Pr0xy drops on his knees and asks for that love to return on new single, ‘Picture On My Phone’

As he flips to the image he knows shouldn’t trigger those feelings but still does nonetheless, Pr0xy gazes in a daydream and wishes that this sweet love would come back and be more simple this time on ‘Picture On My Phone‘.

Pr0xy is a 19-year old West Tennessee, USA-based indie multi-genre artist who intertwines alt-rap, trap-metal, pop-punk and grunge into one original piece of art.

His music comes deep from his emotions, feelings, and past experiences. From heartbreak to abuse, first love to great memories, the inspiration is everywhere.” ~ Pr0xy

Singing with a really contemplative look into a former romance that was loaded with laughs but ultimately more pain than was needed, Pr0xy is so honest and leads us into this fiery time – that he misses so much – but know that the memory should be fading away quicker than it is. This is a real anthem for anyone who has dealt with trauma in love before and needs that reassurance, that they are not alone in haggling with these conflicting emotions.

Picture On My Phone‘ from West Tennessee, USA-based indie alt-rap/trap-metal solo musician Pr0xy, is a dynamic single that has you recalling back to the time when you were in a relationship that was strained but the good times were amazing. The overriding feeling is that you wish that you could kiss again and make everything better, but know that ultimately you aren’t good for each other as the mental strain was too much. If only love was just tranquil, without any of the pain attached that hurts your broken heart to its core.

DC’s Minti takes our breath away with metal-infused dubstep ear-shaker that is, ‘Bandit’

Taken off his recent 3-track EP named ‘Mintality‘, Minti has expertly created something so thrilling you might think that you are in a nightclub video game that has your whole body in a tremendous zone to party all night as the ‘Bandit‘.

Joe Berlin aka Minti is a DC, USA-based self-described 80s hair-metal-meets-dubstep artist who is also a proud graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

If the guitarist from Iron Maiden and Excision were to procreate, their audio child would sound like Minti.” ~ Minti

Swirling upwards from the vicious underground to pinch us awake again, Minti might be one of the most innovative artists around currently as his laser-sharp creation whips you swiftly into shape.

Bandit‘ from the DC-based indie metal/dubstep-fusion solo artist Minti, is a whirlpool of sonic-speed sounds that might splash furiously all over you as you keep spinning until you find that happy place. With a visionary style and an ever-evolving mindset, this is a unique track that shows us all that making music is about constructing something new. In a world that curiously rewards copycats, this is a show of defiance from someone who believes in changing the game.

Making music to inspire others, is the best way to open up our minds to get away from the mind-numbing paste that can undesirably stick all over your soul like discarded chewing gum.

Angils delivered a stellar slice of progressive metal with their latest single, Drowning.

‘Drowning’ is the latest melodic metal single from the arrestingly talented alternative artist, Angils, who puts their own sludgy signature spin on the genre – to an atmospherically enticing effect.

With nuances of grunge in the harmonised vocals before they break into visceral, guttural angst, the progressive nature of the consistently unpredictable track keeps you hooked from start to finish. From grungy reminiscences to Alice in Chains to angular instrumental interludes to straight-up Pantera-Esque aggression, Drowning definitively offers it all. If the metal scene continues to sleep on Angils, they may as well be in a cultural coma.

It isn’t every day that we discover an artist whose instrumental ability is on par with their immersive songwriting prowess. We can’t wait to hear what follows.

Drowning was officially released on December 30th; you can check it out for yourselves via YouTube.

Ai Kittens bring in the future of mid-tempo metal with their AI-generated single, Alone with Yourself – Gen 103.

As we move through the rapid reforms in our digital spaces, it was only a matter of time before an AI band started to use neural networks to generate songs. At the vanguard of digital pioneering in this corner is Ai Kittens. To date, they have released over 150 authentically arranged tracks based on Rage Against the Machine and the licks of Tom Morello.

In this instance, in all sincerity, we can confirm that Ai Kittens are bringing in the future of mid-tempo metal. For RATM and Morello fans, Ai Kittens single, Alone with Yourself – Gen 103, is the perfect introduction to their atmospheric sound, swaggering rock guitars and ability to use technology in a way that completely reinvents music.

