OCCORO tightened the bond between poetry and RnB with ‘Nothing Gold Can Stay’

OCCORO’s single ‘Nothing Gold Can Stay’ will enamour fans of RnB and poetry alike. From the first offering of nuanced meta lyrical wisdom, attention piques as you prepare yourself to hear more linguistic prowess, OCCORO certainly delivers.

Nothing Gold Can Stay is the title track from the Dallas-born, LA-based singer-songwriter and producer’s debut EP, any fans of Robert Frost will recognise the title, while everyone will get a fresh distinctive sonic experience to indulge in when they hit play. Nothing Gold Can Stay does so much more than just cover the same RnB ground. With almost psychotropic Indie tones in the absolving soundscape, it is as rhythmically transfixing as it is lyrically powerful.

Their lexicon is just as awe-inspiring as their visceral ardent lyrical flow, and as for the production, you couldn’t ask for a more commanding and all-consuming feat of contemporary Indie RnB.

That burning smoke: Dark-pop singer-songwriter Edd Ward drops real song about how ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’

Edd Ward is back and this time he sings with so much real vividness about the horrific and seemingly endless fires in LA on ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding‘.

Etibar Gangur aka Edd Ward, is a record producer, singer-songwriter and evolving creative who started making music three years ago in his Aunt’s basement. Making music has helped Edd to get through personal issues as his depression was getting really bad at one stage. Keeping busy and creative has saved his life and the results are easy to see now as the hard work has certainly paid off.

With the legendary producer Benny Blanco assisting with the writing on this new track, the sky is the limit for this talented artist who is only getting better and better all the time.

He sings with such meaning and soul, the new school singer/rap style is brought forth with a Post Malone kind of tone that takes us for a plane ride over these terrible fires, They never seem to end and something needs to be done about it as it can’t carry on. So much has been damaged and burnt forever which is really upsetting this young musician. The feeling of being pushed to the ground while no one is really listening, is tough to bare and change has to happen with more songs like this.

Hollywood’s Bleeding‘ from the multi-skilled Edd Ward is a deep track about life and how things don’t make sense sometimes. When things are obvious to the eye and nothing seems to happen, frustration can boil over.

With a real talented for music and an introspective look inside the fireball, this is the type of song that makes other notice that things need to be better.

Take a trip with LA Indie Electro Pop duo Orange Dream’s hard-hitting new release ‘Twisted’

Orange Dream got Jazzy with their latest Indie drop ‘Twisted’, which is exactly what it says on the tin. The solid feat of psychotropic Electronic Indie also doctors in a nuanced Trip Hop edge to give the multifaceted hit yet another mind-melting texture to solidify the ingenuity.

As Josie Rose Molasky’s vocals find the perfect balance between harmony and attitude, the energetic yet carefully contorted Hip Hop beats make sure you stay hooked in the melody right from the intro while lush synths give you plenty of atmospheric reverb to sink into. If you feel like getting nostalgic about your hedonistic days, Twisted will happily send you a postcard.

Twisted may be an independent release, but it is hard-hitting enough to leave a serious mark on the airwaves. The LA duo is undoubtedly one to watch.

Swerving cars to get there in time: Gray raps his way into the hot lane on ‘Last Call’

Gray is a Washington D.C born multi-skilled singer-songwriter, author, producer, and actor who is now based in the entertainment mecca of Los Angeles. He jumps into our minds real quick on the enthralling new single ‘Last Call’.

A lover of the classic Motown music and style, this is an old soul who loves to perform live and give the crowd a night to remember.

The mysterious beginning is brief and grabs your attention closely as the telephone call filters into the speaker and then is finished. The smooth rap lyrical delivery is tight like a speedy UPS driver. There is no messing around here, getting it done is all that matters.

There is no second thoughts here, nothing involving lame indecisiveness and wishy-washy car wash nonsense. This is when you jump in the car to go see her and a speeding ticket is probably on the way but that’s okay. It will be worth it. You shouldn’t be with her but it’s way too good to care or catch feelings at this present time.

His stylish demeanor is easy to spot and the beat matches this self-motivated entertainer who has evolved, made his own lane and is speeding right through it hot. The raps are consistent and so catchy the chorus will be stuck in your brain all week. This is a sign of a top Hip Hop track that isn’t mumble and wack. This is a big boy and big girl music.

Dave Sorrendino – No Goodbyes: A Perception-Shifting Elemental Aural Storm

Dave Sorrendino

New York-hailing, LA-based Indie Pop artist Dave Sorrendino has released their elemental aural storm of a single ‘No Goodbyes’. I may never look at goodbyes the same way ever again.

