Suffer The Evenue – Compatible Blood: A Rabid Anthem of Nu-Metal Revival

If you gave Korn’s nu-metal hooks rabies, they still couldn’t come close to the rancorous grooves in Suffer the Evenue’s driven-by-infectious volition anthem, Compatible Blood.

The track broadsides you with hardcore brutalism as the vocals chameleonically prowl between bruising rap verses and Mike Patton-style ferocity, putting the fourpiece at the vanguard of the nu-metal resurgence.

The four-piece may have honed their sound since their last EP, but you’ll still want to give your speakers a tetanus shot after they have slammed out the cataclysmic discordance that will have every alt-90s metal fan kneeling at the mercy of these inexorable antagonists.

Suffer the Evenue has injected their own brand of tensile electricity into the genre, creating a sound that finds a refreshingly chaotic way to pull at the roots of alt-metal nostalgia while implanting something new into the razed ground of the airwaves.

Whether you were in the pits for the first wave of nu-metal or you’re discovering it for the first time, the raw energy and relentlessly aggressive pushing of boundaries in Compatible Blood make it a standout hit in the alt-metal underground.

Compatible Blood is now available to stream on Spotify with Suffer The Evenue’s Vol 2. Superdeader EP.

Abyssal Voyage – Step: Nu-Metal As You’ve Never Known It Before

After swinging onto the airwaves with their debut single, Time, in June the Floridian five-piece, Abyssal Voyage, has amplified their eclecticism by unveiling their multifaceted beast of a sophomore rock-metal mash-up, Step.

With angularly cold lead guitars that throw you all the way back to when Korn held dominion over the alternative scene around the Pantera reminiscent aggression in the verses, the choruses were the perfect opportunity to impale the track with razor-sharp hooks that give the track infinite earworm appeal. In the same way Grohl can orchestrate melodic vocal hooks that will stick to your synapses like superglue, Abyssal Voyage know just how to infuse addictive fixtures to their furore-driven sound.

The resurgence of nu-metal is becoming increasingly impossible to ignore; if any powerhouse has what it takes to turn the new generation of metal fans onto it, it is Abyssal Voyage with their unique take on nu-metal motifs.

Step was officially released on September 16; stream it on Spotify.

Project Qoria fly straight through the nu-metal clouds with ”Almost Human”

Sometimes music is just meant to smash you in the ears and resonate with you. Nu-metal is a very popular genre in the world as music users enjoy the raw and rugged style. They like to head bang and keep it rowdy all night. You can feel that this band is influenced by Slipnot and Korn as they really go for it. Their music is hardcore and the speakers give us a sigh of relief when the song is finished.

Project Qoria give it horns with ”Almost Human”.This is a power-hitting band and they really go for it. Project Qoria is a character within itself and was created by musician/producer/former Resonate front man, Jake Packard.

If you are looking for a peaceful song full of roses then this isn’t that. This a power song all about how crazy the world is and we are caught right in the sandstorm. This might not be everyone’s cup of tea but the strength and sound must be congratulated. This is a band headed for the light and who don’t care what gets in the way.

Check this out on Soundcloud and enjoy the heavy-hitting energy.
