LA Alt Indie duo Tricks have made their debut with the genre-crumbling EP “The Epic Preview”

Up and coming LA Alt Indie Electronica duo Tricks have made their dreamily entrancing debut with the EP “The Epic Preview”. Given the title of the EP and the resonant magnetism which the release contains, we’re already excited to hear what will follow.

Each of the 7 tracks on the EP offers plenty of affable aural indulgence. Yet, the best introduction to Tricks’ urbanely nuanced production style is “2squares”. With the Mike Patton-levels of sublime experimental ingenuity, you’ll be transfixed to the ever-evolving progressions which flirt with downtempo Hip Hop, Indie and Soul. Each progression and shift in tone is as seamless as the last in this medley of grooving which follows just the right tempo for the track to be as cathartic as it is captivating.

You can check out 2squares along with the rest of Tricks’ debut EP for yourselves by heading over to Spotify now.

Acoustic artist Solly spreads hope with peaceful single ‘’Shelter’’

Shelter from the storm is the paradox you are choking on. It’s so encouraging to be exposed to such positive vibrations from a very talented, upcoming artist like Film Editor/ Musician, ‘Solly’. He mixes these two passions together like an old pro.

Solomon Margo aka ‘Solly’ , released ‘Love & Harm’ on YouTube on the 1st May 2020 and this is the follow up single, the peaceful ‘’Shelter’’. It’s about sheltering your soul from all the fakeness in the world & to just be yourself, the best version of you. This is a perfect message.

‘Solly’ is a young artist who alternates between NYC and LA in the USA. He is still finding his feet in this wild music game and I see a very promising future here. His music has a positive style and is so jazzy with touches of soul. A bigger stage awaits for this fine musician.

Moody and introspective – Perry Ripley releases The Storm

Walking into a storm could be interpreted in a multitude of ways but most likely signifies how someone is still willing to leap through even though their universe may be falling apart. That storm is a whirlpool of experiences, challenges and above all, emotions, depicted by Perry Ripley in his new release The Storm.

Moody and introspective, a true lyricist more than just an artist, Perry Ripley distinguishes himself for a canny approach to songwriting and arrangements developed through a dynamic track segmentation that gradually grows in momentum.

You’re free to define it as alternative, but the electronic imprint pushes his style towards a compound of indietronica, indie pop and dream pop, to the likes of one of my favorite, and I believe extremely talented, artists, Eden. In this track, Perry Ripley achieves nothing less.

I seriously can’t wait to hear more from this guy, and you might want to check him out for yourself by heading over here.

Snapdibz has dropped powerful and catchy single You and I

Producer and songwriter duo Snapdibz has dropped single ‘You and I’ pulling in that Hip-Hop sound as he produces this fantastic piece.

This piece is one that deserves to be recognised, the flow is insane, the variety of vocal ranges that come through, and the upbeat melody that plays throughout. The way the vocals bounce of one another is what makes this song stand out.

The Rap takes the lead fast, having this energetic flow through the insanely fast pace verses that flow throughout. As the female high-pitched vocals begin to seep through as the overwhelming sense of emotion pours through bouncing back to the Rap as two vocals start going back and forth.

Listening to the way in which the two voices collide together perfectly, embracing that sound of Rap but also the melody that is sung by Snap with her insane vocals. Telling this story through the lyrics in such an incredible way as the melody pulses through. A piece with many elements, powerful vocals, and honest lyrics. It’s one you must check out for sure.

‘Free Free’ is a product of pop music and chillout lo-fi beats coming together, rolling around in a sensual and captivating melody that creates sweet and addictive harmonies you’d like to listen to ad libitum.

Partly recalling the likes of renowned British singer Sade’s vocals, Tali discovered that music was in her DNA after she learned that her birth mother was a singer and her father a pianist and bass player.

With her many songs being featured on TV shows and Indie films, Tali Leda classifies as an all-around artist who’ll find her way to a wonderful career.

TANTRIC CYCLE releases Corona (It’s a long, long story)

TANTRIC CYCLE has dropped the latest release ‘Corona (It’s a long, long story)’. A song based on the way we’re all living at the moment and it’s safe to say it sums it up well.

