London singer Rea can’t control her love on ”You”

You get the feeling deep in your bones and you just know it’s right. You feel like a teenager again and can’t stop thinking about them. Breathing properly can be hard sometimes and you pinch yourself. Is this actually real?

Rea is a quality singer from the UK and she effortlessly shows her emotions on ”You’‘. Formally from the Midlands, she is now based in buzzing London where she can stay close to all the best venues. Signed to Streets Music, I feel like we are witnessing a future star that is just getting started. Her voice is majestic and I can’t stop listening to her. The vocals are so clear and the love story is so relevant. The feeling of meeting someone that makes your heart flutter like a happy bird is a sight to behold.

Classically trained from a young age in piano, cello and clarinet, and vocals, this is one impressive resume. Add poetry to that list too. Influenced by Emeli Sandé and other artists in this genre, Rea strides through impressively to create her own lane in the music industry. This is a huge talent and her pop infused music is on full display with her scintillating performance on ”You”.

Louisiana singer Rhonda Merrick is ready for the one in ”All the Way”

You just know when you are ready. You love the person and they love you back. Side by side you know you can be strong together and make each day special. It’s time.

”All the Way” from Rhonda Merrick is a story of love and so perfectly explained. She is ready to settle down and sing. Her family is important to her and with these three passions, she is now happy. Coming from a music family has been a blessing and a curse. Rhonda is now moving above all doubts and the time is now here. After being close in 2011, the timing was off when she almost signed with Universal Music. Being a Mom meant so much more. 2020 has been a challenge but when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

I feel like Rhonda Merrick is starting to build up her confidence and she will make a huge impact from now on. She is a musician who has been waiting in the wings to fly. It’s your time Rhonda. Be free and do what you love.

BoogLee is back with bouncy single ”Into That”

BoogLee is back with new music and it heats up the speakers as he let’s us into his story about this shorty he is into. From being in the friend zone he is definitely winning here. This rapper has a street style that works on the mic as he smashes through with this solid release. Hip Hop is in such a flux with so many emcee’s but I feel like BoogLee has created his own lane.

This is the follow up to 2019’s popular ”Life’s A Gamble”. Formally known as BoogJuug his name change has really been a blessing as his career has taken off. BoogLee produced a fun song and doesn’t hit on any serious topics in ”Into That”. This is a welcome distraction and I feel like with one hit song this artist’s career will really take off. He is very talented and the wordplay skills are tight. I would love to see him join up with a singer or another rapper as this would help get his name out there. With clear passion for his music, BoogLee is on the way up.

Goodfellow fires in with striking teaser single ”Illusion”

Feeling lied to and having the impression that you don’t have any real friends left must a sad and reflective feeling. You had hope and then it got snatched away. This certain realization of a falling heart hurts like piece of glass stuck in your foot. There is pain but you can take it out and heal the wounds. Goodfellow is a new artist on the scene with a vibrant style and he flows in with this fantastic single of substance.

With an overriding feeling of paranoia we are introduced to an artist with a telling tale to show us. ”Illusion” has a powerful beat and the start is quite magnificently created. I feel like there is smoke everywhere and the artist is slowly floating down. He is ready for this song to explode into action and so are we. Dealing with past relationships that didn’t work out is flashed before our eyes. Words are pointless now with no actions. You can try for only so long. I like this track from Goodfellow and only wish it was a bit longer. I guess that is the point. This was a teaser track, showing us to the window of where this artist can be. More music is welcome when an artist is a quality storyteller and the content is of value.

Kolby – Kindness & Courage: Hypnotically Harmonious Indie

Kindness & Courage is the title track to the new EP from Kolby, an emerging Indie Singer Songwriter from Encinitas, USA.

His sweet and subtle styling creates a hypnotically pacifying sound courtesy of his soft vocal ability and the mellow and melodic pace to his debut track.

Whilst his discography is made up of slightly more harsher sounds, Kindness and Courage inspires a great hope for the future of this subtly genius artist who has the ability to create music you can easily fall into. Through his latest track he dabbles in worldly timbres, he matches his acoustic guitar strumming with eerie synth resonance to plug his sound with perpetual motion.

It’s clear that Kolby doesn’t like to inflict any genre limitations as it flows through Synth Pop, to Soft Rock, indie to Alternative to create a truly eclectic mix for his fans. Whatever the sound he curates, it’s evident that he injects his soul, passion and poetry into every new musical venture.
