Resonate with the fear in RAIANE.’s woundingly honest indie power-pop single, scared

Rio-born, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter RAIANE., has recently released her instantly affable indie power-pop track, scared, which unravels as an energised yet intimate exploration of the boundaries between physical and emotional vulnerability.

The searing hot guitar solos blazing around her bubble gum poppy, anthemic vocals make for an electrically alchemic combination. It is only when the short and enrapturing bitter-sweet track fades to a close, you realise just how invested you got in the bop-worthy feat of faultlessly raw pop. By all accounts, it is an exceptionally promising debut.

Yajaira Eve has delivered her convectively sweet alt indie-pop track, Lover Like Me

Arizona-based indie-singer-songwriter Yajaira Eve, laid the soul and style on thick in her latest RnB pop single, Lover Like Me, which manages to keep the vibe of the track sweet while wrestling with convictive lyrics that go straight for the jugular on the types that always think they can do better while being hilariously blind to their flaws.

The individuality in the slightly off-kilter indie dance-pop production and the playful polyphonic tones pull together around the stellar songwriting that proves just how the 21-year-old singer-songwriter managed to become a platinum record artist so close to the inception of her career. We can’t wait to hear what follows or see how far she gets with her incandescently authentic talent.

After garnering plenty of hype with her previous releases, the up-and-coming RnB alt-pop trailblazer, Lauren Tuchscherer, has released her seminally raw single ‘Complicating’.

The moody and barbed-soul-steeped track unravels as an indulgent juxtaposition for the way it feels so candid and vulnerable but still carries a slick and resounding production that effortlessly sets Lauren Tuchscherer apart from her contemporaries.

With a vocal style that sits somewhere between Lady Gaga and Eilish and lyrics that get to the core of dissonant frustration, there’s no evading the weight of Complicating. We can’t wait to hear what follows.

Ism takes us to unchartered waters with his indie funk-pop track, Unchartered Waters

Instead of focusing on emulating a genre, the up-and-coming artist, Ism, keeps political ideology and the artistic lens as the essence of his sound. In his latest single, Unchartered Waters, taken from his album of the same name, there’s a groove-deep blend of rock, indie, funk, pop and rap that fuses around Ism’s socially dissecting philosophy.

Unchartered Waters finds a nuanced and almost subliminal way to reflect our fears of upsetting the societal apple cart and note how exhausting autonomy can be when an unquestioning mind is far more comfortable. Every time you listen to it, you find something new to pontificate on. We can’t wait to hear what Ism brings with the rest of his highly anticipated LP.

Lex Gibbon – All I Do (Is Cry): The Only Viral Pop Newcomer You Need on Your 2022 Playlists

All I Do (Is Cry) is the latest bruisingly candid pop track to infuse emotional realism on the airwaves from the UK pop singer-songwriter Lex Gibbon.

Seventeen years old may be young to start a pop career, but age is irrelevant in the presence of her emotional intelligence and unflinchingly fearless honesty. She’s a viral sensation on platforms, such as TikTok, has featured on BBC Introducing and ITV and even made strides in the fashion industry as the first curve teen model to walk at London, Paris, New York and LA fashion weeks. Perhaps more impressively, she’s fresh from a UK school tour that promoted her single, Dear Hater and advocated for mental health, positive body image and against bullying.

After being bullied from a young age, Lex carries the same outlier introspection as Camus and Bukowski. The main difference is her ability to craft rhythmically arrestive hooks around her pensive admissions. I don’t say this lightly, but Lex Gibbon evidently has what it takes to be a bigger aurally talented supermodel of the world than Ru Paul. Get her on your radar.

Tanisha Sharma has made her euphoria-breeding debut with her single, Ecstasy

Tanisha Sharma made her prodigious dance-pop debut earlier this year with the release of the progressive indie synth-pop hit Ecstasy, which definitively proves that style and soul against substance is always a winning combination.

When anyone creates music for any reason but the true love for it and the inclination to breed positive sensation within the listener, it’s as disappointing as it is notable. Sharma finds a way to let her intent effortlessly resonate in the dance-worthy hit that more than has the capacity to fill a floor.

Tanisha Sharma has been honing in on her songwriting craft since the age of eight years old. It more than shows in the way Ecstasy doesn’t falter after making euphoria a theme; it resounds in every energised progression. We can’t wait to hear what follows.

Noah and the Sound embodies the epitome of inertia in his indie-pop electro hit, Stuck

Swedish singer-songwriter Noah and the Sound has released his post-punk-tinged indie-pop earworm, Stuck. In a time when momentum is hard to find but not as hard as the grip of inertia, it has all the makings of an electro-indie pop playlist staple.

With an arty approach to cinematic production, Stuck finds the perfect balance between intimacy and intensity. Especially with the contrast between the vulnerability in the hushed and honeyed indie dream-pop vocals and the deep percussive throbs that ensure the momentum ironically remains perpetual. There’s also no aurally evading the sense of romanticism that resounds around the bitter-sweet candour.

Marcel Schechter has released his decadently dark pop single, Circle.

Ahead of the release of his third album, Circle, the German artist and sound engineer, Marcel Schechter, has released the title single. it intriguingly sets the euphonically pensive tone and welcomes new listeners to Schecter’s bold arrangement style that effortlessly resonates as artfully distinctive without needing to veer into the Avant-Garde territory.

With hints of Echo and the Bunnymen and New Order in the melancholic cascading progressions, and the plaintively dynamic vocals atop the mash of dark, fluid aural alchemy, this moody yet intrinsically hopeful single doesn’t fail to hit the evocative spot.

The single also features the revered artists Ben Jud (bass), Jan-Philipp Wiesmann (drums), Thomas Langer (guitar) and Andreas Pohr (lead vocals).

The London-based singer-songwriter and producer, Andrea, has staked her biggest claim in the UK pop industry to date with the release of her funk-dipped bass-swathed hit, All I Want, which was co-produced by the Grammy-award-winning Andre Lindal.

Even without the club remix, All I Want is a guaranteed floor-filler. You can practically feel the hedonism building around the drops and crescendos, which make Andrea’s latest single addictive from the first hit.

As if Andrea’s effortlessly arrestive vocals and synth-carved hooks weren’t enough, even more admiration can be found within the 20-year-old artist’s MO as a 100% independent artist. She’s currently studying production in London, which leaves her completely autonomous in the male-dominated industry that takes up 96% of the room.
