Hungarian pop artist ANIA is at her passionate best with latest single, ‘Cereal’

With her lovable 80s synth-pop vibe that is so upbeat and uplifting, ANIA returns to further cement her name as one of Europe’s rising gems with her new sizzler about wondering deeply if her ex-lover’s new girlfriend is actually worth it, ‘Cereal‘.

ANIA is a Hungary-based indie-pop singer-songwriter who was formally the vocalist in local rock/metal acts, Malibu Airlines and The Fleet Street.

In 2019’s November, I felt ready to express myself as a solo artist aka sold my apartment to finance my music career and do it full-time.” ~ ANIA

With an emotion-packed vocal experience that can only be sung by someone who has experienced this precise moment, ANIA is quite spectacular on this pulsating new single – that has your mind alive and your body moving to the groove – that is so electrified and filled with that world-class sound.

Cereal‘ from the dynamic Hungary-based indie-pop artist ANIA, is a terrific new single that features vocals so fascinatingly intense, that you will feel compelled to turn up the volume to full. She has a magnetic liveliness that shows you into this picture of intrigue – as this relevant story shows us a scorned woman wondering deeply if her ex has made the right call – shines through and features a catchy beat that fits this ambience so perfectly. This is the type of track that takes your breath away and makes you wonder why this poor decision was made, by foolishly choosing someone else.

Hana Piranha showed their razor-sharp hooks and teeth in ‘Fucked Up Feeling’

Hana Piranha

Hana Piranha showed their razor-sharp teeth in her latest storming slice of alt-rock, Fucked Up Feeling. Their artful approach to rock is shared by few, and their ability to become larger than life through her searing hot pop-rock vocal lines is matchless.

As Fucked Up Feeling unfolds, you’ll break through walls of guitars and synth and use Ryan Brown’s percussion as a guide through the track that is expressly not for the faint of heart. Lyrically, Hana Piranha calls upon your shadow side while forewarning the dangers of hedonistic indulgence. In their own words, “it is a relentless anthem of self-destruction”. It’s worryingly relatable and just as head-bang-able is anything Slipknot have done.

Fucked Up Feeling is due for release on March 11th. You can check it out for yourselves via Bandcamp and Spotify and connect with Hana Piranha via Facebook and Instagram.

The alt-rock powerhouse, Silence in Surrender, is ‘Coming Up’ in the first single to be released from their forthcoming album.

South West London’s riffiest prodigal sons of hard rock, Silence in Surrender, have teased what it is to come in their forthcoming album with the release of the first single, Coming Up.

As soon as I hit play, the virtuosic furore shunted me right back to the early 00s metal and hard rock scene; as the dynamic track progresses, they keep the instrumental curveballs coming with the infusion of thrash and the Seattle sound.

I never thought I would see the day when a track could appease fans of Mastodon, Bring Me the Horizon, Faith No More, Velvet Underground and Pixies simultaneously, but Silence in Surrender delivered that and a whole lot more with Coming Up. It appears that they’re the only one that got the memo about bringing the sex appeal back to rock too – the guitar solos should come with an X-Rating.

Coming Up is due for release on March 4th. You can check out the official music video via YouTube.

Sever trauma bonds with The Stolen Moans’ indie alt-rock earworm, Falling Into

Plenty of new tracks aired on Valentine’s Day; The Stolen Moans’ indie alt-rock single, Falling Into, which explores the dizzying magnetism of trauma bonds, is the triumphant antithesis of most of them.

The DIY LA-hailing trio’s blend of punk energy and melodic, hooky metal pulls together to offer a volatile and virtuosic extension of the Riot Grrrl movement. They’re not short of raw sonic power, but the true appeal to The Stolen Moans is how artfully they attack the production in their emotionally investable tracks while keeping in line with the 4-chord-rock-and-roll ethos. It isn’t every day that we hear an alt-rock outfit delivering their own definitive sound, but all reminiscences in Falling Into are extremely fleeting.

The official lyric video premiered on February 14th; you can check it out for yourselves by heading over to YouTube.

LA-based metal band GreenblacK decides to say no to all the fake noise on the powerful ‘Not Today’

With their 3rd single that sizzles the speakers and heats up your emotions, GreenblacK vows to forever ignore those showoff types who are always exhibiting their minimal achievements with ‘Not Today‘.

GreenblacK is a high voltage Los Angeles, California-based metal band that is led by Haifa, Israel-born lead vocalist/guitarist Yohai Portal.

Like every song we’ve written so far, the process was somewhat backwards. We first created the music and song structure, and only then did I start writing lyrics to what inspired me from the tracks we recorded. There are no specific rules on how to do it. It just happened to be how we flow naturally.” ~ Yohai Portal

GreenblacK sends us into a thoughtful place with a thumping track that is all about realizing that you are so tired of those fake jokers who seem to thrive in a social media world that can take you for a fool. The vocals here are rather full-paced and dispatches your whole soul in a dizzy space, with a soundscape that is raw and just a great listen as you nod your head in agreement with the sentiment portrayed.

Not Today‘ from bass-shredding Los Angeles-based metal band GreenblacK, is a fake-slashing effort that gets a topic off their chest that has been burning deep inside for too long. With so many humans trying to impress when they are actually just lying through life to get money and attention out of others, this is an important message that has you feeling so inspired by this extra loud experience.

