Whoever you revere as the most iconic emotive indie rock acts of all time, everyone can agree that the Leeds, UK-hailing 4-piece Milford Place deserve a spot in the evocative rock hall of fame, especially after ‘Lately’ entered their discography.

After making their presence well-known on the local live scene in 2019 by playing to capacity crowds and always finding a new way to hone their live performances, the outfit is looking to come back with an even bigger bang following pandemic stagnation. After dropping Lately onto the airwaves, Milford Place will easily steal the hearts of indie rock fans who turn to sonic sanctity to quell their heartbreak.

With tinges of Peace, Jaws and M83 to their intricately lamenting sound, which always cuts to the core of emotion for visceral catharsis, we have no doubt that the melodic powerhouse will effortlessly dominate the indie landscape in Leeds and beyond.

Time To Explore Again: Les Ailes yearns to be free as she finds her own path on ‘Lately’

Born with a guitar practically in her hand due to the family genes, Les Ailes is ready for her time to shine on the new single called ‘Lately‘. that is taken off her dynamic new eight-track ‘Tennessee‘ LP.

Les Ailes is the Seattle-born project of soulfully authentic indie modern-folk singer-songwriter Rylie DeGarmo. She makes that aesthetically pure soundscape that feels so good in your heart, as you wash away all the doubts by turning her up to full.

This is the true tale of how you can feel down by current affairs in this complex world, by putting the world on your shoulders to find deeper meaning. Standing up for what is right means so much for your heart and if you are somehow not doing that even if you could be being too hard on yourself, the urge can be to look too far in, without looking up to the bigger picture.

Her voice is absolutely breathtaking, her stunning delivery is so captivating as she peacefully lets you into her feelings to show you who she really is as a human. A kind soul has just opened up her wings, as you feel that she growing up before our eyes, as her creativity is soaring and you feel her energies are gaining steam for more to come.

‘Lately‘ from the incredibly gifted US singer-songwriter Les Ailes, is a story that makes you feel so reflective, as you wonder if your efforts in this selfish world are enough to make it better. With a self-aware nature, you feel that this is how she is motivating her mind to explore more once restrictions are lifted – as her soul yearns for more knowledge and experiences worldwide – after being stuck in a numbing box for too long.

Finding his voice in the music world: ‘Lately’ (Intro) from TYWU is a teaser R&B-Hip Hop track to start a new journey

The atmospheric beginning are a welcome listen for those tired souls out there who need a new role model to follow. This is the intro for something bigger, the poet who made music his home and wants to be the best at what he does. The Bronx, New York native flexes his muscles and finds his voice here, with a smooth start as he shows his lyrically ability in full force. TYWU introduces himself to the music world on ‘Lately’ (Intro) and this is a track all about knowing you have to put the work in to be the best at whatever you set your mind to.

”I always said if I got into music I can’t be like everyone else, I’ll stand out and be that one artist that actually has something to offer while still being able to serve our current era and demographic”. – TYWU talking about his music vision.

You know you need the building blocks first to achieve your goals and the extra steps needed can’t be missed out or the foundations will fall over. The young Emcee is forthright in knowing that he needs to put in that extra, as there is lots of competition out there in the Hip Hop/R&B world. Nothing is going to come easy this time.

The Poet who started writing at school and succeeded greatly, wining many competitions and gained the respect and adulation of his peers. Then, the creative juices started flowing towards the often stormy winds of the music game that are fraught with unforeseen winds, and many an ego to contend with. It feels like this is a smart young man who knows what he needs to do.

With a crystal clear voice and loads of lyrical skills in his locker, the door has swung open and he is eager to unleash his music to hungry ears who are keen to hear what the next generation has to offer. TYWU shows massive potential on ‘Lately’ (Intro) and if he can follow his own advice, the sky is the limit on what he can accomplish.
