Bang emotional ambiguity cascades into Bang’s alt-indie lullaby, HOLD ON

In his latest single, HOLD ON, the alt-indie visionary, Bang, plunged his eternally expanding following into a pool of lush reverb-swathed ambience, intersected by sharp, reverberant trap beats that push momentum into the hazy lullaby which envelops the senses with wavy dream-like soul.

With this seminal release, bang captured the essence of affection as the harbinger of comfort and the precursor to uncertainty and confusion. The exposition of the dangers of letting down your walls is intricately crafted into the thematic visualisations of the introspective lyrics that are filled with late-night longing.  The sensory expedition into the heart of emotional ambiguity is an irresistible invitation to escape into the delicious delirium.

The seraphically disorientating release marks the Michigan-raised Asian-American artist as the Thom Yorke of his generation while becoming a milestone stride in his set-to-be illustrious sonic journey which was chartered after early exposure to Bollywood rhythms and 00s hip-hop beats.

As the architect of hits that pulsate with modern indie rhythm and find superlative equilibrium between evocative and innovative cultivation, Bang is elevating the airwaves with his solo work and his role in the genre-defying collective, Rarehearted.

HOLD ON will be available to stream on all major platforms, including Spotify, from July 24th.

Andrew Ramey found the middle ground between ennui and euphoria in his indie trap pop single, just fine

With melodies that flow as mellifluously as Jack Johnson’s and Ray LaMontagne’s, the latest single, just fine, from the alt-pop songwriter Andrew Ramey, is a rhythmically arresting earworm that affirms its addictive propensities through the sticky-sweet trap-pop percussive fills and the assured ease of the effect-laden vocal harmonies.

Rather than add to the indie landfill of singles traversing visceral emotion, Ramey found the middle-ground between the extremes of euphoria and ennui to deliver a resonant and relatable hit that is an all too efficacious reminder that when you find moments of gratitude, even on the ordinary to the point of monotony days, you’ll realise that you’re just fine too.

The Birmingham, Alabama-hailing 100% DIY and independent artist and producer’s combination of melodic wordplay and hip-pop beats will undoubtedly see him go far in the industry. There’s no overstating how organically vibe-driven his playlist staple hits are. Find out for yourselves when just fine officially releases on August 8th; hear it on SoundCloud.

Shayla Hamady – LMWYC V2 featuring KnovaT27: horror trap pop has never been hotter

With a music video that could rival American Horror Story and the way that Shayla Hamady entwines horror with moody trap melody, her latest release, LMWYC V2, featuring KnovaT27, is a work of scintillating multi-media art.

The sultry timbre of her dark pop vocals brings a transfixing edge to the track that gets even sharper when KnovaT27 brings his cutting rap bars to break up the accordance that lingers after Shayla Hamady’s ultra-vivid lyricism, which plays with dark themes and romanticism. We didn’t need the Detroit born and raised artist’s bio to tell us that she’s inspired by Eilish. Yet, Hamady still came into her authentic own in LMWYC which stands as a testament to her commitment to expressive art.

The official music video for LMWYC is available to stream on YouTube.

Klo transcends the ‘Small Town’ mentality in his latest alt-indie track.

https://soundcloud.com/klomusic343434/small-town-prod-splashgvng

There’s nothing like small towns for dragging us down; anyone relating to that sentiment will undoubtedly find the resonance in Klo’s latest single, Small Town, produced by Splashgvng.

With reminiscence to Lil Peep in the melodies and vocals, Small Town is instantly familiar but Klo easily sets himself with the quintessentially Midwestern indie vibes which allow Small Town to unravel like an accordantly candid dream.

The single grooves through every consideration when it comes to cutting the ties with our hometown roots – the suffocation imparted by small-town mentalities to the faces that we will regret leaving behind. It’s a gorgeously well-rounded track that proves Klo is well worth a spot on your radar.

Small Town is now available to stream on SoundCloud.

Up and coming Dallas-hailing hip hop artist ¥oung Theory has dropped their latest single ‘Up Now’, with their tendency to start with a vibe and chase it with beats and lyrical flex, there’s no telling where ¥oung Theory will take their sound next, but we definitely appreciate the high vibe trappy direction of Up Now.

