TG Heath – Mellow Instrumental Gorgeousness with ‘ようこそ (yōkoso)’

Ambient, jazzy piano chords and lo-fi sensibilities mix with bang-on-trend electronica in this, TG Heath’s new single, from his brand new album ‘Transients’, released on the 23rd April. ‘Transients’ is inspired by confessional prayer, the follow-up to his debut ‘Monsoon’ – a twenty-track anthology accompanying his spoken-word poetry show which toured the UK.

Yōkoso is a beautifully atmospheric mellow instrumental piece, gentle drums, a rolling piano part that alternately lulls you into peaceful contemplation then nudges you gently sideways with a discordant lift or drop key-shift, just to keep you on your toes, shifting the feel marginally and adding tension and then release. It’s a delightful piece of work, the keys string-like at times, story-telling and hazy, a narrative soundscape which works hard in conveying Heath’s unique musical voice.

You can hear yōkoso on Spotify; follow TG Heath on Instagram.

Corin deliver us ‘The Moment Of Realization’

Moira by Corin

Deep, subtle instrumental backgrounds open ‘The Moment Of Realization’ by ambient artists Corin, gentle echoing guitar chords over the slow, mellow swell of keyboard parts, a repeating, descending motif of picked, chorused notes which then build slowly, drums and bass adding an extra colour to the palette, increasing dynamics until overdriven guitar kicks in around the four-minute mark, reprising the descending riff but with greater power and emphasis.

‘The Moment Of Realisation’ is taken from Corin’s debut, seven-track ep ‘Moira’, a progressive neo-classical journey from prologue through to ending, a soundscape journey through an instrumental landscape of shifting moods and tempos.

You can hear ‘The Moment Of Realisation’ on BandCamp; follow Corin on Facebook.

Cascades Of Crashing Wonder: Abandon the Fall hit the nail on the head again with ‘Forever’

Taken off the superbly sparkling star-gazing four-track EP ‘Infinite Seasons‘, Abandon the Fall step up just in time with the stunning instrumental single called ‘Forever‘.

Abandon the Fall is masterminded by the experienced artist, producer, and songwriter Juan Espinoza. He has creatively formulated the type of act that boggles the mind throughout, as he helps us clean out the dusty goggles that we have been wearing during this horrific pandemic, as the fabulously unique Rock/Rap/EDM sound washes over our thirsty bodies, to make us feel happy and hopeful again.

This is a sumptuous effort, full of pure goodness and wonder. Each part of the track has been carefully crafted by a professional who is totally at one with himself, as the melodies marvel the mind and has you in exhilarating raptures of excitement after a long hiatus.

Forever‘ from Abandon the Fall is a striking track that hits home hard in your consciousness, as you close your eyes and imagine the world in a better place, your heart beats faster somehow as you remember what all the possibilities are in front of you, if you just open the door a bit wider and let your body free.

Moose Wrench – an ‘Oasis Of Calm’

Moose Wrench

Opening up with a solo guitar before the vocal kicks in, ‘Oasis Of Calm’ is a flamenco-y, Spanish guitar-y, neo-classical-y acoustic-based guitar track with gravelly vocals courtesy of Moose Wrench – a.k.a. Leeds-based producer Craig Robertson – interjecting occasionally into the predominantly acoustic track.

The guitar rotates around a number of themes, ultimately returning to the same melodic motif, following the vocal line, interspersed with electronic sampled parts throughout the 8’38” of the track. Taken from Moose Wrench’s new five track EP ‘Dead Stars’, you can hear ‘Oasis Of Calm’ – and pre-order the EP – on BandCamp.

Michael Livschitz mellifluously hammers home the tragedy of silent suffering with ‘When Broken Hearts Are Silent’

Between the title and the stabbing intensity of the piano progressions which mellifluously hammer home the tragedy in silent suffering, you can’t help but engage with the evocative potential within Munich’s Michael Livschitz’s latest score ‘When Broken Hearts Are Silent’.

Of all the things that have been lost and have been changed since the pandemic started, I consistently find myself mourning the fact we seem to be slipping into hesitancy to speak, hesitancy to be loud, artful and incredible, hesitancy to be who we were before in the wake of catastrophe and ennui.

When Broken Hearts Are Silent is not a sombre composition, by any means. It is explorative and poignantly reflective through the way it tugs on tender heartstrings, allowing the keys to say what words won’t let us express.

Any fans of Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Ennio Morricone will undoubtedly want to get acquainted with the cinematic presence which resides in Michael Livschitz’s sound.

When Broken Hearts Are Silent is now available to stream via Spotify.

True beauty in a challenging world: Michael Livschitz performs with such love on ‘Farewell in the Rain’

Michael Livschitz brings forth to the tired world a tremendous classical instrumental piece full of majestic piano pureness, that will have you closing your weary eyes and finding a new fresh perspective on his new single called ‘Farewell in the Rain‘.

Munich, Germany-based composer, songwriter and instrumental musician Michael Livschitz, makes meaningful music without vocals, that has been carefully created to make a real difference to your ever-changing mood. This is such a sweet and peaceful new single that fully showcases the fine talent that is just getting better and better.

The almost cinematic soundscape inserts chills in your body and you shiver with true anticipation of what is next to come. The melody feels church-like as this is so peaceful and clearly took many weeks and months to perfect.

Michael has the ability of a master at work and his only goal is for his music to be heard by as many new hearts as possible, while always being true to himself.

Farewell in the Rain‘ from Germany’s Michael Livschitz is a soothing single full of tender love and care that puts you on a cloud of emotions that will have you gazing out the window- or staring at the stars above. This is a terrific song that is best listened to when you have the candles on and are ready to be reflective. Music is for the soul after all.
