Alise Ashby has released their powerful new Pop Ballad “Gotta Learn to Love” featuring Gabriela Martina

From the first few baroque notes in the award-winning composer and songwriter Alise Ashby’s latest semi-orchestral single “Gotta Learn to Love” featuring the vocals of Gabriela Martina, I was transfixed. The cinematic release is resounding in every possible way.

The pandemic and lockdown gave the world an opportunity to better themselves on a global scale. I was filled with naïve optimism that humans would start to act through empathy, love and compassion instead of hate and fear. Yet, we seem to be moving in the exact opposite direction. Alise Ashby’s latest single is a powerful (in more ways than one) reminder that we can only progress as a society if we learn to love, not just romantically, but to extend that love to the rest of the world. If they won’t listen to Gabriela Martina’s vocals, we may be doomed.

K. Rose – Nothing: Strikingly Soulful Ambient Neo-Soul RnB

Breaking RnB singer-songwriter K. Rose has released their most strikingly soulful single yet with “Nothing”. It may be laced with romantic lament, but it’s anything but your average lovelorn single.

The stylistically ambient beats which were crafted by Zane98 set the perfect tone for K. Rose’s soft, smooth and harmonically flawless vocals which run through the candidly relatable lyrics.

While not all breakups are the same, a running theme between them is the sense of worthlessness which can lead you to believe that there’s nothing left. K. Rose resonantly captures that emotion, if you’re capable of empathy, expect this track to hit hard. It may be tonally warm and inviting, but the level of emotion which was projected through the lyrics is haunting.

David Wakeling returns with brilliant ”Stolen Moments, Borrowed Time”

David Wakeling is a singer-songwriter from Portland in Oregon. He is a full time physician and his music allows him to escape the crazy world for a while. He is back with his new song ”Stolen Moments, Borrowed Time”.

This is an Original retro synth 80’s pop track written and filmed at David’s home during the wild Covid isolation times. The song is perfect for these times as it reminds us all that we are on borrowed time and need to make the most of it.

”Stolen Moments, Borrowed Time” is a lovely song from sushi fan David Wakeling and this humble man who donates all of his music earnings to charity has given us a magical song that is so full of love.

The Portland singer-songwriter with a heart of gold is a terrific listen as he reminds us of being present in life. After 11 albums in his collection to date, David is a sucker for harmonies and a good story. He hope to convey those elements in his music.

Halle Abadi – Hero: Powerfully Resounding Pop

“Hero” is just one of the recently released singles from up and coming Pop sensation Halle Abadi. The seductively moody soundscape is as resounding as it is pioneering.

With elements of rhythmically arrestive World music weaved into the mix and Halle Abadi’s distinctive vocals, Hero is transfixing from start to finish. The emotion which she’s able to project into the soundscape is unparalleled. With each vocal note pulling you into the lustful mood of the track, you can’t help but find the resonance in the lyrics which scratch well beyond the surface.

With a sound so visceral and immersive, it’s no wonder why Halle has been able to amass international acclaim since recently making her debut. Watch this space.

California producer Bobby Beatz makes us rise to new feats with ”Love”

The build shows us the way forth into this transcendent song for the ages. The air is crystal blue with rainbows just after the storm. The earth has washed away all the problems of the earth with one mighty storm. Our bodies are now fresh and ready to go. This is how I feel when I hear ”Love” from LA producer Bobby Beatz.

There is dub step is here with some house and EDM for sure. I love the energy of the track so much, I feel transfixed on each different level to the song. Vocals would of added a tempting twist to the proceedings but perhaps that is being saved for the remix.

”Love” from Bobby Beatz is a fantastic track that just gets better and better with each extra sneaky listen. This brand new artist dazzles on the beats here and this is a wonderfully made song on wizard levels of pure skill that is wholesome. Check out the song below and let’s hope for more mixes of this lusty level soon from this fantastic upcoming producer.

Malaysian born multi-instrumentalist Kelly Teh and London-based Jazz singer Cris Tanzi teamed up to create the most exotically inviting single which you’ll hit play on this year.

The chemistry perceptibly spilt from “Amano” as the Indie power couple poured their respective talents, soul and culture into the incandescent soundscape. The Latin Jazz single boasts accessible elements of Hip Hop along with infusions of Funk and Soul to create a dynamic hit which may put you off monocultural music for life.

My unilingual mind may not have been able to extrapolate the exact meaning from the lyrics, but the purifying, warming tones were efficacious all the same.

There is only one way to work this out and that is by meeting the ladies. During lock-down this might be quite tough but with summer on the way, this is now an absolute possibility.

Heavy Mackin’ is here with his first ever release and he sends out ”Zodiac Freak” for the world’s enjoyment. This is a raw debut and this is a guy that loves the women in his like. The young singer/rapper is at a lost at the moment and feel like working this out is a mission he wants to do right now. The aim is the find his dream girl and right now he is a single man so doesn’t want to be like this for his whole life. With a consistent flow and a different style, he creates his own niche in the Hip Hop game.

Life is such a long ride and it can be years before you truly find yourself. A lot of the time people never do. You stay in your bubble and never move out of your town. You are stuck and never grow. When you do find yourself and your purpose you feel free and alive inside. Having faith is so vital to find your path. Otherwise you might head into many detours and remain stuck in a dark swamp that sucks you in. Forever.

Marc Frazier is a brand new artist in the scene and he raps about his faith proudly. For a new rapper his flow is quite good and it will only get better. ”Finding Myself” is all about knowing who you are and carrying your faith with you. Being proud of being Christian is the message here. This is a solid debut with much more to come.

Kev Scott & The Cherished Times release a soulful love story with ”Carry You”

2020 sees UK artist Kev Scott return with a fourth studio album. This time he is enthusiastically joined by recording band The Cherished Times. The band was formed by Kev to give recognition to the regular number of musicians and singers he enjoys working with and who help inspire him to make music.

”Exhausted Fantasies” is the latest album from Kev and the band and it’s a much anticipated release. His music is hauntingly real and the style is so timeless. Kev is such a good lyricist and you feel the hurt in his voice. ”Carry On” is a strong song and one that will have you swaying back and forth.

This is one of the UK’s most underrated singer-songwriters right here before us. His music is acclaimed and you want him to get the love that he craves. 2020 brings us a wrapped treat all full of goodness and Kev Scott & The Cherished Times impress mightily here.