B dot Fresh – Back to Rome: The ambiently trippy soundtrack to your wanderlust.

B dot Fresh’s latest single Back to Rome offers ambience with a kick. The Alt Indie Hip Hop artist experimentally layered the production with Jazzy, trippy, stylistic Dreampop alchemy to ensure that you’ve never heard a track quite like this before.

The breakbeats may disrupt the melodicism, but with the tranquilly-light notes breezing through the glitchy beats, there’s no denying that Back to Rome is an entrancing track.

Don’t be surprised if you’re left with wanderlust after you hit play on this mesmerizingly nuanced release. Even if you’re not heading outside, you can head to a new plateau with this smoothly lit single.

Sweet Roddy – ‘Snakes’: Chilled, Laid Back Hip Hop.

https://music.apple.com/us/album/snakes-single/1523816608

‘Snakes’ starts with a delicious little solo keyboard part, before Sweet Roddy’s vocal kicks in in a wash of East Coast auto-tune, the ‘snakes’ refrain separate from the verse, and defined by it. The lyrics tell of a cheating girlfriend. It’s an age-old tale; boy meets girl, girl hooks up with another guy for ice-cold drinks in the club, girl sends other guy photos…you know the story.

Musically, it’s pretty chilled, laid-back trap; instrumentally, there’s a Yelawolf vibe, maybe a little Post Malone, the main vocal front and centre, the chorus more sing-song and lyrical. It’s poppy, pretty of-the-moment, kind of melancholy and posturing all at once. Isn’t that an age old story, too?

CMILL444 has moved the Hip Hop narrative away from glorified hedonism with “Drugs R Overrated!”

CMILL444 dropped their latest single “Drugs R Overrated!” on August 6th and perceptibly achieved their mission of moving the narrative in Hip Hop away from the glamorisation from drugs, sex and excess by pouring some feel-good grooves on the airwaves.

As Scroobius Pip once said “Guns, bitches and bling were never part of the four elements, and they never will be. CMILL444’s sweetly resolving single reaffirms that sentiment. We all know that happiness doesn’t come from anything with a price tag, it’s about time that Hip Hop reflected that fact.

The Indie Trap Pop hit doesn’t just leave you enamoured with the vibrant and accordantly light beats, but with life itself.

Txrzxn x ABJ – Make a Wish: Compellingly Sweet Indie Trap Pop

For his latest single “Make a Wish”, Txrzxn teamed up with ABJ and producer Nextlanebeats to cook up a compellingly sweet Indie Trap Pop single which will leave you enamoured before the first verse has run through.

The soundscape may be melancholically tinged, but there’s plenty more to Make a Wish than just your average offering of Sad Boy Trap. Txrzxn’s incredibly magnetic vocals paradoxically inspire optimism as they run through the lovelorn and lost lyrics. With the intricately angular guitar notes around the steady hits of the Trap beats, there’s plenty of depth, texture and atmosphere to immerse yourselves within while the mesmeric midtempo track runs through.

Perceptibly, Txrzxn has a significant amount of commercial potential behind their sound. It’s only a matter of time before the rest of the world finds out about it. Get them on your radar.

Jack Lyon has released their heartbreakingly bitter-sweet Indie Trap Pop single “100 Calls”

Breaking artist Jack Lyon has recently released their third single “100 Calls”. Prepare to fall in love with the heartbreakingly bitter-sweet Indie Trap Pop hit.

Along with the familiar sound of the solid 808s, there are intricately absorbing guitar notes adding to the depth and the emotion of the soundscape which is already intensely evocative thanks to Jack Lyon’s vocals and the humility-soaked lyrics.

100 Calls may be tonally light, but the stark, poignant and all too relatable regret which was projected into the mix hits hard. Perceptibly, Jack Lyon held nothing back in any aspect of the orchestration in 100 Calls. He’s exactly the kind of connectable and expressive artist we need on the airwaves right now. We’re already stoked to hear what comes next.

You can check out Jack Lyon’s latest single 100 Calls for yourselves by heading over to Spotify.
