Mhic poignantly captures 21st-century anxiety in her resoundingly tender debut release “Fear”

Up and coming Indie Pop artist Mhic recently made her debut with the resoundingly tender single “Fear”.

Mhic didn’t just capture her own fear in the downtempo minor-key melodic soundscape. She encapsulated the anxiety and guilt which is drilled into our psyche daily. With striking lines such as “I can’t raise a kid in a world that’s burning” and acknowledging how easy it is to feel problematic for simply existing, Fear hits hard. Yet, there will always be a priceless amount of comfort in tracks such as Fear. It’s so easy to feel isolated by your own fear, Mhic proves just how universally bruising fear really is.

Richard Petch – A New Conspiracy: The Most Accurate Sign of the Times You’ll Hear

Reading the word ‘conspiracy’ is usually enough to irritate me these days. Yet it’s safe to say that Richard Petch’s new single “A New Conspiracy” had the exact opposite effect.

The idiocrasy of the population’s behaviour has been immortalised in Richard Petch’s stunning Alt Indie Folk Pop single which will leave you instantaneously enamoured. Fans of David Icke, anti-vaxxers and racists may not approve of the absorbingly melodic number, but anyone who knows that the Dunning-Kruger effect is a very real thing will love it as much as we did.

The artist’s playful yet razor-sharp wit and ability to craft something so sweetly cathartic from such odious inspiration is inspiring in itself.

Teeko Sinatra – New York Litty Freestyle: A Modernistic Take on East Coast Hip Hop

Hip Hop artist Teeko Sinatra paid homage to NYC in their latest mix New York Litty Freestyle which was produced during lockdown. We may all be sick of hearing about Covid 19 on the news, but I’ll always be drawn in by artist’s unique perspectives.

New York is one of the hardest-hit places in the world by Covid 19. Yet, the resilience exhibited in Teeko Sinatra’s track affirmed that even in the face of adversity they’re still putting up a fight. From across the pond, all I’ve seen are the most depressing stories possible. New York Litty Freestyle tells a much more accurate story. It’s without agenda or sensationalism. It’s just pure expression.

After a hazy lucid prelude, the track seamlessly shifts into first gear and the East Coast mix starts to drip attitude and ingenuity in equal measure as the atmospherically fiery mix unravels.

Raphi poured soulfully organic good vibes onto the airwaves with her Lo-Fi Pop track “When We Gonna”

It’s safe to say that up and coming Pop artist Raphi is on creative fire during lockdown. Her latest track “When We Gonna” is just one of the organically soulful singles which she’s written and co-produced during quarantine to share some much-needed good vibes on the airwaves.

She definitely succeeded with When We Gonna which borrowed nuances of 90s RnB Pop to infuse in a modernistic resonantly uplifting Lo-Fi Pop earworm. Between the funky basslines, Raphi’s instantly magnetic vocals and the distinction which lies in the production of the track, When We Gonna demands repeat attention.

Dale Sheppard – I Have to Believe: Optimistically Resolving Alt Blues Rock

As much as we can all agree that lockdown sucks, it’s hard not to be bowled over by the art which has been born from the uncertainty. While we won’t find any answers which resemble definitive truth if we scour the net, we will find stunningly resonant tracks such as Dale Sheppard’s latest single “I Have to Believe”.

The optimism restoring bluesy single serves as a succinct reminder that what we’re living through isn’t the end of the world and better days are on the horizon. Instead of force-feeding you positivity, there’s an overwhelming sense of sincerity, understanding and rational resolve within I Have to Believe.

With Dale Sheppard’s Alt Folk Rock vocals and the smoky rhythmic instrumental catharsis, when you hit play on I Have to Believe you’ll be granted a respite from the insanity of our frustrating modern times.
