Shopping In These Weird Times: Ben Lazarus brings us the relevantly amusing story of how simple things are so much harder on ‘Going to the Store’

Recently signed by Napier Records, a new label founded by Academy award-winning filmmaker Andrew Napier, Ben Lazarus brings to life a song that was hidden away in his thoughts from 2005 called ‘Going to the Store‘.

Experienced San Francisco Bay-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter/keyboardist/film and television production sound mixer Ben Lazarus, makes that true life sound track that is easy to relate to and fills you up with a big grin.

“The reality of pandemic life makes the mundane act of grocery shopping feel treacherous and writing this song brought levity to my dreaded trips to the store.”- Ben Lazarus

This track has an additional emotional element to it as the drums were recorded by Ben’s late brother Jonathan who tragically took his own life in 2013. You can feel the passion in his voice and he powers into a level that is superb to hear, he lifts the curtains up and brings in the light – where there was darkness in your thoughts – when faced with a journey outside.

‘Going to the Store‘ from LA’s Ben Lazarus, is that humorous story about asking who bought all the ice cream and mac n cheese, as you drift down the store to buy what you need, whilst thinking this is so ridiculous but a needed way to shop these days. He sings with a terrific sense of humor that makes you smile and realize that so many of us are feeling the strain but trying to keep a smile on that dial.

Rapper Dan is an enlightened Los Angeles-based emcee with a mellow flow, who consciously gets straight to the point without all the unnecessary flashy bling and swag, that weighs down what music is really all about.

After being featured on the classic ESPN sports show Pardon the Interruption with Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon recently, you feel like this could be the big break he needed to fully realize his wildest dreams.

This is the sweet story of a lover being worried about her man, as he is stressed out all the time and she wants to see him happy. The flow is so compellingly consistent and simple, with a satisfying beat that you can’t help but enjoy on this sunglasses-on, ride through to the beach type of single, that truly hits the right spot.

Breaking the walls: LA’s Shidasp beats his now-broken demons and courageously releases ‘Painting Warmth’

After experiencing heightened anxiety due to this horrific pandemic, Shidasp decided he needed to create and turned his life around via the healing nature of music, through his debut single called ‘Painting Warmth‘.

Shidasp is a brave indie-electronic/pop artist from lively Los Angeles, California who has stepped out of his comfort zone to send the world a message of hope.

With drums from his friend and housemate Omar Khan, this is a marvelous DIY effort that has helped his mind settle after feeling overwhelmed from all the bad news on TV and dealing with this wild time of confusion.

Through his love of music and the inner belief that he could achieve something-while distracting himself from reality, he has opened up a treasure map within himself, to find fond memories and will surely never look back.

The words are hard to hear at first but that is the point. When your mind is unsure and cloudy, you need to close your eyes and let your senses take over control, so you can retrain your brain, to walk through the mist and find sunshine again.

‘Painting Warmth‘ from new LA indie musician Shidasp, is a message of hope that you can indeed break the walls of your mind and walk free again, so you can follow your dreams down an exciting path of new adventures that are eagerly waiting for you to explore.

The prequel to his latest 6-track gem ‘King Of Cups EP, Lee Smythe carefully dusts off the family picture book to show us what it was like ‘When I Was Young‘.

Lee Smythe is a genuine Los Angeles, California-born, Boston in Massachusetts-based indie-folk songwriter, who sings with that authentic old school feel that gives off that classic style, so rare and highly welcome in this plastic-filled world.

With his classy hat, clean suit and smoothly clipped beard looking fresh for action, he slides in the side door with a grin and a toasty performance, that has your whole body warm in delightful comfort.

This is the story of remembering when you were innocent back in the day and had that extra zest for life as a young kid should, going to the beach and recalling those crazy stories with friends, when you did dumb things but it made you wiser. The days are going faster now and you feel like you should probably get back to that part in your life and go on adventures that might scare you, but will get the blood flowing and inspire you again.

His voice is a good time on the curious ears, as he takes you back to those fun days through a vocal delivery that is strong and so pleasurable for all your senses, his terrific guitar style only makes this a memorable experience.

Can’t feel my face: LA’s Brian Angelo blocks out his current helplessness with wild adventure on ‘Hell of a Night’

Inspired by The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights‘, Brian Angelo kicks up the volume and shows us what a ‘Hell of a Night‘ looks like with his 3rd single that numbs the pain for a while, so he can step out of the lonely darkness for a mile.

Brian Angelo is a determined Los Angeles, California-based r&b/pop singer-songwriter, drummer and pianist, who makes that real 80’s influenced music that makes you dance and self-reflect at the same time. He grew up as one of nine siblings and had a rough life as a teen so you can feel the passion in his voice, that makes you realize that he isn’t ever going back to that life. This is what he does and there are no other options but success.

This is the true story about how he needed a break from it all and zoning out for a while was a way to step away from being by himself too long.