We do not doubt that there will be plenty of rock purists quick to criticise the nature of this project, but we have to hand it to Ai Kittens for their ingenuity. This method of ‘mining’ music which evades the usual copywriting issues with sampling, has all the potential to better the airwaves in the future.

Alone with Yourself is now available to stream on Spotify.

Lazywall is set to reach nirvana if they ascend any further with their latest single, ‘I Will Rise’.

Lazywall

Hard rock hits don’t come much hookier than the latest single, I Will Rise, from the UK-based alt-rock outfit, Lazywall. They give Rise Against and Shinedown a run for their money when it comes to curating bursts of energy that you can’t help getting caught up in.

It’s rare in the industry to find an artist getting the kind of attention they deserve but from the moment that you hear the volatile post-punk vocals against the steady rolling swagger of the grungy basslines in the intro, you know exactly why they have had such a successful run since 2003. It makes sense why Steve Albini worked on an album with them, why they have performed at SXSW in Austin and Garorock in France and to 50,000 people at the Festival of Casablanca and why they have amassed a global and loyal fanbase.

Bravely, Lazywall doesn’t care about catering to hard rock purists; notably, they have far too much fun pushing the boundaries to the point of eruption to create a brand-new sound. After the teasing post-punk nuances in the intro, I Will Rise bursts into a defiant feat of Avant rock sound with the vocals carrying a Dave Grohl-Esque robustness. Then, it demands repeat attention.

I Will Rise will officially release on November 30th. The lyric video will be available to stream on YouTube.

Abandon the Fall – Exhale: A Phenomenal Resurgence of Alt Rock

With all the atmosphere of Porcupine Tree’s Fear of a Blank Planet album and the glitchy post-rock progressions, Abandon the Fall’s stormer of a single, Exhale, featuring Dayshell, is a phenomenal resurgence of the alt-rock ingenuity that faded away after the turn of the century.

The white-hot wailing guitars, emotionally-charged vocals and stormy transitions right the way through the tumultuous emo-tinged track all pull together to create a soundscape that leaves you more adrenalized with each deftly contorted evolution of sonic finesse. Exhale has become Abandon the Fall’s most popular track to date shortly after the release; the power trio will be unstoppable from here on out.

Exhale is now available to stream on Spotify.

Inside My Mind: Unwanted Guest flushes out the unwelcome ‘Unwanted Guest’ on debut project

After deciding to get that rainy day music to the awaiting world as his band took an enforced break due to the horrific pandemic of 2020/2021, Unwanted Guest drops a new song that means so much for a man who has always wanted to release his own music as he shows his likable passion on ‘Unwanted Guest‘.

Unwanted Guest is a Dave Fox-created 90’s influenced indie Rock/Metal/ Grunge project. Dave is known throughout the UK for his work as the highly regarded guitarist for well-respected Barnsley Rock band Seventh Son.

UK’s leading mental health charity MIND has been carefully chosen by Dave and his loving wife to receive any sales from this record, as this vitally important organization helped them both during some dark times. With a kind gesture like this, we find an inspired artist who sounds so fresh and extra motivated to help a team who means so much to him peronally.

This is a well-performed track all about getting rid of that sketchy shadow which feels like is angrily clawing away at your mind, when you just want to succeed and be happy in life. Sung with a forceful but never overbearing style, there are so many ravashing riffs to enjoy on this sizzling effort from a truly talented artist.

Unwanted Guest‘ from the Barnsley indie Rock/Metal/Grunge solo artist Dave Fox aka Unwanted Guest, shudders the speakers and shakes off this pesky voice which is doing nothing to help you in life. The claws are out like a wild cat but the motivation to dust this away from your fragile skin is there – as we are brought into a mind that is strong – and ready for anything.

This is the type of track to put on loud when you are feeling that you need to break away from what is holding you back, as you take a deep breath and remember that your mental health is so vitally important to long-term happiness. A vital message indeed, which needs to be heard far and wide.
