Couch $urf have released their latest sonically-charged feat of Alt Rock “White Lies. Green Eyes”

White Lies. Green Eyes (You Break My Heart)” is the sonically-charged latest Alt Rock single from up and coming LA artist Couch $urf. The anthemically visceral energy paired with the infectiously catchy Indie Rock chorus is exactly what you want to hear when delving into a single from a new artist.

The raucously magnetic vocals move through just as many evolutions as the tight instrumentals, ensuring each is as adrenalizing as the last.

The punchy vitriolic hit explores Jangle Pop, Psych Rock, Synth-Pop, and even throws in some blazingly bouncy Ska offbeat rhythms to get you well and truly psyched as the accessible yet authentic track unravels.

Any fans of the Vaccines, The Strokes, The Wombats, The Cribs, and The Libertines definitely won’t want to miss this Indie Rock earworm of a release.

The Shop Window have released their ensnaring epiphany-driven Jangle Pop debut “Mannequin Lies”

https://soundcloud.com/user-209777137/the-shop-window-raff-master-2/s-Kd9ce

Now that listening to the Smiths is a bitter-sweet experience, there’s no better time to check out up and coming Indie Jangle Pop acts such as The Shop Window.

The dreamy melodic layers in their debut single “Mannequin Lies” offers the same timelessly enamouring euphoria which has had Indie fans hooked since the glory days of the Stone Roses. But there’s more than just aural nostalgia on offer. There’s a brand-new contemporary resonance in Mannequin Lies.

Lyrically, it is is a metaphorical masterpiece. The debut single was inspired by the concept of facades and how we showcase the most attractive parts of ourselves whilst keeping the dark thoughts, anxiety, and perceived weaknesses in the back. The poetic parallels are one thing, the way the track compels you to let people in is quite another.

It’s one of those tragically rare singles which gets better with each hit.

Dunes Day – Vertigo: Chorally Concordant Indie Jangle Pop

Many up and coming Indie artists struggle to set themselves apart with distinction. But Dunes Day executed it with discernible ease in their second single “Vertigo”.

It’s impossible not to warm to their softly progressive style which constantly switches up the instrumental style while keeping the tone of the guitar-led arrangement beguilingly concordant.

Their indulgently sweet mix of Jangle Pop and Psych offers an instantaneous hook. From there out, you’re gently left to drink in the choral guitar notes which find the perfect synergy with the vocal harmonies.

Vertigo is a stunningly produced single which puts a modern spin on Psych Pop bands we’ve fawned over for decades. We might have a lot to thank the Beatles for, but it’s about time we started giving bands such as Dunes Day recognition for their contributions to the airwaves.

Them Damn Dogs – Memories: Hazily Oceanic Psych Indie Pop

https://open.spotify.com/track/5FxEzTEQNUCUi1SRDiBkzF

Oceanic Psych Pop waves sweep across the hazy sun-kissed Indie jam “Memories”  which is the latest track to be released from up and coming artist Them Damn Dogs.

You’ll have a smorgasbord of nostalgia to feast upon as the high-vibe track unravels to the tune of punchy Jangle Pop guitar melodies and chorally sweet vocals. But that’s not to say that Memories was an assimilative track in the slightest. With curve-ball retro synth riffs and distorted guitar licks thrown into the mix, Them Damn Dogs were able to create a track which offered accessibility with a significant serving of authenticity.

If you could imagine what the Beach Boys would have sounded like if they incorporated a nuanced Punk bite into their music, you’ll get an idea of what’s on offer from Memories.

Grant G Foster – Netflix and Chill: Nostalgically Striking New Wave Indie

“Netflix & Chill” invitations may not be the most romantic of proposals. But with their standout Alt Indie Pop single Grant G Foster was able to pull plenty of amorous passion out of the subject.

“Netflix & Chill is just one of the tracks you will find in the up and coming artist’s debut album “Everybody Hates Me”. The outstanding debut will throw you back to the era when The Smiths, Suede, Echo and the Bunnymen and the Cure were king.

With Johnny Marr-style sweet riffs which are tinged with nostalgia and leagues above the two-dimensional Jangle Pop commonly offered, each note was as transfixing as the last. Grant G Foster’s Indie Post-Punk style vocals also add plenty to the mix by infusing the soundscape with an enamouring amount of soul. And if you’re as aurally delicate as me, don’t be surprised if it feels like your heart has hit your throat.