It’s easy to live in fear of loss. It is even easier to sour what we cherish with belief that we need to cling to it perpetually for it to retain positive meaning. No Goodbyes poignantly alludes to the benefit of looking beyond fear and finding timeless appreciation instead of wistful remorse around what we can no longer touch.

With the trepidation-laden moody beats and purposefully placed glitches in the soundscape which is painted in tones of grey, Dave Sorrendino’s powerful message sonorously resonates over the atmospheric instrumentals. If Leonard Cohen made his debut in 2020, I can’t help but feel it would be reminiscent of No Goodbyes.

You’ll need to wait a little longer before you can check out No Goodbyes for yourself. In the meantime, head over to their official website to listen to their earlier releases.

Turning classic poems into music: True Gospel Bookstore release love-torn 9th single ‘Fades Into Blue’

https://soundcloud.com/user-480694573/october-30-2020-2-17-45-pm

True Gospel Bookstore (aka TGB) was formed by North Carolina native Don Edwards to record his poetry work and to bring it alive again through music. Now based in sunny LA, he also works with singer-songwriter Angela Michael, who helps brings his music to a whole different level. ‘Fades Into Blue’ is the 9th single release and this is an alt-rock song about that lost love.

The steady start flickers like a memorable time in your life when things were way more peaceful. In these dark times we need a hero to step up and help us gain that perspective again. His voice is strong and confident and the name of this band says it all really. He wanted to have a bookstore when he was at college and this would of help house a church too. Sadly he couldn’t get the lease he wanted and ended up working at various jobs instead. The idea stuck with him and now through music, it has come alive.

This is about that love you can’t get out of your mind. You were drinking your beer and life was going along decently. From that moment on however, things all changed and you couldn’t get enough of that smiling face. Sadly things didn’t work out and they left so there is so much regret sprinkled in here as you lost your faith for some time. You wanted to be together but the stars had other ideas.

His voice is full of life stories from that special moment that is now just a memory but also a pleasurable one. ‘Fades Into Blue’ reminds you of those memories that you love so much, but are now fading rather quickly into the dust. True Gospel Bookstore is a classic music creation that has been brought to life through lots of love and determination. This is a man who realized that hardly anyone appreciated real poetry anymore, so he evolved and made it into music instead; to reach a global audience. This is a true inspiration to those out there who have given up and need a humble hero to look up to.

Eliza May extends the timeline of Future Bass with her latest EDM track “I’m Coming Home”

Right from the start, Eliza May’s latest EDM Pop track “I’m Coming Home” offers dizzying rhythmic hypnotism. The sonically-crafted soundscape was crafted to offer entrancing beats along with sweetly enrapturing vocals which implore you to delve deep into the mix and drink in every ounce of honest emotion which was poured into it.

The basslines may carve some fairly caustic cuts, but in its essence, the intricately textured and layered mix is as sweet as Future Bass gets. There’s serious commercial potential behind the LA-based DJ and producer’s sound, practically celestial vocals and ability to make no compromise between danceability and sincerity.

C Major 7: ‘Believe’ from singer Liel Bar-Z and Jeremy Gardner is a gem out the darkness

Taken off new EP ‘Surrender‘, this is the latest song from exciting LA duo C Major 7.

Working on a ridiculous amount of songs with a well-known producer based in Los Angeles, California, named Jeremy Gardner, is the stunningly sweet singer Liel Bar-Z . Their joint project is called C Major 7.

The rustling vinyl, the smooth vocals of this fine singer, these two make a quality team with a combined mindset right now. The plan is make beautiful music and this goal has been achieved greatly. Liel Bar-Z and Jeremy Gardner make a strong team with their soulful song, this is everything that we need during this sick time of mass carnage. Luckily, music like this heals.

C Major 7 strike an absolute gem here and ‘Believe‘ is that sad song that also contains true life stories. You are a bit naive to the world, you have some bumps and bruises- only to grow much stronger. This is a lovely ballad, full of love and knowing that you will learn from these crazy times.

Natalie Duque sings with such sadness about a lost family member on the new single ‘Stay‘.

Natalie infuses soulful folk melodies with a pop-infused style, her music is so sad but beautiful at the same time. Her voice is stunning, almost haunting and with such pureness that gets your heart beating so much faster. Her delivery is masterful on this story of not being able to see a loved one for the last time.

Tomorrow is not promised. This is a sad story about how you didn’t get the chance to say goodbye. The roads were cold and and it was snowing. She didn’t get a chance to say goodbye and the next day, he didn’t make it. You regret this moment so much but there is nothing you can do now but cherish the memories of his life.
