 4 made the evocative potency of Hundred Thousand Miles even stronger. Watching the Sims character idle in domesticity before springing to life around music, crowds and nature hit especially hard thanks to lockdown. But Hundred Thousand Miles is definitely worth getting aurally bruised by.

You can check out the transfixing official music video to Hundred Thousand Miles which premiered on June 26th for yourselves by heading over to YouTube.