Knowing what is real and what isn’t, is the vital key that will open so many doors that can lead you in different directions.

San Diego-based Metal shredder Mike Wilkins knows that no one can stop this brain-crushing journey with, ‘Merchants of Death’ (feat. Tim ”Ripper” Owens)

As they slash the tires and look on in glee as the carnage takes over the streets and spills into the homes of those who least expect it, Mike Wilkins brings the pain on the high-tempo new single that you will either love with all your heart or make you hide away from it all together with, ‘Merchants of Death(feat. Tim ”Ripper” Owens).

Mike Wilkins is a San Diego, California-based indie-Rock/Metal artist and brings in Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens (formally of Judas Priest) on this full-throated effort with intention.

Signifying that they mean business and not sugar coating anything for innocent ears, Mike Wilkins rattles our emotions like a plundering earth-mover and sends us into another stratosphere completely here. This is as raw as it can possibly get with glass-shattering vocals and a guitar sound that is reminiscent of those true greats that are ultimately immortal in the eyes of millions.

Merchants of Death(feat. Tim ”Ripper” Owens) from the Californian solo hardcore Rock/Metal artist Mike Wilkins, is a guitar-smashing doom-filled experience from two heavy musicians who have joined forces to devasting effect. They slice the streets down with expert aplomb and send shivers down the spines of us all, with a treacherously explosive presentation that will have parents scared and the youth enthused. Just the way it was intended.

Sound Animal are at their Dystopian best with a single that might cause car alarms to go off without notice on, ‘Outlaw of No’

After impressively shredding the walls down and bringing us something so brilliant and totally original away from the dull copycats with ‘Botulism Cafe‘, Sound Animal hungrily crunches into our surprised speakers with ‘Outlaw of No‘.

Sound Animal is a multi-talented experimental California-based band that somehow manages to fuse in brilliant sparks of enthralling psychedelic rock, electronic, doom and metal to lather our senses alive.

The most common genres are noise metal, experimental, dark ambient, neo-psych rock, drone, electroacoustic and avant-garde neo-classical, but most songs can’t easily be placed squarely into any label. Life is strange that way.” ~ Sound Animal

Sending our ears into a new world that has been keeping us locked inside a cage for too long, we find the key to breaking away and running far from whatever has been holding us back from seeing life the way it should be. With a freedom-seeking element of courage and creativity absorbed inside each second – you will feel totally overpowered here – and might need a cold shower afterwards to fully let this mesmerizing single seep deeply into your blushing veins.

Break out of the cage that holds you back, before it’s too late. Leap through its walls, land in the loamy rich dirt, roll, sing, and walk away, alone, head held high.” ~ Sound Animal

Outlaw of No‘ from the genre-defying doom-and-more California act Sound Animal, slices a Dystopian world right into our blood-soaked laps like a hundred ravenous claw-hungry Owls who has grown into majestic beasts who seem like they are from another planet entirely. This is a cutting edge piece of art that feels like is perfect for an important scene in a cult-like movie when everything hits the fan, as its cinematic value is absolutely priceless.

Cutting through your mind and waking you up to live your life, is exactly what is on offer here and this is a song for the brave souls who aren’t afraid to rattle the cages of this plastic-ridden world. Music is meant to be different, and this is one of the best experimental adventures you will surely dig deep into all year.

Purge yourselves via District 13’s post-hardcore stormer, Step into the Fire

There was little chance of forgetting the mesmeric furore of District 13, which we were introduced to via their 2019 single, Soma. The Exeter-hailing virtuosic sons have driven even more frenetic finesse into their sound over lockdown if their latest single, Step into the Fire, is anything to go by.

Between the old-school Black Sabbath vibes and the hints of post-hardcore, their own darkly maniacal alt-metal signature sound had plenty of room to breathe. For 5 and a half minutes, District 13 prove the dynamism in their influence and talent as you are shunted through the unpredictably gratifying progressions. From hooky choruses to theatrical interludes to thrash metal breakdowns, Step into the Fire offers it all. We highly recommend any alt-metal fan with an open mind instead of a petulant fixation on the past purges themselves within Step into the Fire.

The official video for District 13’s single, Step Into the Fire, is now available to stream on YouTube.

Detroit rock/metal band Hyperiff misses that recognizable world on ‘Take Me Back’

Asking us to guide them through the darkness that has engulfed a world that has undoubtedly transformed drastically from their educated viewpoint, Hyperiff urge those happy times to return quickly on their epic new single called ‘Take Me Back‘.

Hyperiff is a Metro Detroit, USA-based 3-piece rock/metal band who seem to only make those cinematic masterstrokes that have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up to attention.

With an electric arrangement that takes your mind back to the classic memories of the ’80s, Hyperiff dazzle in stupendous fashion with a single that will have you gazing outside and recalling the past moments that you treasure fondly.

Take Me Back‘ from the melodically infused Metro Detroit, USA-based rock/metal act Hyperiff, is a deeply personal song that has you gliding up to the sky and going on a journey back to that place that felt so warm and safe. Sung with a heightened touch by a singer who lets us into her emotional picture of trauma – this is a simply ear-catching single – made with such tender care and love.

Sometimes the world seems ugly and hides away the healthy light, as we hold that caring person’s hand and find that happy place again.