A rather long piece of music, at a solid seven minutes, with lyrics that portray the truths of the world at hand. Besides the meaning of it, the instrumentation that goes through it is a lot more lively and catchy. Having the fast pace riffs on the guitar and the tap on the drums adding in the electric guitar shreds towards the end.

The vocals are filled with energy and have a rather quiet volume to them, with a soft texture. Halfway through the style changes a little and becomes more of a rock song, as the volume is heightened and the instrumentation becomes slightly heavier.

Kela Parker releases new single Come Spring: A truly mesmerising piece of music

Los-Angeles Folk singer-songwriter Kela Parker has recently released her new single ‘’Come Spring’’. An enticing and mysterious track, with dark yet angelic vocals and slow soothing instrumentals.

Kela has such unique vocals, the style ranges it’s something that you wouldn’t normally hear on a daily basis which is what makes this track so enchanting. There’s this rather chilling instrumental at the start, with the sound of a deep breath flowing alongside. Then within the first few seconds your hooked in as Kela’s vocals take the track to a whole new level, sounding fairly brittle at times, but as she gradually starts to go higher her voice is very strong and melodic.

This whole track makes you feel this curious amount of suspense, but not in a bad way, it has you listening to every second carefully, because it is so compelling to listen too.

Kela Parker has created a track that leaves you wanting to hear more and to see the ever growing talent of her vocal ranges, we can’t wait to see what she does next.

Elin Bellander – Distant: An incredibly ambiguous yet meaningful pop hit

Pop mixed with elements of R&B is what the new single ‘’Distant’’ by Swedish artist Elin Bellander offers.

Throughout it’s up-beat, infectious and super catchy, it’s one of them that will be stuck in your head, but in a good way. Elin’s vocal range is insane, she has a voice that is so mesmerising to listen too, it’s unique and as the beat begins to pick up pace, the vocal range begins to hit the high notes spot on and it’s definitely impressive.

Pop music is known for being something that can boost your mood, letting the beat move you and having this connection with the lyrics. Distant gives it’s listeners that Pop feeling we all know and love. The lyrical approach reflects a past experience with a relationship, which is a  topic that many listeners would relate too and it screams girl power.

Every part from the instrumentals, the vocals and the overall sound is well thought out and it goes hand and hand with one another, it’s creative and one that needs to be listened too.

The up and coming artist has created a short track that shows huge potential for the future and we can’t wait to see what Elin Bellander is going to do next.

LA Pop Artist Charisma Releases Her Second Single “On A Roll”

Up and coming Pop artist Charisma has recently released their second single “On A Roll”, in which she packed in plenty of the fearless attitude which makes her worthy of her artist’s title.

I’ll always be of the belief that there isn’t enough empowering music on the airwaves, but Charisma has offered a smorgasbord of it with On A Roll which was inspired by the fight she’s had to put up to carry on sharing her music.

While it may not be the most powerful Pop track we’ve heard this year, there’s a lot to be said for the energetic and evocative vocals in On A Roll which allows contemporary Pop and Rock to fuse in a distinctive fresh soundscape which will undoubtedly attract plenty of hype with contemporary Power Pop fans.

Sona – Give Me a Minute – 80’s Indie Synthesised

Traditionally, 80’s singers have always got a bad rap. Luckily, its 2017 and Sona’s debut hit Give Me a Minute hopefully won’t make her cringe when she listens to it 30 years down the line. She offers a melodic spell incarnated by her minimalist back beats and hauntingly apathetic lyrics.

Throughout the duration of the track the melody almost becomes an apparition, a simple mix that is all too easy to forget you’re listening to as you’re lulled by her strong yet subtle vocal ability. Her empowering sound has allowed her to gain notoriety through the Los Angeles electronica scene with a styling is right on the cusp of the modern Indie Pop Rock sound, so it shouldn’t be too long her and her analogue are rising above the underground.

She’s come a long way since her earlier tracks as she sheds the innocence of a choir girl sound to allow melancholy to flow into the mix giving it palpable resonance. Under the right direction, there’s no reason why Sona can’t reach the heights enjoyed by the likes of London Grammar and Honey Blood.
