Jones pushed the boundaries of RnB with his latest serenade, Rush

Jones

Jones, an artist who needs only one name to make an impact, went where no RnB artist had ventured before with his latest bold declaration of individuality, ‘Rush’. From the deep south’s heartlands to the pinnacle of musical innovation, Jones has come a long way from the early days of sparking his passion for soulful sonics.

Rush is a masterclass in balancing the old and the new. The track is imbued with echoes of 90s RnB, a nod to the classics that shaped Jones’ early love for music. Yet, the way he weaves these influences into his experimental, pulsating melodies to create an almost discordant backdrop which harmonises perfectly with the smooth, flowing cadence of his vocals is visionary. It’s this juxtaposition that makes Rush a standout track that will capture your consciousness for long after the final note has faded.

Jones’ voice is a revelation as it soulfully pays homage to his church choir days while inscribing sensuously soulful poetry that nods to his determination and passion. His ability to stay true to his roots while pushing the boundaries of RnB will see him go far in 2024 and beyond.

Rush will hit the airwaves on January 26; stream it on all major platforms via this link.

Looking Good: Smooth Florida artist Jones wants her to be that special exclusive on ‘Mamacita’

As he sees her cheekily winking at him and slowly coming closer to say hello, Jones feels like their bond is only going to get closer and deeper on the loved-up new single all about building that much-needed trust on ‘Mamacita‘.

Jones is a Destin, Florida-based indie hip-hop/RnB/pop artist, University of Southern Mississippi graduate, actor, Air Force (Senior Airman) and all-round multi-creative. He pushes the mantra of peace, prosperity and positive energy in everything he does, as you feel his passion in his vocals on each track he drops.

I have never been the guy that tried to be like everyone else. I have always been some sort of different.” ~ Jones

This is an artist who sings with such purpose and realness attached like a fresh flower next to a broken one. The world can be harsh sometimes and you can pick up some splinters along the way – but if you believe enough – your dreams will ultimately come true. His message carries the song along just right, as he is never too pushy like those undesirably forceful players who think they own the rights to all hearts, wherever they land.

None of my music has any profanity in it, and I have never put out any music where I am using derogatory language or speaking ill of another person.” ~ Jones

Mamacita‘ from the Destin, Florida indie rapper/singer Jones, is that sweetly-tipped track you play when you are tapping glasses together on the balcony, after gazing into each others eyes all evening after sunset. The fire is electric and real with no stale fabric, as you wonder how long this will last. As you take a chance and bet on forever, the loving nature has you feeling that this will end just the way you want it. Pure bliss of course.

You’ll be in good company with Jones’ sardonically-sweet festive Hip Hop drop ‘Home Alone’

Jones

Breaking Texas-hailing Hip Hop artist, Jones, is set to drop their infectiously high-vibe track ‘Home Alone’; it may be the most sardonically ingenious Rona-inspired track we have heard this year.

Hit play and feel the negative emotions stemming from cabin fever and isolation slip away as Jones proves that you’ve got a choice in how you view the ‘unprecedented times’ as they unfold. The playful charisma never overshadows the talent on show in Home Alone, which, of course, pays lots of references to the cult hit Christmas film. If any Christmas track truly stands as a testament to the absurdity of 2020, it’s this one.

You’ll have to wait a little longer before you can check out Home Alone for yourselves. In the meantime, head over to Spotify and SoundCloud to check out the artist’s earlier releases.