I definitely never expected to say that about a song titled Netflix & Chill.

Britt Marie – Mind Games: A Pensively Optimistic Indie Pop Playlist Essential

Whether it was the pensively optimistic Indie Folk Pop melody, Britt Marie’s evocatively piercing vocals or the stark lyrical resonance which meant every note in her latest single “Mind Games” was arrestive as the last, I can’t be sure.

But what I can be sure of, is that her personable approach to her sound resounds in the succinctly sweet tonality of the single enabling her to set herself leagues apart from other up and coming artists experimenting with the trending Jangle Indie Pop sound.

Fans of Florence and the Machine, The Wombats, Vaccines, and Marina and the Diamonds, the 1975, and Bad Suns will definitely want to check out the punchily melodic hit. Her music is much more than simply radio-ready. It boasts a rarely found high-energy anthemic vibe which will make you wish it was festival season already.

Paul Williamson – Internet Girl: Explosively Euphoric Indie Pop Rock

There aren’t many up and coming Indie Pop artists who can put out tracks which match the veracity found in Paul Williamson’s latest single “Internet Girl”. The track makes the 1975 sound like a melancholic Post Punk band. Yes, it packs that much of a euphoric punch.

As a result, the chances are pretty slim that you’ll be getting Internet Girl out of your head once you hear the high-octane instrumental hooks. Not only is Paul Williamson discernibly talented when it comes to cooking up infectiously riotous Pop tracks, but the energy which they bring to the performance is unparalleled.

Their instrumental ability also becomes strikingly clear through the jangly guitar progressions which feed into a synergetic, polished arrangement. Internet Girl stands as a testament to Paul Williamson’s talent. And you’ll hear far less talent in many mainstream hits on the radio.

Ben Burke – Leaving Tomorrow: Infectiously Enamouring Acoustic Indie Folk Pop

Morrissey may be making it impossible for us to love him at the moment, but Ben Burke makes it all too easy to fall enamoured with their jangly acoustic approach to Indie Pop.

Their debut single “Leaving Tomorrow” is packed with quintessential Pop Folk charm. With reminiscences to Billy Bragg, The Fratellis, and the Smiths, the upbeat melodic Pop track comes with plenty of catchy hooks and an all too resonant sentiment. There may be some slightly vintage tones in Leaving Tomorrow, but the single perfectly captures the frustrations of trying to survive in a modern world. For anyone looking for escapism for themselves, you’ll find plenty of aural escapism within Ben Burke’s debut single.

Indie Pop Artist S.Karma Makes Their Debut with “Nobodyland”

If anyone is taking notes on how to make an unforgettable debut, you may want to hit play on “Nobodyland”; the first sticky-sweet Jangle Pop single to be released from New York artist S.Karma.

Nobodyland proves that you don’t need a known name producer and an autonomy-stripping amount of polishing to create a standout track. S.Karma’s single came into fruition through their bedroom studio, the only tell-tell sign is the authenticity in the sound.

Even if you’re usually impervious to the effects of feel good music, I can guarantee that Nobodyland will tempt the release of some dopamine. The Indie Pop hit offers the perfect juxtaposion with the moody upbeat music. It’s one thing to hear good-vibe music, it’s quite another to hear a soundscape created by a jaded artist with the motivation to make the world a slightly more tolerable place.

Zechariah Funkhouser’s Funk-Driven Jangle Pop Single “I Get Up”

https://youtu.be/iCK4c8kzawY

Zechariah Funkhouser’s latest single “I Get Up” is the perfect track to slip into if you’re looking for an uplifting single tinged with the perfect amount of plaintive melancholy riddled into the lyricism. Even though the melodically ambient instrumental arrangements are kept light and upbeat, there’s an infinite amount of resonance to be found within the raw and candid sentiment behind I Get Up. We all have apathetic days, and now we have the perfect Funk-driven soundtrack with a sweet psychedelic kick to make them a little less existential. You didn’t expect a soundscape from Zechariah Funkhouser to fall flat, did you? The soaring guitar progressions sit tightly in the multi-layer arrangement feeding into the hypnotic melody which any self-respecting audiophile is sure to appreciate.
